So, I put a lot of effort into finding the absolute best dentist in the NYC area who would honestly deal with my desperate situation. And because I was paying for this personally, an expert dentist who was also considerate of cost and my financial situation. Now, after having completed this lengthy, difficult dental procedure with results that are stellar, I feel compelled to post this review (which usually I never do) about the dentist I chose after my extensive research and deliberation: Dr. David Badalov at Aesthetic Dental in Brooklyn. I chose him because his education is top notch; his experience is extensive and comprehensive; and importantly, his professional attitude was honest, accommodating, friendly, and reassuring. His initial assessment and recommendation was so impressive I immediately selected him, dismissing the many other proposals I was getting. Dr. Diba redid my filling and said that all went well, however that my filling in the next tooth would also need to be redone imminently. As I was already numbed, we agreed she could do it then. I have had plenty of fillings before, but I have never had my head jerked around, sharp pain, and so much uncertaintly during an appointment. It ended with her letting me know that she drilled so much tooth that I would probably need a root canal. The office manager texted me the next day with several apologies, probably because the staff had noticed what a disaster it was. This was a dentist they were "trying out." I wish I'd been informed as much, and that a regular dentist had also been present. I haven't chewed with the left side of my mouth since, and rely on ibuprofen and tylenol for the pain. iSmile ignored my last scheduling text, and while was told that the owner was going to call me, but never did. They were paid well from both me and my insurance, the dentist was paid, and yet I have to undergo a root canal elsewhere. Obviously I've booked in with my previous dentist that is trustworthy.

When I returned she of course remembered me, and her practice has grown into a beautiful space, with advanced tools and methods. Dr. Ifill's expertise and care for both her patients and the community are indicative of the consummate professional and representative of her patients that's she's always been; she wants us all to be healthy and happy, and that's what her care is about. Her work is more than dentistry: Dr. Ifill is a philanthropist, an instructor and mentor for new physicians entering the field, and a model of excellence as a Black woman business owner. What's she's accomplished couldn't have been easy, yet after all these years, she's still keeping tireless hours in her office, with patients and on the job. She's just as personable and friendly as she's always been, patient with any questions and concerns. I appreciate the time taken at Garden Dental to educate me in how to best care for my teeth; they make recommendations of procedures and products that I accept or don't as I or anybody can so choose, and the goodie bags with extra floss, toothbrush and paste are great too. From the chats during consults, the lovely front desk staff who also know your name, and make me feel at home with every visit, Garden Dental makes something that could be a chore more akin to visiting with a neighbor for coffee.

The male I spoke to was very short and snippy and really made me feel like he did not take this seriously, so I asked to speak to someone else. The 2nd person was even ruder. First off, there was ZERO patience or kindness from either of your staff. They said there is NO WAY I can communicate with my dentist- not via phone, or email or even through a medical portal. I would have to pay for a $150 visit to come in and ask questions. They said the doctor was "too busy" to communicate any other way. Second, your staff is directly sabotaging my access to health care because they are unwilling to help me properly submit a 2nd request for service. You guys took my money then left me high and dry when I actually really needed you. I will be losing my healthcare in 60 days and I don't have time to play games with snippy staff who simply refused to answer questions or take my case seriously. If your front desk staff can't be polite and compassionate, they should find a job where they don't have to deal with the public. They are acting like gate keepers to patient's health care and in a world where it is already hard enough to get medical care this is your biggest failure. I'll find another dentist. Do better.

I came to this office for tooth extraction and dentures, in severe pain. I am on medicaid and…read moreneeded emergency extractions so I could get dentures. I had someone willing to help me have my teeth extracted. Dr. Igor Deckhkanov and Dr. Howard Wang intentionally harmed me and refused me full tooth extraction and dentures. I have infection, bone loss, metal allergies and type 2 diabetes. Dentures are literally my only option. Dr. Wang cracked a tooth and broke two crowns extracting only four teeth. Dr. Wang refused to extract anymore saying they weee healthy teeth, which is false. CBCT proved him totally wrong. Dr. Wang charged over $6000 to cause me harm removing only four teeth for that ridiculous price. Dr. Dekhkanov charged $1000 to replace the temporary crowns Dr. Wang broke. They were on horribly decayed, painful teeth Dr. Wang refused to extract. The temporaries look like they were made by a preschooler. Their xrays and cbct were unusable by other dentists and were $600. Dr. Dekhkanov intentionally did not point out infection in my teeth and mouth. I had to point it out to him on CBCT. It is overt infection needing biopsy and culture. And then Dr. Dekhkanov prescribed me a pediatric dose of antibiotic to treat the infection he tried to hide from me. He and Dr. Wang refused to extract my teeth for dentures. I am already missing 10 teeth. I believe their refusal was an intent to prevent treatment of infection and bone loss. I believe they work with the shadow government in this metaverse who intend to cause harm to very specific people. Evil men. I have conditions which prevent me from being able to have further crowns and root canals. Dentures are the only option for teeth, and they refused. Please see the videos I uploaded of them refusing to extract my teeth for dentures and providing no option for teeth.

It's so nice to have a dentist you can just fully trust without any worries. You never feel like you are being rushed here and they take the time to make sure everything is done perfect. Dr Nguyen even texted me the next day to check in after my root canal! I just finished getting my root canal and crown done here and it went great! I just had the first half of a root canal performed today (it's going to happen in 2 visits). I've…read moreonly had Dr. Izabella Belenkiy, but her caring demeanor is what makes me keep coming back here, even though I hate dentists. My mouth is SUPER-SENSITIVE, and I had some pretty deep cavities. but whenever you tell her to stop, she will. One of my cavities was so deep that the first time I went in, they couldn't do the procedure because I wouldn't allow her to get into the tooth there was so much sensitivity. She aborted that procedure (left me with a temporary filling), and the next time, she said "OK, we're going to try this differently this time since you're so sensitive" and the procedure was completed without pain of any kind during or after. Today, she started a root canal, which will be completed next time. Again, there was some extreme sensitivity, but this time she was like "I'm going to give you a few minutes, that's the only way we're going to get this done". Whatever she did before stepping out of the room for about 10 minutes helped immensely! Afterwards, she asked if there was any pain while she tried some things, when I said no, she got right to work. Again, aside from the initial thinking she was trying to kill me, no pain during or after. :) What got me started on this whole course of treatment was a dental emergency - I had SEVERE pain in a tooth (turned out that a wisdom tooth needed to be extracted, and she needed to send me elsewhere to have that done). She saw me, a patient that she had never seen before, on an hour's notice and referred me to an oral surgeon based on the X-rays that she took. Great customer service! I've been going back every week or two since for various procedures.
