I truly needed a comforting, hot bowl of "Angry Zuko Ramen" last Sunday, so I ordered online for pickup. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The broth was lukewarm, the bowl wasn't filled the way it usually is, and the flavor tasted watered down. It didn't feel like the quality I've had here before. What made it worse was the customer service afterward. I called multiple times to speak with a manager and resolve the issue, but I was not able to reach anyone or get a call back. When customers are reaching out calmly about a legitimate problem, basic professionalism matters. At this point, I am requesting a refund for my order. I will not be returning to this location due to the food quality and how the issue was handled. I ordered the nachos and it came with wonton chips, crab surimi, spicy tuna, salmon and sriracha mayo. The best combo. My cousins and I crushed my order in like 5 minutes. We also crushed the order of fries. They ordered poke bowls and left with leftovers - it was a nice portion and good protein to carbs ratio. The sushi burrito looked amazing but I didn't try it. Unfortunately, this place seems to have really gone down hill. We used to really enjoy it, but these last couple of times has been issues. Today, my daughters build your own bowl was not made how it was ordered so had to take it back up and there was not really any acknowledgment or apology. I eat here pretty often and it's been consistent every time. The ramen is really good, I guess best ramen in Sugar Land for me. The broth has a lot of flavor, noodles are cooked right, and the pork is always tender. It comes out hot and filling. I've also had the burrito a few times and it's solid. Always fresh fish, good balance of rice and toppings, and it doesn't fall apart halfway through. Poke bowls have been good too with decent portions. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here! I must admit that I was intrigued by the idea of a sushi "donut" so I had to try it! They were really accomodating and let me try one that had both spicy tuna and salmon. They're good about special requests. It's really not enough food for an actual dish though, so you will need to order something else. I ordered the brussel sprouts. They were delicious, however, a bit heavy on the sauce. If I order this in the future, I will order it lightly sauced. They have a "secret" menu that you can inquire about as well. One unique thing is that they also have a cooked chicken bowl, which is something you don't see very often at poke places! Loved the ambiance and the vibe of the place as well. Its super colorful and vibrant. The staff is really friendly and there were only a few people there so it was very quiet. And the Spicy Tuna Nachos: Spicy tuna, avocado, wonton nacho, eel sauce, spicy mayo, green onions. Both were incredibly flavorful. Suuuuuuper filling. Just delicious. The fish was EXTREMELY fresh and the ingredients all were placed well and mixed excellently together. I could only eat the nachos first for an early lunch... and then I ate the Poke bowl at night for dinner. "Creative" & "service" were terms I read in many reviews but I would say "wonderfully creative" & "exceptionally great service". Spicy Sushi Tuna Donut, sushi Corndog, spicy Korean wings. The sushi donut was cool looking and basically a normal sushi roll in a circle. Falls apart after 1st bite. But every bite is delicious so it works. This place opened my eyes to so many new sushi concepts, and the service was top notch! Since it was my first time there, I relied on some recommendations from the staff in customizing my orders, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the crabmeat donut, custom burrito roll, and a sushi burger paired with Tokyo fries. All the items were a flavor burst in my mouth! Everything was crisp and fresh. The items were also served swiftly and with the utmost care. The place overall was also very clean and vibrant. There is outdoor seating available with a lakefront view, which I would definitely recommend on a good weather day with a sunset watch. Great service, cozy and clean restaurant and the best portions in the area! Love that they do happy hour deals and the ingredients always taste fresh. You can build your own bowl but it ends up being a little pricey, so I always get the super poke and just make adjustments. I wish you could do this in the door dash app as I order delivery for lunch when I'm at work, but they don't allow for additional instructions and the selections are set up a little strange (max number of things you can remove, etc). read more

