My favorite thing here is the sea salt chocolate chip cookie! It's just the right amount of chocolate paired with a little bit of savory salt so delicious!! I also think the price isn't all that crazy given it's a pretty large cookie. Highlights: The ice cream is super delicious here and I think it's just the right texture. The triple shot espresso is my favorite. Aside from the ice cream, they also have lots of other treats that look great and candy throwbacks as well. It's thin and crispy, not your typical waffle cones. They have a small ice cream section with about 10-14 flavors. Most were typical but I was intrigued by the Hot Cocoa flavor that had "snap, pop.." and whatever. They gave out samples so I asked for one of that and knew it was the flavor to get! It was good. My fiancé got the strawberry ice cream and that was creamy and delicious! We also bought a huge snickerdoodle and a lemon bar. The lemon bar is tangy and sweet! The perimeter walls are stacked with classic candies ... enough to give you cavities just looking at them. LOL! Then, there's a case filled with all sorts of homemade baked goods from cookies to bars to pies. The stars of the show are the ice cream flavors (about a dozen or so) to cool you cool on hot Arizona days. Oh, and if you're into catching the sun set, there's plenty of outdoor seating. To be fair, we didn't have the ice cream which seems to be a main feature of Sweet Provisions. There are several different concepts happening at once when you walk through the door: old fashioned candy store with things like Mr. Goodbar for sale. The ice cream selections. The baked goods like pies, cakes, and cookies which were our focus. Having just dined at Grassroots Kitchen next door, we saw that their desserts were provided by Sweet Provisions (same owner). The key lime pie that was on the menu at Grassroots was not available when we visited Sweet Provisions. We ended taking a few things to go: salted caramel chocolate cookies, coconut pie, peanut butter pie, and a few other things. Honestly? They tasted like they were from a school bake sale. Nothing dazzled, most underwhelmed. For a desserts-only establishment, we were disappointed. Why come here? I would say when you need to find hard-to-stock candies or want to give a child the experience of the old school candy store. Have had so many great things from Sweet Provisions but tonight was NOT it. The strawberry ice cream was over churned and had too many bit of butter in the scoop. The case was empty but I guess they had some cakes in the back so asked for carrot cake. The frosting was not cream cheese and the cake tasted old and not at all like carrot cake.
