Buyer beware! As a veteran of 40 years in the restaurant industry, I would only leave a negative review in extreme circumstances. I am accustomed to customers trying to get something for nothing. Example eating all of their meal and bringing the last bite up and demanding a refund. Frustrating, "But the Customer is always right". In my visit this evening I had the opportunity to speak to the owner over the phone and be told that I was wrong! That this establishment had won numerous awards for their Key Lime Pie! Really? I simply brought my pie to the counter ( only one bite taken) and asked to substitute it for another product or a refund since it wasn't to my liking (standards) This became an ordeal. "We cannot give you a substitute or a refund! You will have to come back tomorrow when the manager is here". Seriously? No one on staff can satisfy the guest? A simple solution, yet a serious business problem. My advice....... avoid the place. Definitely not worth the hassle. read more

Did a search for key lime shakes in the keys and found this. Really cute and homey shop. Nice seating area. They also have many gluten free options. They make the ice cream into a shake for you. I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to ice cream. My hometown has some of the best in house made ice cream in the state. We came in here to give theirs a try but we were disappointed when we saw they used Breyers. The sundaes were decent but definitely nothing to sing on the rooftops about. The line was out the door on a Thursday night and I commend the staff for politely telling uneducated customers that they must leave their mask on and not eat in line. Thank you! It was recommended by a friend and was our first time visiting. When we walked in we thought it was a really cute place. We saw people at the cash register so we stood in line. I walked over to look at the ice cream flavors while a young employee was cleaning the glass. When we were next up at the register the young lady asked my husband "you want something "? He said we wanted to order icecream. She then said we had to do that over in front of the ice-cream(2steps to our left). There's no signs to say where you order and mind you I was standing in front of the icecream while an employee was there and never asked if I wanted to order. There were three young employees there and none asked to help us. I ordered the guava cheesecake which had ice crystals in it. The ice cream was flavorful but the crystals took the enjoyment out of eating it. Ice cream is supposed to be creamy! So rating this 2 stars 1st due to lack of hospitality and 2nd ice crystals in the ice cream! read more

We go here every year while visiting during lobster season. We all were extremely disappointed with the staff and their lack of friendliness or enthusiasm. We went here on the way back from key west. The shop had a variety of treats. We wanted to try a little bit of everything. We tried the cupcake it was ok. The cookies were also ok. We weren't impressed with the Red Velvet - the icing was fluffy vs creamy and lacked a strong cream cheese texture/flavor. The Key Lime Pie was realllly good, too!
