Another day, another salad. Well not actually I love Sweetgreen salads. This is actually a location that I frequent often and I am never disappointed. It is always clean when I walk in and the staff are always friendly and greet me when I'm at the front door. Most of the times I place my order through the app and I will pick it up. I love having this type of convenience at my fingertips. But other times, when I'm not in a rush, I will go inside and order my salad. My favorite salad is the harvest salad. However there are so many other others that come in a close second place. There is nothing like having fresh produce each and every time you can never go wrong with any of their salads. read more

I ordered a harvest bowl on the app. My order was ready to be picked up on time. The bowl was not filled up all the way. I expected it to have way more greens since it's called "Sweetgreen". They bury the cup of sauce in the salad, which makes you have less greens. It looks nothing like the advertisement. For $16, I expected more for this price point. The taste was fine, but nothing spectacular. The chicken was a bit on the fatty side. I don't think I'll be trying Sweetgreen again when there are other options. The staff was fine. Stopped in today for lunch with a friend. It's very clean, the service is fast and they are so nice. We happen to walk in just minutes before noon, and we apparently just missed the crowd. My partner was under the weather and wanted some healthy ruffage for a boost. He's mostly a vegan and there aren't many options for him so he ordered a Shroomami bowl. I ordered in person instead of on the app. It was a late afternoon on a Saturday and was nearly empty. The person at the front was really friendly, and after a long week, it was nice to receive that energy. He informed me that they were out of cucumbers and offered me the chance to pick something else as a substitute. I requested their spicy broccoli (which I think they might charge a bit more for?!) and he immediately said "of course!" He put together a really hearty bowl. He offered to give me my dressing on the side as I wasn't sure how much to add, which ended up working out well. Looking for a healthy meal I stopped by the Lincoln park location while in Chicago. The location is huge with lots of tables to eat in. It was very clean. The staff was so friendly and asked if I had any questions while I looked at the menu. I opted for a kale Caesar salad with chicken to go. I asked for little dressing as I don't like my salads soggy and I wasn't gonna eat it for another hour. When I got back to my hotel I sat down to eat the salad and it was perfect. Crunchy not soggy. The chicken was not dry. The flavors were incredible. I've been to other locations that were lackluster. This location was perfection! read more

This is only my second time having sweet green. My first experience at a different location was absolutely amazing and I was convinced that it might become my new obsession. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed this time around. The flavors of each salad component/dressing didn't wow me. Uncooked rice, harden beef, missing item makes this order a big mistake. Plus, it just was not tasty at all.

I spotted this place in the parking lot and figured I'd give it a try. I think I had ordered it a few years ago via delivery but this was my first time in a store. I will say my first impression was not great mostly because the menu was not clear and I didn't feel that the options for toppings were well labeled. I decided to make my own bowl and found myself not really sure what all the options were and what would cost extra. Anyways the experience is basically like chipotle for salads. The line for fairly long and I felt that they were pretty efficient and well staffed, especially given covid. I found the food itself to be really good and fresh. I liked that I was able to get half rice and half spinach. I find that next time I might order double toppings of things like the tomatoes or chicken. Ample parking is a huge plus. Definitely will be back for a lunch break. read more

I love the concept of sweetgreen! Quick, easy and fresh. The North Avenue/Lincoln Park location is perfect for the neighborhood. Located near a main subway stop makes it an easy spot to grab an entree salad on your way home from work. The complimentary parking is perfect for nearby neighborhoods. Tons of windows and greenery are a perfect setting for salads right? Sunshine makes everything better. The storefront restaurant was clean and cheerful. I like that. There are a few al fresco cafe tables in a pretty shaded area. There is also a specific pick up area off to the side, which makes it super easy to order ahead. You can just run in and grab your food & go. There are quite a few signs and designated areas that can be a bit confusing. I went through the door that said inside ordering and followed the sign that said to proceed to the register to order. The guy sent me back to the other end of the counter but no one was there. The same guy came down and assisted me. Once we got started it was super easy to build my own bowl by choosing the ingredients I prefer. There are many greens to choose from and 4 toppings are included. You can always add more things if you would like. Then, there are protein options and salad dressing decisions. Finally, there's a bread choice to finish your creation. Bottom line: The salad isn't cheap but is an impressive size. The ingredients, dressing and bread are fresh and tasty. I had the salad tossed with the dressing and I think the guy had a heavy hand. I'm looking forward to my next visit but I will get my dressing on the side just to be safe. read more

