The food however was very average and overpriced for what it was. The breakfast burrito was huge but it had like a whole potato stuffed into it. I unfortunately forgot the name of the woman who helped me, but she was so kind and helpful. She went over what was popular, and also how everything was made from scratch including the bread and chips. First of, the cashier was very friendly and so were the rest of the people there. Their sign said they were closed at 2:30pm but at 3pm she said they were still open depending on how busy they were. We ordered the caprese sandwich and Turkey pesto. It comes with homemade potato chips or upgrade for fries. I asked for crispy fries but they were just cooked normally and not seasoned at all. I had to add a ton of salt. The sandwiches were good but the chips were not evenly seasoned. One chip was extremely salty. The Yelp check in gives you a free soda or 40% off a bottled drink. Covid 19 Review This place is a small and hidden gem within Irvine. It's located in a small business area! So far I've tried the breakfast burrito, the Korean bbq sandwich and the chili cheese tots. Other members of my party have tried the loaded burger. Breakfast Burrito - good size and has full links of sausage and full strips of bacon. The egg is fluffy and folded into the burrito. Most places give you diced up sausage and bacon - not this placed, they give ya full sausage and bacon. It also has seasoned breakfast potato's in the burrito. So I ordered the veggie burger at the recommendation of the cashier, but it had very little flavor and was so greasy! Unfortunately, the small beef patty had already fallen apart inside of the bun because the beef patty was so thin. The bun itself was big and tasted good, but there was much more bread than "burger" in this Ol' Faithful Burger; and for over $15.00 in price, I would expect much more "beef" in a burger. The fries that accompanied the burger were not crisp, and many of them were spongy and soft in texture. For this reason, I threw away over half of the fries because they were too spongy, and didn't taste like fries. The restaurant was clean and the counter staff was friendly and hard-working, so they deserve 5 stars. read more

Love this spot as a regular to-go from my work nearby. Whenever we have a team lunch or birthday, this is THE spot. They are only open lunch hours as expected, have plenty of easily accessible parking directly in front, and have tables both inside and outside to sit down. Tables can be pushed together for larger parties. While the sandwiches are a little on the pricey side (last I remember, $13-14), the portion sizes are huge, the sandwiches are all super tasty, and you can sub the standard side of potato chips for French fries for an extra charge if you wish. I don't mind the price since it EASILY becomes 2 meals, even if I'm really hungry. I've had the turkey sandwich with arugula and the KBBQ sandwich. Wow, this place is a hidden gym. For brevity's sake, the owners (I think there name's are Rumi and Bruce) definitely believe in their food. Tuna melt - I like tuna melts. The cheese, slight char on the tomatoes, well seasoned tuna, and herbs/mayo mixture had me happy! Kept me full too! Breakfast burrito - so good! Food coma if eaten by one person. The bacon is protein candy. Lol. House made chips - taste like in and out fries but in chip form! Delicious! Bacon - thick sliced, brown sugar, and a nice chew. This is like bacon jerky and a nice way for kids to get carbs, fats, and protein (adults too)! French toast - solid. I am used to over the top diabetes sweet french toast. The good: I had an oink oink sandwich and modified it by adding raw onion and baby greens. The bread was great and the flavors were very nice. The roasted tomato was a nice touch and change from regular raw tomato. It also had garlic aioli that made it both tasty and messy. I thought the homemade potato chips were super crunchy and fun. There is plenty of outdoor dining space and shade. The workers bring your order out to you after you order at the counter at the front door. They have burgers, salads, sandwiches and breakfast items. The bad: I wanted to order the kefir soda that I saw they had a tap of but they weren't selling it at the time I came. I also ordered the bistro chicken sandwich at 11AM on a Saturday and they ran out. I ordered two sandwiches (the pesto chicken and the oink oink sandwich) but the girl taking my order somehow only heard one of my orders and only gave me the oink oink sandwich. I also explicitly asked her to "replace the caramelized onion with raw onion" but she documented and gave us both types of onion (not a big deal to me but my husband has a cooked onion aversion). The potato chips could also have used a bit more salt. The wait was pretty long. I saw the pastrami and swiss sandwich on their online menu but not in the instore menu. It's hard to see their wall menu from the counter where you order because the words on top are cut off from the angle that you'd be standing at from the front door. I arrived to this location before noon as I was parked that the parking is tough here. Although the parking lot was almost full, a car pulled out and I was able to park in front of the restaurant. I ate here for a colleague's birthday celebration. I ordered a loaded burger which had beef, bacon, bleu cheese and arugula on a potato bun (I opted out on the caramelized onions and thousand island). The burgers come with fries and soda is extra. I received the food and they messed up in the order as my burger had the caramelized onions, which I opted out on. I f*cking hate onions. They re-made my burger to my specifications. Once I inspected the burger again prior to taking a bite, I saw that the bleu cheese was sparse, the single bacon strip was broken into two pieces instead of two strips of bacon and the beef patty was quite small, all concealed by a mound of arugula. Although I was not impressed with the appearance of the burger, It did taste good and tasted fresh. The french fries were very good. The meal was expensive for the portion size so next time I will get a double burger instead. My vote is for three stars. Price point is a bit high for the food portions but the food was good. The food is excellent - brimming with flavor. I had the Korean Beef BBQ sandwich. It comes on like a hoagie roll. The meat was so full of flavor, and the juice from it soaked into the bread. So yum. It was topped with coleslaw. And I chose the onion rings as my side. They were crunchy and full of flavor as well. They weren't the usual thin breaded onions full of grease. They were rich with flavor, no excess grease and they had real crunch and mouth feel. Wow! They have a military discount - Chef Bruce is a former Marine. Semper Fi, Bruce! The restaurant is super cozy, fans blowing, doors open, decorated with Buddhist pictures and World of Warcraft paintings. Loved it. The staff was so pleasant. Smiles all around. They were happy to explain some of the menu items and put up with our questions and indecision. Bruce came out after we had been eating a bit and we chatted awhile about the Marines and what we were doing in the area for Memorial Day weekend. Visiting with the staff made our experience all the more memorable. Thanks, Bruce and staff. We will definitely visit again in the future to try other gems from the menu. I love this little brunch place! It's small but offers so much more. They have both breakfast and lunch options. I went early in the morning and both menus are available but there are just a few items that aren't quite ready yet (slow cooked meat I think but double check when you're there!) I was craving a quesadilla but my stomach doesn't usually like cheese so I asked if the chef could mash some tater tots in there in place of the cheese. To my surprise, he said yes! It was such a delicious meal! Everyone kept checking in to see if everything was ok and it was more than ok- it was a perfect brunch!
