So we were on our way to a frozen yogurt spot and saw gelato, in we go, because gelato beats frozen yogurt any day. The staff was chill and cool, like they actually enjoyed their job. We settled, and yes, I mean settled because everything we sampled was great. We got the butter pecan and banana. Fantastic, we will be going back for some actual candy. This is going to be short and SWEET! Every time I'm in town I stop by here with the family to pick out a dessert. There's so much to choose from that everyone can find something sweet to eat. Candy, ice cream, sugar free etc it's all here. I got dark chocolate pretzel rod and it was definitely tastier than the store bought stuff. Lemoncello sorbet YUM! Stop off to pick up my Yelp Elite box of goodies. I browsed and couldn't decide on anything. Everything looked wonderfully delicious. I finally made my way to the back and came upon a sorbet extravaganza. My eyes immediately went to the lemoncello and let me tell you it was amazing. Sweet people, sweet smells, and sweet treats!!! WOW, fantastically delightful service, clear social distancing circles to stand in the cue and plenty of folks peeking while walking by. Boo baskets are a great fall treat to pick up from here! It's great because they're pre packaged so you can be in and out quickly. All of the employees were very nice and wearing masks, and they had the door open for extra air flow which was great! My box had a toffee apple, fudge, mountain bark, chocolate covered pretzels, and a few taffy pieces. Can't wait to try! read more

I've lived in Flagstaff for 14 years, and the Sweet Shoppe is somewhere we ALWAYS stop by after dinner for dessert, or anytime we're downtown. The adorable shop has a big window in the front where you can see all of the delicious candy apples. When you go in, you're welcomed by the smell of delicious chocolate and caramel, and it's so warm and inviting. My favorite, though, is the gelato. They usually have this dark chocolate flavor that is rich, deep, and to die for. When I went in today, the staff were thoroughly cleaning the display cases from top to bottom, and everybody had masks on. It felt like a clean, safe place to make a purchase for a food item. Also, the staff is so friendly! You can't find a better place in Flagstaff for delicious homemade treats. read more

Fudge is known here in Flagstaff. However, I did not order that. I was curious about the gelato options. Decided on prickly pear gelato ($3.75). So it's not creamy but rather like shaved ice. It was kind of like a dragon fruit taste. It would be good on a hot summer day. This place had a lot of sweet varieties (chocolate, candy, gelato, fudge). We just had to go on Valentines Day Forget mystery chocolate in a box, when you cans hand pick to your heats delight. I love sweets and the selection was astonishing. Stumbled across this gem on an impromptu trip to Flagstaff. I grew up with homemade fudge to die for and other than my grandmother & mother's fudge and that found at Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA (if you know you know) this place has amazing fudge and so worth the calories read more

You won't regret dropping by the sweet shoppe. The smell alone is worth it. A window full of caramel apples and a good assertment of delicious cool gelatos, along with assorted chocolates and brittles at reasonable prices. The staff was super patient and friendly. An incredible stop in the heart of downtown Flagstaff! The employees were very inviting and eager to introducers to all that the store offers. We also walked in at a perfect time to try some freshly made sea salt caramel. It's incredible! We tried an M&M Caramel Candy Apple and it was AMAZING. The Cactus Pear Sorbet was also incredible. It smelled amazing so we went in. I could see that some of the chocolate in the case was blooming and that should have been my clue to walk out the door but we really wanted to try the gelato. It was no different than regular ice cream, it was the typical sweet American style ice cream and not real gelato, very disappointed. I bought several chocolates and for 40.00 for gelato/chocolate, had expected more. The chocolate was also very sweet and had an off flavor; especially the orange sticks, it tasted like toothpaste mixed with orange. read more

Tons of little things to get! Filled with all old and new items. Toys, great for souvenirs, treats, trinkets! It is pricey so come spending money. It's a tight squeeze in the store so be careful with extra things like strollers and walkers. Absolutely loved seeing all the old toys and candies. read more

Well, been a while since we've been this way but stopped in and it's still a wonderful candy land. It's a solid staple for goodness every time. Loaded on on a full batch of goodness and made a special request if it was possible to have a pound of chocolate covered bacon ready in the early morning a couple days later and they had me covered no issues. My first time trying a caramel apple and it was delicious! I tried the apple pie one that was recommended by the staff. The caramel was soft enough to enjoy without it dripping everywhere and it is dipped in white chocolate and cinnamon crumble. I usually hate green apples but I fully enjoyed this treat. It really did taste like an apple pie. They also cut it up for you so you can tear pieces off and enjoy easier. read more

Fast service. Excellent Gelato! $6 for a large that fit 3 different flavors. I got the toasted coconut almond fudge, makhani island fudge, and profiterole (had an actual profiterole piece in it!) they are all soooo yummy! The serving size it a bit small for the cup for the price. I also got a small box of cactus candy, jalapeño jelly, & 2 pieces of fudge pumpkin praline & dark sea salt caramel for $43. The shop is cute in downtown Flagstaff. The service was friendly. No bathrooms. It is on the expensive side. read more

Another five years of coming into the Sweet Shoppe. It has been a tradition to pick up some homemade candy here for our daughters at Halloween. COVID has changed many of our behaviors, but this is one it will not. Amazing Carmel/Candy apples are a must, and found some new favorites this year. The Sweet Shoppe & Nut House was opened in downtown Flagstaff, Arizona to fill a niche in the historic downtown area. In 2015 we changed our name to the Sweet Shoppe Candy Store to better reflect the true entity we had become. Specializing in homemade artisan candies is our thing. Both tourist and locals enjoy the old fashion candy store with a modern twist! Just celebrating our 6th year anniversary, the store is a great place to stop in for a favorite sweet! Serving 20 flavors of delicious gelato, at least 20 different flavors of yummy homemade fudge, 15 plus different caramel apples and 11 feet of artisan chocolates made right in front of the customer!

