Since the move, SweetSpot has been trying to add different items to their menu. One might say this is good thing but it seems as if they're stretching themselves too thin. The food here just really isn't that great anymore and honestly the cupcakes can be pretty hit or miss most of the time. What makes me even more sad is I love the French macaroons they've added but on any given day they can be full of air bubbles which is a complete bummer because then they're just crap, and at two bucks a pop, that's just ridiculous. All in all, I hope they slow down a bit and focus on what made them so successful in the first place. read more

We just visited this gem! The coffee is amazing! Out of this world. The ice cream was yummy, we had the salted caramel and coconut. I love it that they have kids area. My kids played while we drank coffee, win win for all. Ordered Tiramisu & Boston Cream cupcakes for a party. Customer service from girls @ the counter was nice & accommodating. The cupcakes were disappointing. The cake portion was terribly dry, generic & stale tasting. Would've been difficult to swallow if it hadn't been for the frosting. Flavors were generic. Many people at party also complained. I don't think I'd order again. We ended up throwing out the remaining cupcakes Next time we'll rely on Costco desserts. Also Safeway Redding has nice cupcakes. read more

We went here for something sweet today. I went there once or twice at the old location and had bought cupcakes for gifts. This location is just wonderful. I love the mix of colors, textures and fixtures. I rarely eat dessert so we skipped breakfast and lunch or this. Well worth it. We had some gelato and were given a mini cupcake with our purchase. Flavors we had were coffee, pistachio, birthday cake and a forest berry, I don't think that was the correct name but it was something like that. Just perfection! So flavorful but not too sweet. I like that they serve wines, salads and savory baked goods as well. The employees were very nice too! We loved it and will make it the go to spot for sweets, may even toss in a salad for fun! read more

I took my kids to Sweetspot on a weekday afternoon and we had the place all to ourselves. I got the gelato and my two boys got mini cupcakes, and everything was delicious. They have an awesome kids play area in the back, where kids can color on the walls and play with Lego-type toys. It's great, and it kept my kids entertained for almost an hour. We were traveling south on the 5 and stopped for a coffee and tasty treat. We were pleased with our choice. We got an iced coffee, cupcake, and each a small yogurt. They have 6 dairy free flavors. We settled on the Red Orange which was amazing. The cupcake was fresh and flavorful. The service was very pleasant and on task. She had great advice for a first timer. I wish we lived closer. I was excited - I had heard that Sweetspot had awesome salads that were well worth the price. Unfortunately, I am not impressed. Maybe if I hadn't added chicken for $2 that is barely there and avocado for a $1 and is invisible. In fact, I told the ladies that I am missing the avo but paid for it, to which I was told it IS in there and probably just at the bottom. So I checked -- no visible avocado, nor can I taste it. So I told the young lady just that - she replied (reluctantly) I can put some more in for you. I wasn't keen on sending my salad back and having the avo disappear again - so I asked for it on a plate...a little while avocado came out. Here's my issue - if a business charges $1 to $2 more for an item -- you need to be able to see and taste that item. The rest of the salad is fine - fresh and good but not impressed with the value for the price. read more

My favorite Gelato place is on the other side of the country and has been ranked best ice cream in the world by National geographic. So my standards are super high. Sweetspot manages to compete. It has a nice vibe and really tasty Gelato - we had the forest berries with panna cotta. The creme brulee was also delicious, though a little more like pudding in flavor (didn't ruin it at all). There cupcakes are good but I feel there a bit pricey. I especially love there "divas" cupcake. The people that work there are not always friendly though. The place is very small and I think it should have more seating, but it's pretty good. read more

I love this place! Their flatbread pizzas are my favorite. Bagels are insanely good too and huge. Great spot for coffee and lunch.

Went there once for gelato but ended up getting the dessert thing they have in the mason jar. I have gotten the tiramisu, the brownie, and the lemon! They are great. My favorite was the tiramisu. Not too sweet and great new dessert. The only thing wrong with it, I think is that it is a little in the pricy side and if you want to take it to go you have to buy the mason jar. So, I was a little disappointed as I called today to order some cups cakes for a baby shower I explain to the lady on the phone what I need and immediately said we don't make those cupcakes in mini. For a customer to call and pre-order month in advance some cupcakes for a baby shower you I would think even though they don't make these cupcake in mini for what the customer is calling and asking for I was a little thrown off by the answer I got. It was just weird to call a place that does custom orders wish they would have been a lot better to me. So I had to go some where else and that was a bummer because I really love your cupcakes. read more

First time here was pretty disappointed in the quality of the raspberry filled croissant. Absolutely NO fruit as described to me prior to ordering. A smudge of pink and some dried up cheese filling that was smudged on as well. As someone with celiac, it's difficult to find good gluten free desserts, especially baked goods. So, when I went to Sweetspot last week, I had some reservations. I was there in the early afternoon and it was fairly busy, so the GF selection was limited. I went with a strawberry cream cheese cupcake and WOW, it blew my mind. I have never tasted a better GF cupcake, aside from perhaps Mariposa in the Bay Area. It was light, sweet, and had no weird aftertaste. I'm super curious about what kind of flour blend they use to make this perfect product! Very well done, Sweetspot!! I will definitely be back. read more