This is the most inefficient sweetgreen I have ever been to. Please consult with other locations to learn how to quickly move through a lunch line. I was in line for over 20 minutes, and it was not short staffed. They just don't know how to work a line. Rule 1 - don't help 2 guests at the same time (for one person). Get an order, move them all the way down the line, and then go help another person. And if everyone does that, you'll be in a steady stream of helping guests. OR have people stationed along the way like some locations (and chipotle) does it. Really not that hard of a concept. Today there were 3 employees all on top of each other because the one who helped me decided to also help the person behind me at the same time. So I get an extra 5 minutes added to my wait time because I also have to wait for the stranger behind me. Not giving less stars because the food is still good. And I also try to be mindful about what the service industry is experiencing right now. But in this case, it's a simple fix to train employees how to efficiently work a line. I'll think twice about coming back here during any potential busy times. read more

This place has become my new go-to spot for a super healthy and flavorful lunch! Everything I've tried here so far has been delicious. Today I got the Crispy Rice Bowl (everything as is, with heavy dressing) and it's sooo yummy. SO fresh and all the flavors come together so perfectly. Sweetgreen is one of my favorite places to get a good salad. I'm a big fan of their guacamole greens salad. I love the combo of all the veggies and avocado with the crunch of the tortilla chips. The lime jalapeño vinaigrette makes the salad extra flavorful. I was looking forward to eating this salad today, but was disappointed with my Uber eats turn out of this order. The salad came without tortilla chips and Uber didn't prompt that the store was out of this item. Also the salad arrived poorly presented and toppled over so sweetgreen could have done a better job packaging. I checked back with the sweetgreen website and I guess the tortilla chips topping on Guac greens salad is out of stock and I wish I would have known that on Uber eats, so I could order a different one. I've also had the kale Caesar salad which is good. I'm curious about their warm bowls too. Also, salads used to be served with slice of bread, but that no longer seems to be an option? Restaurant has changed a few things from my past Better experiences but maybe I'll get something else next time. read more

This place is great! I've been to a few locations and this one is the best by far. Basically the physical service is setup like the salad/warm bowls version of Chipotle. From preset options (full salads or bowls) to build your own (always my choice!), you're able to choose from a variety of delicious choices as you move down the line. When we got there the line was a bit long, but that's understandable for a Sunday around lunchtime. However, (unlike other locations) we were able to find an open table pretty easily and the line was super efficient! The staff was friendly and everything was fresh. It was a really enjoyable lunch without breaking the bank. Also, I loved walking away from here feeling GOOD about what I just put in my body! Definitely will be back! read more

It's good, if they get your order right. I started out such a big fan of this place but over time I feel like they make mistakes and you're not getting what you pay for. My last two orders have been wrong. Last last time, I subbed burrata for chicken and got neither. This past time, no dressing (seriously, dry arugula is gross). Both times I complained and they credited me but I don't really want a few bucks back, I'd rather have my correct meal. Rude girl named CAMILA bosses her coworkers around and puts them down. I walked in with no hurry and was being attended by a sweet girl working there, and then this other black girl who I later found out her name was camila, insults her and tells her "you're bringing me "effin" down." I told her it was fine, then she rudely took the salad from her, told her to go away, and took over my order, except she was rude and seemed to be annoyed and even sighing loudly when I asked her I wanted extra dressing on the side. That was disgusting to watch. MIND YOU, the girl attending me was doing an amazing job with me. I usually love this place, but it's definitely going downhill, especially recently as mentioned in other recent reviews below me. I later asked for her name and told her I was dissatisfied, she ended up leaving the food there and walking away from me without saying a word, then laughing at me as she left. This isn't the first time I have had a bad experienced with this person named Camila. She is NOT a good image for this restaurant that I begun to love just over 2 years ago. (A year ago this location) I love everyone else here. This was my first time trying sweet green and wow was it great! I got the garden Cobb and my boyfriend got the harvest bowl. I did my order online and my food was ready to go when I walked into the store about 15 mins after ordering. The staff member that helped me was very nice! The salad was sooo good! I loved all the many fresh ingredients in my salad. The salads are expensive but I also think how much it would cost me to buy all those ingredients at the store so with that in mind I think the value is decent. They have a ton of salad and bowl options (both warm and hot bowl options), typically I go for colder salads but everyone including the staff kept recommending the harvest bowl! Did not disappoint, it was absolutely delicious. Pro tip- ask for the jalapeño cilantro lime dressing (instead of the classic balsamic) as well as the chicken thighs in the bowl. I love Sweetgreen's salads so so so much. So I'm going to leave a 5 star review because I too, work in a restaurant, and I think Yelp truly only hurts businesses, not helps them in any way. Here's my only complaint- if you order online they bury your additions, dressings, almonds, anything that comes in the 2 ounce portion cups inside your salad and all over your food. That part really gets to me. They're plastic, foreign objects, and who knows if they're clean, sanitized and stored in somewhere where someone didn't just touch them with their bare hands. They have zero way to contact someone that works in the store through their phone numbers listed online, their website or Yelp page to ask them to not do this. They offer zero places for special instructions on their order sites also. Yes I'll still order your salads. But please please please stop doing this. It also partially feels like they do this to take up extra room in the salad so they can short your on ingredients. Still love you. read more
