Wow! This is a hidden treasure. You would never guess from the outside, very plain storefront by Ross. It's an adorable coffeehouse-feel full bakery. The coffee was delightful. The displays of baked goods is gorgeous! It is clean, comfortable. Great place for a group of friends, Parent/Child dates, dates with my husband ... I was so impressed. I've lived where I live for 5 months and I just discovered this place near my home last week! I've been back 3 times already. I've had a mocha (very tasty) and at least 5 different types of treats, both sweet and savory. Can't wait to try something else. The hard part is deciding which one to try next! Clean, open and filled with beautiful and delicious pastries, cookies and cakes...it's heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth and paradise for those who simply like delicious treats. I have found very few bakeries who can actually turn out well made pastries and this place is no exception. I went here based on the excellent Yelp reviews so not sure if I got a poor sampling of their desserts but here goes: First, let me say the staff were smiling & friendly. 5 stars for their customer service. 1. Pavlova - Positives - It was beautiful and the berries were perfectly ripe & delicious. Negatives - The shell was an overbaked, dried & crumbling French meringue instead of the delicate crunchy outside & marshmallow'y inside of a Swiss meringue, so it completely & disappointedly crumbled apart. Instead of creme patissiere it was filled with firmly stabilized whipped cream. 2. Peach (or apricot?] Cake - Positives - Again, absolutely beautiful. Negatives - the custard layer was so overbaked it was literally rubbery & inedible. My son ate the entire cake except the custard layer. 3. Russian Honey Cake - Positives - beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The cake flavor was good. Subtle hints of an almost graham-cracker flavor as it should be and not too sweet. Negatives - dry, dry, dry. The cream filling in between was somehow dried out. It did not compliment the delicate thin layers of the cake and was exceptionally disappointing. Overall - the confections at Sweet Touch are absolutely stunning. Georgeous. Eye-candy galore! Unfortunately once bitten into they were a complete disappointment. ...that said and taking the excellent Yelp reviews in mind, I plan to return once more as I always want to give an establishment a second chance - I will update this review after that visit... read more

Delicious macarons! The raspberry is particularly yummy - perfect combination of sweet and tart with raspberries mixed into the creamy filling. Oh man I almost wish I hadn't tried this place! It's going to be so hard for me to not come here every day. The coffee is amazing- smooth and full of flavor. And the sweets are to *D I E F O R* I got the white fruit cake and it's my new favorite treat. Clean and looks nice inside, quiet environment. No AC kinda warm in here. Very decorative sweets little over priced. Petite Provence is better. This place is more family owned European food/cafe. I live nearly 40 minutes from Sweet Touch cafe, but it's worth the drive. The location is really great, just across the street from the Vancouver Mall. The customer service here is incredible. I walked in and asked if they make Earl Grey tea lattes and the barista took my request even though they technically don't have it on the menu. (It was one of the best ones I've tried.) They use quality syrups, Monin rather than Torani, and I can definitely taste the difference. The Three Cheese Pastry is delicious, reasonably priced, and freshly baked. The feel of the lounge in the cafe is great, with spaces for larger groups and couches to hang out on. They're still remodeling the place from what I've seen. They have a new oak bar table in front of the main window, which is absolutely beautiful. The logo is simple and beautiful (I added a photo of it below). Overall, one of the better cafes I've been to (and I've been to a lot!) Also, free and fast wifi is a plus. 5/5, no doubt about it. read more

So I made a second trip to a wonderful European bakery/cafe today. OMG. The latte was wonderful and artfully presented. The cookies I got were to to die for! Quiet environment, free wifi, and a convenient central location will make Sweet Touch frequent stop for me. All of the pastries are beautiful and delicious. These desserts are pleasing to the eyes, and it's always impossible to pick just one! My only complaint is the pastries & cakes have been stale every time I've come in :( For $7 per slice, it's disappointing to bite into a beautiful work of art only to be met with a texture more spongey than it is moist! The temperature control probably only matches certain types of goodies, and the rest are left to acclimate :/ Won't keep me from coming back, but certainly something to be aware of! read more

This spot is simply lovely, daytime and a cozy atmosphere in the evening. The pastries are fresh and made with love. I used to come here for espresso here and there when I was in the area. Not many places can actually make a good cup on the area besides River Maiden [but they're so much further from my house]. We visited today and had a lovely warm out of the oven cheese bread and I had a mocha a d my husband had a vanilla latte. Since I have been here last they appear to now have their own coffee branded packages when before they were using on my of my favorite from Cafe Umbria. I noticed my mocha was not as delicious as it once was. The espresso was not as strong and the mocha tasted more like a powder than a syrup which I am not sure if that changed or not but when you use powder I feel it changes the texture of the drink in your mouth. My husband's vanilla latte was really good so perhaps it was just my drink. I will continue to come here for the deli next door ad their pastries but I will just get a latte next time and make the mochas myself at home.
