I had what the delightful barista called the Emma sandwich! It was soo good I could eat 100. Bacon egg cheese and spinach with her addition of the Carmel onion jam. Savory and sweet hit the spot while the crcroissant was flaky and a perfect touch! She also made a fantastic drink recommendation based on my flavor profile.

Leave it to Sweets N' Java to take a plain ole ham and cheese sandwich and turn it into a gastronomic delight.

Kind of expensive for bad cappuccinos and mediocre baked goods. I guess there's not much competition in Holden.

The Seafood you get here is the best you will find at any chain grocer. Another savings tip - if you spend so much money on Gladware or other "throw away" tupperware this needs to be a next stop for you. Big Y actually has their own store brand of this tupperware and its just as good, doesn't warp in the dishwasher and they are actually stain resistant. The huge containers are only $4 for a set! They also usually have buy 2 get 1 or some great deal like that all the time. They often do have BOGO or Buy one get 2 or buy 3 get 2 .. you get the idea... but all over the store! Gets very busy on Saturday mornings and of course before snow storms. I still don't quite understand the coin system much but I know when I do use them on applicable items I end up with a tiny biill. If you aren't going to sign up for the store card ($5 annually I beleive) then don't bother shopping at Big Y unless you love to pay more for groceries. Every time they scan my card my bill goes down at least $20. Quality of the produce, meat, and seafood is the best for any chain. The variety can be a little reserved on regular grocery items but I've found that the store brand of what they have is just as good if not better than name brand. I especially like this location because its in a plaza and I can maximize shopping days by visiting any other places I need to while I grocery shop. The store made pizza is better than most local shops!! Recommendation: Shop hungry. Get there, order a pizza from the pizza counter, do your gluttonous shopping, go get the pizza, enjoy a slice in the cafe area across from produce, grab a bottle of wine in the adjacent section, and head on home to finish that bad boy of a pizza....maybe your should order 2 if you have hungry fam waiting at home.

The store seems to empty the bottle room primarily upon customer request which is really inconvenient when you show up with 6 trash bags of bottles and cans, which were purchased at the same store. But the unapologetic attitude I got from customer service and then the store manager sealed the deal. I've dumped Facebook, Amazon, Twitter and Instagram. Big Y is now on my list. Our food order (Siam Sampler, Crispy Chicken Pad Thai and Sweet & Sour Lady Fingers) all just FABULOUS! The food came out hot, presentation was nice and the colors were vibrant. Chicken moist and tender, veggies done to perfection, pad thai noodles were not overly sweet but just enough to make you want to continue eating more and more! The Siam Sampler came with 3 sauces that enhanced the flavors (the flavors were on point so the sauces were just a bonus if you like dipping)! We asked if we could put all the food in the middle of the table so we could share everything and it was not a problem at all. The bar was beautiful and the restaurant was exceptionally clean. We were certainly not rushed at all and enjoyed our time at Siam 9! We will definitely be going back and bringing many family members with us - a nice little gem in Holden for Thai food! Have a wonderful vacation ALEX, see you upon your return as we are already deciding the date we will be returning!

The place is called "Frutti". It is a typical self serve fro-yo place in the style of TCBY,…read moreSweetFrog, Menchie's, or FroZenYo. You have 5-6 machines with 2 flavors each, then a selection of toppings and you pay by weight. The flavors at this location were actually pretty good. Better than my last experience at FroZenYo, but not as good as SweetFrog. The Triple Cheesecake is chocolatey, but perhaps a little too sweet. The tart raspberry had the raspberry taste I was looking for, but maybe was not as tart as I would have wanted. The coconut was actually pretty darn good as coconut fro-yo goes. In terms of the frozen yogurt, I have two complaints about this place. 1.) You need to keep the trays and run-offs from the machines clean. Those areas looked like they had not been cleaned for a bit, and when you are doing self serve, there are all sorts of variables in terms of people. 2.) Limited low fat options and no non-fat options. No gluten free options listed for those that need it. Most other places I frequent are very good about denoting gluten free/non-fat. Not to mention, I get frozen yogurt because it is low fat, and not having it there just makes me want ice cream. The toppings selection is really well done. The nut/granola selection is nicely segregated from the fruits, with the candy in the middle. Had some unique items that I had not seen in other places, such as multiple types of boba (at least 4), caramel/peanut butter/raspberry chocolate cups (mini), among others. Limited fruit selection though, I'm used to having some sort of berry (or more), and some sort of citrus. Only really had pineapple and maraschino cherries. I'd like it if the folks behind the counter policed the topping bar more, so that the ladles are facing in the right direction. The ladles are the labels, so not being able to see the label means I'm guessing. But it did hit the spot.
