I'm not big on desserts because my previous experience are mostly American desserts that are overly sweetened and rich (i.e. apple pie, cake, ice cream, creme burley, etc.) So when I was introduced to SweetHoney, I naturally hesitated to go. After we were seated, we were given some hot green tea while we looked at the menu. The tea was not spectacular, but did helped soothe my mouth and stomach in preparation for the dessert. We ordered the cold Coco Mango Tofu Pudding and the hot Red Bean Dun Lai. The Coco Mango dessert was definitely sweet but was kept in check by the silky tofu and the hint of sourness from the pomelo juice and grapefruit. The mango and grapefruit cubes are chopped bite size that gave the dessert an added depth. The tapioca was present and the texture served as bridge between the smooth pudding and the fruit cubes. When eaten together, the cubes, tapioca and pudding gave the experience a three layer depth that was very fulfilling. My only minor compliant was that some of the tapioca were clumped together giving me an unnecessary amount of tapioca in one bite. The base of the Dun Lai tasted like a mixture of milk and beaten egg white. The milk itself was tasteless but the egg white was readily noticeable. It was finished with a topping of sweet red beans. Once in the mouth, the egg white pudding immediately melted. The added red bean gave the pudding texture and sweetness which otherwise be rather bland and lingered until the next bite. Both desserts are worthy of trying and the service and cleanliness were fair. I definitely recommend this place for people who may want to experience HK-style dessert or people that had been turned off by contemporary high-calorie sweets like myself. read more

It was my first time coming here and all I can say is it's so good. I was impressed of the Calamari I didn't expect it to be good and it is WORTH IT. The Curly Fries were also good. Wait is long but the atmosphere is good. It smells really good here. It takes 20-25 minutes for your order to arrive.

Orange passion domineer green tea is my go to drink and almond egg white pudding is simple and satisfying.

I understand the restaurant gets busy. Luckily The food is good enough for me to want to come back to deal with the service. Even if it's just the basics, like provide napkins if you order chicken wings, or offer small plates for the savory appetizers, the waiters and waitresses are too new to understand that concept. I hope in time, which I am sure they will, they will be able to master those basics and work at a faster pace more efficiently. The desserts are good, very different from the regular desserts you see in this area. Glad they chose this location to open up shop. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out ever since it opened! I came here with a friend on a Thursday night to catch up. Parking: It's a huge plaza so lots of parking. Customer service: It was alright, the place was packed and they only seemed to have 3 people staffing? Didn't have to wait long for the desserts to come out though. I'm just glad we didn't have to wait, because I've heard of people waiting like 1.5 hours just to be seated... Environment: Casual, lots of people chatting and just hanging out but we didn't have to shout to be heard. It looks pretty nice inside, but it's a bit cramped, especially if you're unlucky enough to get a table in the corner. FOOD: Got the black rice pudding and mango sago pudding with grapefruit? This place is new n very busy. I came here on Sunday night and waiting bout 15 mins. This place called sweethoney desert, but none of them sweets. Cream burlee taste like too much water in the ingredients, mango smoothie is real mango and taste like u eat whole mango(not cold). Price is a bit expensive n portion so little. We arrived at 11 PM and were seated by 11:30, which was very surprising since there was 8 people ahead of us. However, we waited around 20 minutes for us to order.. Tea was on the house, which was yummy! They never refilled the teas when the glass was empty so I'm guessing it's just one glass per customer. The deserts were okay/nothing special. Checked out their souffle pancakes yesterday. I still haven't tried Gram yet. I have tried O Honey in Dublin and Oh Dessert on Irving. O Honey is very eggy and third place. I would not recommend. Oh Dessert would be 1st choice for texture and uniqueness. Definitely different texture and worth a try. They have the ube and boba topping at Oh Dessert which is nice. SweetHoney would be second choice. Their pancakes are eggy as well but not as thick as O Honey. Nice option for something different from your typical pancakes. But service can be lacking and slow here at times. I like the Their curry fishballs when they come out hot. They have a good spice and remind me of Hong Kong fishballs from the street vendors almost but not really. But I like the sauce. The chicken wings, gyoza and Japanese siu mais ate not bad.
