    BBQ Chicken Salad
    Mike K.

First time at Sweetgreen. My daughters love this place so we decided to stop in for lunch. They have a nice menu selection of cold and warm salads or you can order and customize whatever salad you would prefer. I had the BBQ chicken salad and it was very good, tangy and tasty with a nice portion of chopped chicken. It was a huge salad so I wasn't able to finish it surprisingly. We also ordered the rippled potatoes and enjoyed that as well with the side of garlic aïoli. They make everything in front of you and they have fresh vegetables in the refrigerators with glass doors behind the counter. Everything was very crisp and fresh so our meals were delicious. The staff was very helpful and pleasant too. It's a little pricy but overall, you get a nice large salad for the price. The large windows are nice for people watching while you enjoy your meal. I recommend this place located in the posh third ward for lunch or dinner.

We ate at sweetgreens as part of their soft opening promotion. They give you a lot of food. Everything is very fresh. The bread they give you also is very filling. Staff were super friendly, and all the packaging is environmentally friendly. The building is a historic building in the 3rd ward. Wish they had a bigger seating area but for a fast casual place like this it probably works.

LOVE Sweet Green! Yelp! Just held an event there where we could get an entry and crispy snack to try so I do want to preface that my meal was covered but it was delicious. I loved my selection - the Crispy Rice Bowl! The spicy cashew sauce is dairy free and gluten free but 100% not lacking flavor. It's a bit of a drive for me to go frequently but if I am in the area Sweet Green will be my first stop. Every single dish looked amazing and the staff was kind and responsible with treating allergens. For those who suffer dietary allergen, you know the struggle, Sweet Green is a safe place for us!

I have been sick and my body was craving something healthy and delicious, sweetgreen was exactly that. I ordered the hot honey chicken and it was everything I could have dreamed of. The bread is the only reason this gets 4 stars, as it definitely wasn't a typical focaccia and fell short for me. I love that I can count on sweetgreen when I need it most.

Good greens I've stopped in a few times since they opened but took a break due to pickup of online orders being delayed. The food itself is fantastic - it's what I'd love to make myself if I could food prep for lunch. I've had salads and bowls - everything is fresh and truly made to order. I was so happy with my eats today and pickup was ready ahead of time which is a double win.

Sweet, SweetGreen! I cannot tell ya how long I've been waiting your arrival to Milwaukee. Thanks for finally gracing us with you presence, and in a great location at that. Real food, healthy food, great food... we've needed this! I stopped in for their opening day. Well it was more of a 30/40 minute stop-in because of the wild line of locals eager to try their delicious eats. The place is certainly open, bright and inviting! Once I reached the front of the line, I was greeted by a friendly face to take my order. There are so many great, plant-forward salads and bowls to pick from! A big range of flavors too, from pesto chicken, bbq, and hummus, to caesar, buffalo, and teriyaki. Best part is, you can customize them all if you wish! I opted for the super green goddess this time. It was packed with tons of goodness that we're calling for me. Chickpeas, sweet potatoes, carrots, spicy broccoli, spinach and kale. Also, their house-made ranch that's definitely better than your typical ranch. I about shed a tear when I came to find out they were out of forks, because dang was a ready to dive in and eat. But hey, it was their first day and they we're doing a kick ass job otherwise keeping up with the crazy crowd. Take all my money, I'll be back!

Whewwwwwwww, where do I begin? I created my own bowl: Kale, Quinoa, Spicy Broccoli, Chicken, Cucumbers, Tomatoes & Carrots, and Toppings. EVERYTHING was extremely fresh. I typically only patronize FreshFin; the portions are plentiful and have an overall better taste. I'm definitely a fan and will order again soon.

First time here.I love salads, so was cautiously optimistic. It didn't disappoint. The service was quick and pleasant. It was very clean and bright and everyone seemed to enjoy working there. The options were many and I chose the BBQ chicken salad and it was crisp and fresh and tasty. It was definitely enough for a meal and not too out of this world pricey. Would definitely go back.

Food was pretty good but on the pricier side. Enjoyed the tofu and their quinoa was tasty, dressing was also very enjoyable.

    What's best for takeout?

Nothing really changes for take out, only thing I would recommend is not mixing your dressing. As them to put it on the side so the salad doesn’t get soggy by the time you eat it!