My friends wanted to try this place. I visited on an early Saturday evening. The concept sounded fantastic, I am a lover of Poke and who doesn't love the wonderfulness of Ramen? Service- let's start with good part first. You order in the front pass the hallway near there kitchen, and then get seated in the back. Service was great. Lots of staff. The server that rang us up was warm and friendly, food came out super quick. Place was clean. Food- I wanted to try the Poke donut, but sadly didn't. I figured on a cold day, I wanted to enjoy the Ramen. I was torn between the Kimchi Ramen and Angry Zuko. I went with the angry Zuko. The broth which is the heart and soul of Ramen was completely bland. It was hot (temperature and heat value) water, nice noodles texture, plus veggies and meat. After about 1/3 of it in, I just decided to get a container so I could doctor it up at home instead as to-go. Hopefully was just a one-off thing? The first two words that come to mind after going to Poke Burri for the first time are service and creative. First of all the service is incredible. Matthew the person up front, greeted me very gregariously as soon as I entered and immediately started offering advice and feedback on the menu. I took my time and he was very patient and polite. I didn't really know what to expect walking in and I was surprised at how many options are available. I am always ready to try something new and explore different possibilities, so when I saw the secret menu, I was all in. I really like poke and ramen but I'm not sure I can find a sushi corndog or donut anywhere else, so that's what I ordered. Sushi Corndog, Tofu Avocado Donut, Spicy Kimchi Ramen and a Thai Tea to go. While I waited, I ordered a happy hour serving of Tokyo Fries. I enjoyed the fries a lot. I don't need a lot of convincing to enjoy fries in the first place but these fries were seasoned well, crispy and the sauce on them tasted great. On a side note, this may be the first time I used chopsticks to eat fries instead of my hands but it' all good. I ate the donut first and although I enjoyed it, I would have liked a little more tofu and avocado to balance out all the rice. The beets, ginger miso and sweet chili peanut sauce all blended well together, complimented with sesame seeds and tempura flakes for a little crunch. Not bad at all. I'd like to try another donut. The corn dog was a lot bigger than I imagined. It's a very creative concept. The crabmeat was filling and I enjoyed the outer breading as well. A lot of rice, which is to be expected. I thought the sauce on it was a bit sweet for my tastebuds but not overwhelmingly so. I still ate the whole thing! The Spicy Kimchi Ramen was not bad. I like bold flavors and while this was not the boldest flavored broth I've ever had it was not bland or tasteless either. I'd say it was mid on the verge of being better with a bit bolder flavor. Lastly, the Thai Tea was average. It wasn't bad at all but I'm accustomed to a very strong Thai Tea and this one felt a bit light in my opinion. I'm always on the side of bolder flavor and less sweetness in any drink I get, so maybe it's just my taste. Still it was a good Thai Tea overall. The ambiance is cool to me. It was not busy at all, which doesn't bother me. I like the design of the building and layout of the seating. The back patio is nice. By the way, they do serve alcohol, so I can see grabbing a quick snack and beverage and posting up at the bar or on the patio for a casual meetup or friendly outing. I really like the vibe here and the creativity of the space as well as the food. Awesome to see someone taking a chance on being creative instead of just going with the safe and predictable approach. Sugarland doesn't have a lot of option for poke, so I was super happy this place opened. The place is cozy. Service was great. Food was soso, I wish it was more custom. As another reviewer stated, there were eel sauce and spicy mayo as the only option so everything kinda tasted similarly. Didn't get to finish our bowls or burrito as everything was kind of repetitive and sauces were all sweet and not spicy. Pricing on the expensive side for poke in general. I would definitely give this place another try once more. Like the concept overall. Super poke bowl 2/5 I wasn't a fan of this as the eel sauce drenched the fish and with the spicy mayo it was too sweet for me. I love the incorporating of the beets as it's healthy but with the crab salad, seaweed salad, and all the sweet sauce, this poke bowl was like a dessert bowl. I couldn't finish. Salmon poke bowl 3/5 For this I placed the sauces on the side, which really helped with the sweetness. With no