We got the chicken lo mein, beef satay, hot and sour soup, egg rolls, lettuce wraps, general tso's chicken, and crab rangoon. Everything was outstanding and still so hot when we got home!!! My friend and I stopped here for the first time while on our way to the Cape. Our dinner was absolutely delicious and the staff were really kind and attentive as well. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. The menu has a lot of variety of dishes to choose from and it ranges from Thai, Cambodian, and Japanese cuisine. What a disappointment! This place is so handy. I gave it two stars because the ingredients seemed good quality. The beef was not tough. The Shrimp was good sized. Wings good sized with a good lemon grass sauce, but that dish is too messy for an app. The pad Thai was large, bland, dry and had one very tiny piece of lime. Mongolian beef was nice beef with lots of snow peas, but still tasteless and dry. Maybe they don't use enough sauce because their containers are not tight. There is a hinge section which doesn't seal. My husband wants to try it again. I think because it's so close. I don't feel that way now. Physically not much changed. read more

Tried Sweet Rice for the first time. Very impressed with the luncheon specials. I had the delicious Lemon Grass Pork. Tons of fresh veggies and pork in a light coconut cream curry sauce. It came with freshly cooked vegetable fried rice and 1 chicken wing (1 drum, 1 flat). $10. The decor was simple but comfortable. Lighting good. Clean. The service was attentive and friendly. My only gripe is charging $2.50 for a mug of tea. Tea is always free at Chinese restaurants!!! I will be back soon, and I hear Sushi is coming!! read more

This new place just opened and I wanted to check it out so see what It was about. The place itself was nice and clean and staff were friendly. Food was great as well. It was fresh and full of flavor. Authentic southeast Asian food is very hard to come by and this was the best. Not sure why there someone reviewed them so low. Those who are use to cafeteria Chinese food and uneducated will not understand the quality of real fresh cuisines. I personally enjoyed the food and my time there. Definitely a must try! read more

I think this is the only Chinese Restaurant in Falmouth. Their food is okay, flavor is more on salty and spicy side. Next time you order, make sure to mention to make the dish not too salty. It is pricey too. read more

I enjoyed dining solo tonight at Sweet Rice (167 Teaticket Hwy East, Falmouth). I went there to try a specific dish which I knew my wife would probably not wish to share with me--the beef stew with carrots, beef brisket, beef tripe (yes, tripe, it's a favorite of mine) and thin rice noodles. My wife is not a fan of tripe . . . her loss. We've dined at Sweet Rice and done take out from them many times over the last few years and everything has always been delicious. It is what I would call a Pan-Asian restaurant, with a strong emphasis of Southeast Asian cuisines, easily the best one of these on the Upper Cape and probably the best on the entirely of the Cape. I sat at the bar, ordered a cocktail and the three dishes I wanted to enjoy. My meal started with an order of yellowtail sashimi was was fresh and tasty; this was followed by an order of Lot Rolls (a mixture of pork and taro in deep fried rolls with a mild chili dipping sauce) which I shared with the couple sitting next to me so they could sample something different (they liked it enough to order it as part of their take-out order). Then the beef stew arrived. The reason I was there. I expected it to have the same flavor profile as Vietnamese Pho (and I've had many a bowl of Pho with brisket and trip at Pho Houses living for a long time in Southern California). It was not Pho, it was different. The soup was rich and flavorful, but it also had a sweetness which was probably attributable to all of the carrots in the dish. The brisket and the tripe were soft and had well absorbed the flavor of the broth (though I wish it had contained even more morsels of tripe). When I asked about the origins of the dish I was told it was Cambodian. Delicious. My wife and I, along with other guests, have sampled many things from their menu--all three duck dishes (our favorite is the roast duck with the home-made hoisin sauce which is just exquisite), braised eggplant, stir-fried bok choy, various items off of their sushi menu (though it is interesting that they do not have saba on the sushi menu), and almost all of the appetizers (while there are some standards on the menu here (e.g., pork rism chicken wins and the like), there are also some really unique offerings, such as the Lot Rolls). Everything at Sweet Rice has been wonderful. This is a family business, virtually everyone working there is a member of the extended family, including the wait persons who are attentive, helpful and expeditious in the presentation of your order. I highly recommend Sweet Rice, especially for those who have tired of the standard New England Chinese food available as so many well known places across the Cape. For some really good Asian food, this is the place. So many dishes to choose, from many places, Pad Thai, Singapore Noodles, Deep Fried Duck. Very large portions (you'll have lunch the next day). Have had takeout in the past and I would rate it as acceptable. But today it was beyond bad. Bee Bong noodles were a gelatinous mess. Calamari were like eating cardboard. We had a wonderful experience with Sweet Rice. We had two large sushi orders for 10 people. They were quick, friendly, efficient and the most important part the sushi/shashimi itself was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented while being reasonably priced! I am traveling from VA and my dad found this spot online. The 6 of us got a variety of foods including maki, udon, and sesame chicken. Everything was of high quality and very delicious. I got the udon noodles with chicken and it was soooooo good. Our server was amazing and worked hard to make sure we were satisfied . 10/10 would come again. read more

We got takeout last night and was very impressed by the quantity and quality of the food. My husbands South Beach was full of baby bok choy and veggies- he was very happy. Sweet Rice was an unexpected treat. Their menu is well designed, lots of noodle dishes and lots of veggie/meat dishes with varied Southeast Asian sauces. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and loved it. The portion was large and the dish was perfectly balanced... not sweet as Thai food often is in the US. We also ordered the udon noodles with pork and tofu and that was delicious also. Each was $13.95. This restaurant is a great addition to the Asian choices in and around Falmouth. It's a little inconspicuous building with a well lit sign saying Sweet Rice. The name intrigued me so my mother and I popped in for lunch. When you walk in you see a small bar straight ahead and a sushi station to your right and the dining room to your left. The place is extremely clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean also. Our server Choung was friendly and very accommodating. I got a dish called bee bong and it was absolutely scrumptious. My mum got the lunch special and it was generous amount of food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Not impressed! I got the crab ragoon & the chicken satay. The chicken was soooo over cooked and had a bitter sauce over it, but no seasoning. The crab ragoon was cold with none of the ingredients that is listed on the menu! They did however use a good quality cream cheese and lots of sugar (saw no crab)... For $22.00 + a $2.00 tip! First time trying Sweet Rice. Very impressed. My wife and I shared one dish of Home Style Singapore Noodles and it was very good! It was very light and not drenched in soy sauce. Appetizers were Crab Rangoon and Pork dumplings. Highly recommend them both. Serving size was very large. We will definitely get two meals each! read more