Good quality dark chocolate exterior and flavorful fillings, though I did find some of the fillings a bit salty and wished there were more chocolate interior options rather than all "chocolate outside, something else inside." Some of the flavors were a bit too, uh, Sedona out-there for me, but that's just my personal taste, so I can't hold that against them. Why not 5 stars? Well, they're not in the same tier as the all-timers of fancy chocolates, like LA Burdick in Boston or the like, despite being priced about as high. But if you want fancy handmade chocolates, it's a great option to have in town.

He gave me and my sister the run down of each section. He went over the different types of olive oils and made sure we knew to sample those we wanted to try. I sampled several different flavors, but I made a purchase of the Harissa olive oil since I was completely out of the one I had from a different company. At the time of my visit there was only one other person browsing around. Then after my sister and I arrived, a few more people came it. It was quiet with low music playing in the background. We popped in on a Monday morning hoping to score some great grub and we certainly found some! Cubano ($20.95) - Starting with the bread - it's really fluffy, not toasted or pressed as with usual cubanos. Unfortunately, it's probably a little too light for the sandwich because some parts get mushy from being soaked in all the dijonnaise. The dijonnaise is very sweet, creamy with a mustardy zing. I think they add a bit too much, making the sandwich more fatty and messy to eat than I like (not to mention what I stated before about it soaking into the bread). The meat is fantastic. Both porchetta and ham are griddled on the flat top, giving them a developed and concentrated edge. The ham is to the point of being like country ham, while the porchetta still has great seasoned porky flavor. I believe they griddle the swiss cheese alongside the meat. It melts and crisps up into a cheese skirt, adding a fantastic texture to the sandwich. There's a lot of crinkle cut pickles underneath the meat, but it's not enough acid to cut through all that fat. Sandwiches come with a side of house chips. They are fried until a darker golden brown color, but aren't burnt. This gives a great kettle chip-like crunch. Even with different sized chips, they are very evenly fried with all chips being the same texture. They are salted the perfect amount. (4/5) Aleppo Pepper Pastrami sub Tomato Soup ($22.75) - This place is famous for their pastrami, and I can tell the quality. It's cooked on the griddle until it develops crisp edges. It's fatty, but the fat is rendered so there are no chewy and leathery parts. The meat is extremely tender and thinly sliced. It's honestly almost like bacon in texture, but the taste is completely different, with the exterior spices and pepper making a huge impact along with the rich concentrated meatiness inside. The bread is a nice toasted sourdough, not strongly sour in flavor, but definitely noticeable. The bottom slice is slathered with plenty of nopales studded cream cheese. It's added in a large amount and is an extremely creamy and fatty substance yet somehow doesn't overwhelm the sandwich. It's warm but not melty. The nopales are clearly there but I didn't find it to contribute much. The pastrami is layered on top of that followed by a ton of sweet brown caramelized onions that are very tender. An entire green chile, roasted and super smoky, is above that. Finally, aleppo mustard is spread on the top slice of bread. Between the green chile and the aleppo, there's a slight warmth that tinges the sandwich. It's nothing too spicy. Instead of chips, we opted to sub the Tomato Soup (no fee). It's very homestyle, full of tomato richness in a thick blend. It has a strong tangy tomato essence. There's basil oil drizzled on top for a boost of freshness. The soup is unfortunately quite a bit too acidic for my tastes, but that's only by itself! While very acidic, the soup is actually great as a balance to the sandwich (along with the pickle of course) since there's so much richness and fat coming in between the bread. (5/5) Proper Meats + Provisions definitely serves some great sandwiches. We were considering visiting again for our 2 full days in Flagstaff, but weren't able to make it because they close so early at 6! Don't think I'd personally come back, but they have decent reviews so maybe they are more known for other items on their menu.

When we first walked in, we immediately noticed how warm it was and how popular of a coffee shop it was! There is also a bar and a larger area in the back with a stage, so lots of seating is available for studying, catching up with a friend, or watching a live show. I got the Campfire, which was very heavy with chocolate flavor. I honestly could not taste any graham or marshmallow flavor, but it definitely was a stronger and sweeter coffee than the Dark Sky, which is what my friend got. The Dark Sky had very subtle mint flavor, and as acid mint lovers, we wish there would have been more! Overall, a really great cafe that I would frequent again, especially when shopping or walking around downtown.

Both Cashier and Baristas were very friendly and had great memory of the friend(s) who sent us to Lund, so it was great to connect over mutual friends. They are also hitting their 5-year anniversary (celebrating June 27th + 28th!) Rare to find coffee shops that offer discounts, and that make sure to ask, but we were asked if we were students, teachers, or military which was nice. I tried their Flew From Samoa Latte and it was really tasty! 10/10 would recommend.

Maybe they were still new and working things out? I came back later with my boyfriend and ordered the same drink, while he got a latte and a pastry. This time, the coffee exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the cappuccino and have been back several times since. On one visit with my girlfriends, they happened to have a coffee drink named "Liv," which gave us a good laugh. Another thing I appreciate is that they offer discounts for teachers andwhich was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it's a cozy coffee shop with friendly staff, great coffee, and thoughtful perks for the community. I'm glad I gave it a second chance and will definitely be back.
