We came here on a busy Sunday without a reservation. The host was very friendly, but she was quite cold with this weather. I hope she won't get sick or something. The wait time was about a half hour for 2 people, which was reasonable. The restaurant was very big and busy. We got seated by the wall. Our server was nice and attentive. The menu was online, and it was ready at the table. We both got regular hot coffee to start. Milk came without a request :) I got Berry Blast, and my partner got Ham Hash. I was so happy with my choice. The pancake was so yummy and sweet and had lots of berries. I haven't tried the Ham Hash, but it looked good. However, my partner said it had lots of ham than he was expecting. Well, I think it goes if you are a ham fan or not lol. Overall, our experience was great. What an adorable place. I love the huge windows and exposed brick. We ate here early on a Saturday so we were able to get a table without a reservation and got to sit facing the window. Our server was kind and sweet. She grabbed us coffee and took our order. We both got benedicts but I got the classic and my brother got the chicken and biscuit benedict. Everything was delicious. It took nearly 30 minutes for the server to take our order and then we watched him take three orders who were sat after us. When we brought this to another server's attention, we overheard him say "yea I know". No apology or acknowledgement. He never asked how our food was and took a while to bring back a clean fork so I could actually eat. By that point my eggs were cold and I was so hungry I just ate them. We will give it another go as the food was pretty good, but hopefuly we get another server. Oh! If you are a mimosa person, ask for a glass of champagne and have them add a splash of juice to it. Driving to this location was not hard to find. I was lucky enough to get free two hour parking across the street. As we went in to obtain a table it was a 5 minute wait. I used this time to use the restroom and our table was ready as we were exiting the restroom. Once we were seated, we were greeted with a very kind waitress. She suggested I try the pink thing (alcoholic drink), which I thought from the picture it would taste smoothie and thick but it doesn't. The drink it very smooth. The pumpkin waffle with nuts and cream cheese was delicious. It wasn't too thick and the edges were crispy. The chicken and biscuit was yummy too. It had egg and corn on it with a tasty gravy, the taste just compliments. The potatoes were addicting as they were crispy around the edges and soft in the middle and seasoned just right. I had the Belgian waffle with berries. The waffle was light and fluffy, the berries fresh and delicious, and that berry syrup... Sooooooo good! I was nervous when I walked in and saw the pompous minimalist gold, marble, grass wall decor (y'all know what I'm talking bout) but they turned out to be delicious. I love the chorizo hash skillet (FKA chilaquiles skillet), it's so good and flavorful and very good portion, I never finish it in one sitting. The cinnamon roll French toast (pictured) is so good. Awesome brunch for my mom's birthday today! Sweet Diner has the cutest interior and such a big menu I was overwhelmed with options! The Mediterranean Benedict was calling my name! The hollandaise sauce was so good and super savory on top of spinach, tomatoes, olives and poached eggs! The only thing was the eggs weren't super runny. They were jammy and still pretty good but was looking for a runnier egg. Nonetheless, the breakfast potatoes stole the show! They were so crispy and seasoned perfectly! If you go, make sure to get there early to secure a table because they don't take reservations. For a place of this size and popularity, I feel like being able to reserve a table would really help the organization. Gotta try out the drink menu next time because they looked so cute! After a 5-10 min wait at the table, We were greeted by an additional server who stated she was going to help with the assigned server (who had a 20+ table on the opposite side of the dining area we were). And sure no prob. The non-assigned server was prompt and helpful. Took our order and delivered our drinks no issue. It was brought by the assigned server - who didn't introduce herself just brought the food, asked if we needed anything - we asked for some ketchup that she never returned to deliver. We had to go up the counter to get some while she serviced our surrounding tables. I was also never offered additional refill on my water, which sat empty for most of my meal. The waitress never returned to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. We sat done and waiting for check and boxes to go for about 15/20 minutes until we had to flag down the waitress assist with our bill. She did ask if I wanted a coffee to go, which is nice I suppose. My partner had the chai tea which I had sips of. The birria omelette was okay. The bites of birria were good but outside of that it didn't have as much flavor as I would have hoped. The banana nut muffin was the highlight of the meal, great buttery texture and perfectly warm. Regarding the service, our waiter was very nice but we did have to ask him to refill our waters and I think he forgot to give us the ketchup we asked for so we had to ask twice. The ambiance is quite nice usually, but this time they had us seated in the back near the bathrooms which wasn't the most pleasant. Pancakes are 8" wide so one may be enough for light appetites, two more than enough for most. Chicken & biscuit eggs benedict was good although biscuits plus gravy plus fried chicken and runny eggs is too rich...there needs to be more contrast of ingredients with regards to texture and fattiness. I got the smoked salmon Benedict and strawberry/orange juice and my boyfriend got the meat lover skillet. There are several things to recommend about SweetDiner, not the least of which is the food. Traditional breakfast and brunch with a twist in many of them. The fresh fruit is incredible because it was November and it tasted like all of them had just come in from the garden. I would like to recommend a specific dish, but there's no reason to because everything we ordered was wonderful. Go with no hesitation and order what catches your eye. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and while there is a large dining area, which also houses a private area that can be closed off, there is also a second side dining area that can be more private. The smaller area also includes a full bar so you can have your mimosas or drinks of choice. Accessibility is important to me and I was kind of caught off guard when we arrived at the front door to see a sign stating if you need Accessibility help please call this number or come up to the front door, which is roughly 6 to 8 steps up. When I spoke with the manager, he explained that they have two lifts which he was kind enough to show me. It is a wonderful set up and not one that I had envisioned as possibly being going in the back door. These lifts are on both sides of the front door and it just requires a staff member to operate them, which was very easy. So accessibility is not an issue for anyone who needs a little extra help. The menu is extensive. The atmosphere is warm and the location right near public market. Makes it a very easy location to access. Street parking can be a challenge challenged so we parked at public market and walked the two blocks. That also allowed us time to wander down the streets at the local stores so the morning was ideal. read more

It's wonderfully spacious and the decor inside is really interesting in eclectic. The food choices they have are fantastic.
