I customized it with grilled chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots, cabbage, lettuce, and spinach. Instead of the usual dressing, I swapped it for buffalo sauce, which added a nice kick without overpowering the fresh ingredients. Everything tasted crisp, fresh, and high quality, and the combination of vegetables with the chicken and sweet potatoes made for a satisfying, filling meal. The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained, although it was extremely busy during my visit. The only downside was the service, which came across as a little rude and not very welcoming. Waited by the counter until someone finally came by and I mentioned I was here for online pick up. She just said ok. Again I waited around with no update and asked another employee. I had to contact customer service through the app for help. The salad was finally ready and not great. I requested medium salad dressing to be mixed into my power green bowl. Still tasted dry. Lots of kale but lacked more of the other ingredients. Tasted bland. I haven't been here in a long time and not sure how often I'll come back. There is no seating. This location is pick up only. IMPORTANT: there is NO seating!! This is a take away only type of establishment. I learned this the hard way, unfortunately. I've been to many different Sweetgreen locations, and this one wasn't anything special compared to the others. I stopped in on my lunch break one day and was happy at how quickly they moved the line! However, I wish I would've just ordered online ahead of time. They seem to have an excellent system in place for ordering online! I'll most likely be back, and I'll be sure to try that out to see if it makes for an even faster and smoother experience. read more

Really frustrating experience. The Sweetgreen app wasn't working, so the $10 off promotion couldn't be applied even though we were physically in the store trying to scan it. Staff told us we had to be there in person and scan the app... which we were, but the app simply would not work. To make things worse, they didn't tell anyone until after people had already ordered that the discount wouldn't be honored. When we asked about it, they refused to apply the $10 off and were rude and dismissive about the situation. Poor communication, no flexibility, and very disappointing customer service. read more

Update: TLDR: skip the collab with COTE Coworkers and I went to try out the new collab with COTE (few ordered ahead on the app and few ordered in person). We were very excited to try the KBBQ Steak Bowl. However, our bowls (that we ordered on the app) was supposed to be ready at 1:20pm and also received the notification that the orders were completed exactly at 1:20pm. 3 out of 5 orders weren't ready when we got there and had to ask multiple times if our orders were ready, and the staff eventually admitted (after waiting for 25 minutes pass the ready time) that they ran out of the kbbq steak (no apologies or compensation) and will have to wait 30 minutes for the next batch. They instead replaced the kbbq steak with garlic steak for 3 of the orders. The other two coworkers that picked up their bowls from the pick up area, noticed when they got back to the office that there were no kbbq steak in their bowls (meaning they didn't add any meat to their bowl and had to pay the full price of the featured bowl). The other two who ordered in person weren't satisfied with the kbbq steak bowls as one didn't even get their double meat portion. What an utter mess and rip off! Stick to your custom bowls and skip on the collab; not worth the wait and disappointment. read more

There is a nice place to eat near Battery Park/NYC Library. Since there is no place to sit and eat inside, you buy the food and take it out to Battery Park. The food is like Chipolet, but overall, it's good. Service is good. I was there on Saturday around 12:30 p.m. It's a good thing it was not very busy, so I could ask some questions to order exactly what I wanted. The server was really helpful. They have set dishes, and you can add and remove ingredients. Overall, satisfying meal. They had some soft drinks that were not name brands, but their brands they are okay. I'm the biggest Sweetgreen fan :p I first went to this location after going to the Bryant Park winter village, and it was the most refreshing experience because it was reasonably priced food (compared to the stands) and significantly quieter. The staff were super sweet and quick with my order. They were also so patient since I was unsure of what I even wanted. I haven't been here during their usual lunch/rush hour so I can't speak to the service then. I dine here for lunch when I am working in DTLA. This review is based on my multiple experience at SG in Downtown Los Angeles. I did dine at this NYC location one time. This restaurant is built into the bottom of the US Bank Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the USA. Even at busy business lunch the employees here are Crack and move things along. I prefer to make my own salad (8.5) and add the Blackened Chicken (3). You can also add salmon (5). Like in Subway, you go down the line and tell them what you want in it. Limit 4 veggies for the make your own. Their brown rice and veggies are the best. They use the best veggies and ingredients. Expect to pay approx. (14) for a salad here with tax. It's worth it if you are looking for quality. They will ask you if you want dressing light, med or heavy but I found that even light is too heavy so I just get it on the side. If you don't already know, this operation has been so successful that recently private investors have put up 2 Billion dollars in investment capital for Sweetgreen expansion all over the USA. That is an unprecedented amount for a restaurant. Privately held, this concept was started by a few guys who were in search of the ultimate salad. Try it if it fits in your budget. Solid sweetgreen location. Even with two entire walls lined with dedicated shelves for order pick-up, the lines during the workday between 11:30-2:30pm can be ridiculously long, often 20-30 people deep. Aside from these times the wait for ordering in person isn't too bad. Like most lunch salad places there are a couple options to order: 1) you start with a base, and request the servers to add the components you want as you move down the line. Usually it comes with 3 add-ins and a dressing of your choice, but this option is a little annoying bc was they don't post any prices of what's included as a regular add-in and which are extra, and exactly how much extra. And they don't always have the same items available each season. 2) go with their basic or seasonal cold or warm salad recommendations that come with pre-set ingredients. Most of these are pretty darn tasty--I'd say most of the better tasting compared to some other salad places like Chopt or Just Salad. Overall if you are looking for a delicious salad and don't mind paying around $15 for it then sweetgreen is the way to go. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I am a very picky person when it comes to my greens so I tend to just eat salad at home or just have caesar salad when I am out. So when someone recommended this place, I went for it. They have a variety of great options if you want salads or a warm bowl. I went for making my own salad while my husband had a crispy rice bowl. All the veggies were super fresh in state and there is a great variety of greens and veggies. I also liked their dressing and topping options which most of the time is something other businesses lag on. The final product was super delicious and fulfilling as the portions are gigantic. This sweetgreen is a literal madhouse during lunch rush. The line to order in person snakes out the door, and I waited about 20 minutes to place my order. The crowd trying to pick up app/online orders is also super chaotic. However, I felt as though they were more generous with portions than other locations I've been to. I made a custom salad with beets, cucumber, lime squeeze, and tomatoes and it was enough for two whole meals. I don't recommend saving leftovers super long though as it's not as good after sitting in the fridge for a while. read more

So I am updating my review from my past experience after giving Sweetgreen near Bryant Park another try. Unfortunately, this has not changed and the staff and quality of the food are still subpar. To clarify, I went back to give it another chance this week and noticed one of the staff not wearing a mask while others were. Granted this was around 7:30-7:45pm, but this doesn't change the fact that we are still dealing with COVID and there are rules and guidelines that need to be followed for all places and restaurants. Second, I looked passed that the following day and needed something quick before my next meeting. I went for the Kale Caesar Bowl since I know it's quick and easy. When I got to the end of the line to pay, I noticed that it was half full. I asked the staff member that made the bowl if that is the new portion amount and did they cut down on the amount they fill the bowl? He responded with he doesn't know and clearly seemed like he didn't care. This was also concerning since other staff members were behind him not caring and just on there phones. Well, I honestly was like, salad?!?! Who can get full from the salad? My friend who lives in NY couldn't stop talking about this place.
