Oh my, where do I start? This location was awesome. We stopped by during early dinner time on Sunday. It was a bit busy but they seated us at a table quickly, a pkus. Next, I love the Wonton Happiness salad . These past few years I've had the salad that's been dry and have had to ask for more dressing/sauce but the flavor has been off. This location on Broadway mixed it well so that flavor was wondetful. Yummmmmm. I found more soup selections here that I could enjoy, meatless. LOL, I tried a Sriracha Udon one that tickled my tonsils . My guy even made a salad for himself because everything looked good here. Trust me, that is a miracle! My other half have been in town three days and we loved it here and will come back for sure! read more

You guys, it's back! Just the way you remember it! Service was excellent! Everything was on point except the fettuccine was super watery. Someone missed a step. But other than that, we were so satisfied. We seriously drove from San Diego for Sweet Tomatoes and were not the only ones. Definitely worth the drive and the heat. Just like the original restaurants, food was nearly identical and they had all of your favorite nostalgic foods. Service was great they were very well staffed whom were friendly. Ambiance is that of ur typical family restaurant, just happy chatting among customers and the occasional screaming child but was still worth it. Drove 2 hours to visit and it was defiantly worth the drive. read more

We were so excited for this. Before they closed we loved them. Today was so disappointing. Absolutely no meat, or mashed potatoes. Lots of soup but it's 108 degrees out, so no. Made the trip with my son's to Sweet Tomatoes. They were both upset when they all shut down. It's about a 2 hour trek from home, but they were happy to get there. The food was good, tasted like it did before. The service was good. The server (didn't serve anything) was efficient, but not very friendly. She came and grabbed dirty plates, but never asked how things were, etc. Not sure if this is a new way they serve the customer. ( Little or no interaction). The only negative was my son didn't enjoy the frozen soft serve. I'm guessing it might have needed more liquid. The mix was really thick and sweet, it lacked balance. Other than that, I will make a trek down again, not weekly, but definitely a day trip lunch/dinner. Hopefully they open some more closer to Chandler. read more

We started our Sweet Tomatoes experience in the parking lot waiting in line. We were told by the hostess that it was probably a 40 minute wait from where we were standing. We were ok with this because we haven't had Sweet Tomatoes since just before Covid and the closure of all locations. The line went quick and we were inside within 20 minutes. The set up is just the same as when they used to be open. A salad bar with two lanes chock full of fresh veggies, prepared salads (Joan's broccoli madness, Caesar Salad, Tuna Tarragon) and accoutrements (salad toppings, dressings etc). After getting to our seat, we were able to visit the hot food area where there was soups (highly recommend the Cream of mushroom- so many mushroom pieces!), baked potato bar, focaccia pizzas, and pastas. They also have dessert (chocolate lava cake and chocolate chip cookie bars) with a frozen ice cream machine. Very friendly employees throughout. So glad to see Sweet Tomatoes making a comeback!! (We used to frequent the Stone and River location, as this is much closer to our house. My wife and I were both excited to see one of their former bussers working here!) read more

Standing in line for 20 minutes. The fresh salad is great, pasta salads were not flavorful, cheese and macaroni was very runny. Soup was about the same as I remember. Place is about the same. Don't understand why people are in line and they had a good amount of empty tables. read more

Absolutely the worst food I have ever eaten. I was used to SoupPlantation in California and always enjoyed eating there. This place did not even come close to the same quality. So disappointed. They were out of many items and when asked they said they ran out and their truck comes in tomorrow. I will not return to this place. I really don't get the wait to get in here. read more

My family and I were in from out of town and were going to eat here. We had our ESA dog with us, and right as we were about to pay for the food, I'm not sure if it was the manager, but she was rude and shouted "before you pay, we can't allow your dog in here." Mind you, ESA dogs are considered service dogs, which they do allow. Never coming here again after being shouted at and embarrassed in front of the whole restaurant. read more

The food is great restaurant is clean but the outside temperature is 97 and they have inside set to 76 which is a huge difference and way to cold to enjoy your food. I asked for and received a refund because they would not change the ac to warmer. The customer service was fantastic. There was a greeter/door woman that I thought was nice. The romaine lettuce was kind of limp and dry but the toppings seemed fresh. The ranch dressing and croutons were surprisingly very tasty and really made the salad. The garden rotini at the salad bar and the macaroni and cheese were very bland but the four cheese pizza had a lot of flavor. Everything/everywhere seemed pretty clean and looked exciting to want to be there. Overall, i would probably only return if other people in my party wanted to go. read more

I really miss Sweet Tomatoes and when I learned about there being one location now in Tucson, I had to go. I flew from Las Vegas to Tucson just to have dinner here and then flew back. All of the food was the same as I remembered it almost five years ago. And the employees had the same friendly demeanor. The layout was identical to the former location that I always went to in Henderson, NV. It's great that they have so many healthy choices. The sugar-free chocolate mousse is a good alternative to the other dessert items for those watching their sugar intake. This really brought back memories. FINALLY got to visit Sweet Tomatoes and it was worth the wait. Waited one hour and twenty minutes (arrived at 6:05 and was seated at 7:25 on Friday evening, first week after reopening). Honestly the wait didn't feel that long. They have a great system going and have it running like clockwork. They only let a few people in at a time and the person at the door is communicating with people who are seating people at the end of the salad bar so they know exactly how many seats are available and how many people to let in. So they let a group in and once that group has cleared the bar they replenish all the food. Once you end the bar and pay you are escorted to a table. One of my biggest fears with the reopening was that with the crowds that big you'd just be standing there with a tray and no place to sit. Nope, they got you! The food options were just the same as before which made me so happy. One of my personal favorite was the tuna tarragon and I will say it tasted a little different but that could just be the fact that it's been 4 years since I had it. Was still good though. I have seen people on here say the soft serve had a grainy texture but that was not my experience. I found it delightful as always. The place was very clean and the staff was super friendly. They are working very hard to bring people the experiences they remember so please tip them! They deserve it. read more

This place has been our go to restaurant one or more times per week since they opened. The salads are fresh and the food is almost always great. The reason for the one star review is: My wife received a coupon from Sweet Tomatoes reward program for 50% off, but when we arrived , we were informed that they had mistakenly sent them out and that they would not honor the coupon. I get that mistakes happen, but the right thing to do would have been to honor the coupon they sent. For the cost of a salad, this company has lost us as customers permanently. It's sad that no one honors their word anymore. read more