other sauces option it was just okay. I think if there were more savory sauces to compliment this and fried onions or green onions it would spice this up. Spicy Tuna nachos 3/5 I placed the spicy mayo on the side to try with and without the sauce. The spicy tuna was not spicy at all. It was very bland. The spicy mayo was also just mayo and not spicy. Altogether it was a light dish. The crisp of the chip was nice and the avocados were fresh. Just wished there were more flavor here Gyoza 5/5 Can't go wrong with these. Fried nicely. Flavor was good. Dragon fruit lemonade 5/5 We enjoyed this. Good level of sweetness. Matcha lemonade 3/5 I liked it but my husband wasn't a fan. I did wish there were more matcha peeking through it. Love the concept though. Ramen 3/5 It was okay. Broth was creamy but was missing something. The pork was soft. The chili I asked for on the side was just red food coloring. It even has a vegan option since you can get KALE ramen noodles as well! Many come here for the kitchy items like sushi donuts but this place is more than that. It is good food, and service with a smile, in the heart of Sugar Land, with staff that is helpful and friendly. The owners are also really great and will answer any questions you have. On top of that the establishment is clean and there is plenty of parking. Great place to spend with friends, family, or just by yourself if you want to get away and eat solo in the back patio. I ordered online for pickup. I got the ginger miso salad, fresh salmon poke bowl, and earl grey black milk tea. The salad wasn't anything super special honestly. The poke was pretty decent except it came out to about $16, which for the portion size, I don't think is as great compared to some other poke places I've been to. However I will note that the $16 is the price when ordering online, so I'm not sure if it may be cheaper to order in person. The star of my meal was honestly the milk tea. I feel like milk tea at non-boba-specific places can be pretty hit or miss, but I really like their milk tea as it's sweet and creamy without being too sweet. The person prepping the food is UNSANITARY. As soon a I walked into the establishment I saw him on his phone wearing gloves. He put his phone away in pocket and went back to prepping food with the SAME gloves. He continued wearing the same gloves throughout the kitchen area. I kindly asked him to change his gloves before prepping my food and he stated already prepared my food and he changed gloves (lie). I asked to speak to a manager and she of course was not there. I'm giving 3 stars because the customer service was nice. Unfortunately, for me the food was just OK. I only had the ramen, sushi donut, and gyoza. Ramen was just OK. Sushi donut uses sticky rice instead of sushi rice so I wasn't a fan. Gyoza was from frozen, not homemade. I didn't have the poke since it's not made in a customize your own style like most poke places. I think other people should try it, but not for me. read more

I've been to Pokeburri several times in the last few months. I would rate this place 8 s/10 for the halal ramen, Korean chicken wings, and poke bowls. The ambiance of the place is also immaculate and pretty much everything I have tried from here has been good. Also just FYI, only the chicken is halal. ------------ In this picture is a time I went to get ramen while it was raining. The overall experience was a 10/10 but the ramen was a 7/10. Mostly because the chicken was very over cooked and flavorless. The broth itself was very flavorful after putting in the spice paste. I've also had the Korean fried chicken wings, which I think are a 9/10. When they're fresh and crispy the flavor is great, although they are pretty heavy. The sushi pizza was interesting concept - just nice for pictures honestly. Overall it was an OK experience. The price point was just a little high for me for this type of food. You can customize the poke bowls however you like but it's cheaper to buy the bowls already made and sub out the ones you don't like. Various amount of other food too if not poke. They got dessert and sweet drinks as well. Very spacious, and there's also outdoor seating that oversees the lake which is nice if you bring a big group of people (you can see the other restaurants back patio too). They have some tables inside as well as bar seating where they offer beer, wine and sake. There are several poke bowl and burrito options as well as ramen and some fun extras. The Sugar Land Special bowl and fried brussel sprouts were both amazing and the service was fast (order at the counter and they deliver it to your table) and friendly.
