The food was amazing honestly. The portion of fish we got was insane! We really liked it!! Very impressed. Friendly staff.

Fresh protein and toppings. Great portion size. Kind and efficient service. I was the only person in the restaurant with my babies and we were in and out. Unfortunately, it tasted like soap. Maybe there was residue from the cutting board or something. It was quiet and clean.

came in tonight @9pm , and was greeted by Dani. Not only was she very polite and informational on the food products, but she took her time making sure me and my husband got exactly what we were looking for! Her customer service was excellent and the food was amazing! Highly recommend and will be back! Thank You Dani

Went to try this place out today. Walked in and Dani greeted us and was very welcoming. When ordering she answered questions we had and had an amazing attitude. She scooped pretty decent portions too. Food tastes good. The tuna is good. Salmon is ok. Will be going back :)

Literally parked my car outside just to write this review. So my mom was busy working extra tonight to make ends meet so she asked me to figure out dinner for me and my little brother. He really wanted poke so I was gonna get it when I left to the gym but I left to the gym at 8:30 and this spot closes at 10. So since it's raw fish I wasn't too sure if I should leave it in my car while I workout for like a hour. So I called the store asking if they would be okay if I came in like last 15 mins if closing or if I could do a pickup order. I work in the food industry too so I wanted to be thoughtful. They picked up saying they don't really have a pickup option only through DoorDash and I was like okay then is it fine if I just come in close to closing they said "yes you am fine don't worry about it". Tell me why I rushed my workout and everything to get there just to pull up at 9:44 on the dot and they already have lights off, chairs up and is straight up about to leave. Like genuinely what was the point of even telling me that. At that point they could have told me no and I would have been perfectly fine with it or I would have just went before the gym let it sit in my car and take my own risk this was just plain disrespectful what is wrong with yall.

Poke is a go-to for me, and Sweet Poke did not disapoint. They have 3 different options to choose from: small, medium, and large (1 scoop, 2 scoop, or 3 scoops of protein). This is for the bowls, they also have other options as well. Food: the quality of the salmon is great. the fish is tender and has great flavor. I like that you get a lot of different toppings for it as well! You get 3 toppings before you get charged for each additional one. Price: Medium bowls are around $14-16 which is fairly priced compared to other poke shops in las vegas. Plus i feel the staff gives you a good portion. Service: staff is quick and friendly, they are always willing to answer any questions i have. And there is usually not a long line here so staff is quick.

Salmon and fresh tuna 10/10. Sides were huge

The oxtail soup was really good: the broth seemed like it has a good amount of shoyu in it (it was dark), and had really nice beef flavor. There were also some shiitake mushrooms, which added to the umami, and fresh cilantro which, paired with the grated ginger, really complemented the savory elements. The oxtails were super tender and plentiful. The meat was well seasoned and fell off the bone. I've eaten a lot of oxtail soup, and this was really good. The limu poke was also solid. The limu was a nice touch: it's not as frequent to see it on the mainland, and I like the smoky flavor it imparts on the poke. The taro turnover was a revelation. It was so good it didn't make it to photos. The pastry crust was flakey, the taro was warm and sweet, and the Carmel drizzle was really nice. It does take 20 minutes to get the turnover, but I think it's worth it.

Just got one and it was pretty dry. Gravy was nothing special. Mac salad was pretty bland until I added some white pepper. The garlic shrimp was a puny portion of five small shrimp. Pretty disappointing.. have had much better Hawaiian places in Vegas.

As I kept eating, though, I started noticing a strange taste coming from the tofu and the shrimp. I even bit into a shrimp head that still had the digestive tract inside, which was pretty unpleasant. After that, everything started tasting like plastic. I thought it might have been the plastic fork, so I switched to my own utensils, but the taste was still there. I decided to just eat the rice instead, but even the rice had an off smell and taste. I had my mom smell it too, and she agreed that something didn't seem right, so I threw the rest away. About 45 minutes later, I developed diarrhea. I can't say for certain what caused it, but based on the strange smell and taste of the food and how quickly I got sick afterward, I wanted to share my experience so others can make their own decision.

Whenever I'm craving "local" Hawaiian food, I will come to Grindz 2 Da Max. For context, when I say…read morelocal, I'm thinking of the Hawaiian plate lunch style food where you get two scoops of rice, macaroni salad, and your choice of protein. Grindz 2 Da Max has these plate lunches plus some other local foods like spam musubi, andagi (Okinawan deep fried donut), and Nomz candy. While I love their meat jun (thin beef slices coated in egg wash and pan-fried to a golden color),my favorite item to get is their loco moco. The basics of a local moco is a hamburger patty placed on top of a bed of rice, which is then covered by brown gravy and topped off with a fried egg. While basic in concept, it tastes so good together. What makes Grindz 2 Da Max's special, in my opinion, is the sauce - they use a gravy that is richer and more flavorful than the average brown sauce. It's so good. I also like getting their fried noodles. While simple, it's a flavor that reminds me of Hawaii, especially with it being topped with tons of pink kamaboko and green onions. The other item I love is their fries. It's the skinny cut fries and I get the extra crispy. To bring it back to little kid days, I will get a side order of teriyaki sauce to dip them in. While the food is great and the ambiance of the restaurant is very reminiscent of Hawaii, I give them 4 stars because the speed of service can be slow especially during rush hours.