And the restaurant embraces that history and weaves it into the dining experience with the decor, heirlooms and anecdotes. The menu changes seasonally. Both seasons that I have seen were small but well-balanced with something to please most palates. We enjoyed the stuffed dates, the carrot curry soup, the salmon and the beef tenderloin. All of them were amazing. Seasoning was subtle to let the flavors of the ingredients shine through. And the cooking and execution was fantastic. Their cocktails are complex and delicious. And the creme brulee dessert was one of the best I've had in the city. The service was good, but this isn't a place you come for a quick bite and run. It started out fantastic, but after we received our food, we were never checked on again and actually had to literally chase down our server to get the bill. Outside there were three tables of people, one large group who was waiting for the baseball shuttle and just drinking. Two larger tables were set up as reserved inside. They slowly filled as we ate our meal. And one other table of two came in after us. There were maybe 4 people at the bar. All this to say, it wasn't crazy busy by any stretch. We started with one server (who was really good) who took our order then we were handed off to another (who wasn't bad). When we arrived we were one of two tables inside. There were three servers on the floor and two behind the bar which was adequate for the number of people dining. Our initial server apparently was working the reserved seating, but even still, the second server never checked on us after we received our food. Also, we didn't receive our entire order. We weren't charged for the food we didn't get, but had anyone stopped by to refill water or see if we wanted more drinks, we could have asked about the missing food. So, all in all, not the worst dining experience ever, but not the best. Being ignored is never fun.

It felt like a fancier bar, more than just the classic tavern style every Milwaukee bar is serving up. Fully loaded beer/drink menu. We sat outside since it was beautiful out. Our server was very attentive, and knew everything about the menu. The burger was delicious, with perfectly melted cheese. You can taste the quality in the meat and cheese. My wife had the house chicken sandwich. The chicken was thin, with a good amount of crunch. Exactly what you want for the perfect sandwich. Id love to come back for their pizza special on Monday nights. And for trivia! It looks like they have a shuttle so I hope to use that soon as well.

I wanted to support my vegan brothers and sisters and, having being on the road (actually on Amtrak, so rails, really) for a while, I was craving some protein. Following the advice of the friendly staff members, I opted for an order of "Drummies" (Dazed & Confused) to maximize my protein intake. I ended up eating it in the restaurant and thought the vegan drumsticks were delicious with the two homemade sauces provided (ranch and chili). This dish is pricier than most of the others ($15, compared to a more reasonable $4 for fries or $10 for vegan mozzarella sticks) but memorable. The place could do with a few tweaks in terms of décor/atmosphere but the friendly staff helped make it a nice experience. I'm also rating the Twisted Plants 4.5 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Everything on the menu - savory food and pastries - is vegan. * Most of the food packaging is compostable. * Staff members are happy to tell you what's in your food. The drummies that I ordered are from Lily's Vegan Pantry - made in Taiwan from soy and seasoning (no palm oil). * Cookies are from local vegan entrepreneur, Bunny's Bite. * It fills a useful niche of craveable vegan (elevated) fast food. Next time I want to try the Crispy Chik'n Salad (made with organic greens) as it's one of those dishes I never tried before I went veggie.

I got the grilled pork banh mi with a cup of broth (~1/2 quart, $5) with a Vietnamese iced coffee. Sandwich was good, but it wasn't very big for $10. The meat, which was good I was expecting to be pieces of grilled meat, was very sparse and very thin, like bulgogi. The broth was pretty sweet instead of savory and likely already pre-seasoned with hoisin. In terms of service, I had placed my order first. Sandwich with the coffee. My partner said he'll have the same thing. I confirmed to make sure that was also including the ice coffee, and the person that took our order said yes. We waited for a while for our order (highly recommend ordering online, we just saw different prices on their website vs online ordering service, so we thought we'd just wait to order in person), then she forgot our iced coffees. We waited some more. She only brought out one. She said oh sorry, I only rang you up for one. So we waited some more. At that point I thought she would just let us have the coffee on the house, but she did indeed ring us up. We were probably in and out with our to-go order in about 40 minutes. All in all, I'd go back for the iced coffees if I was in the area because they were good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back.
