I was looking for a good sandwich place for lunch and saw that the pesto sandwich photos from this Yelp looked amazing. Looks are deceiving. I am disappointed. What I got was a mediocre very salty sandwich that had hardly any pesto on it. At first I thought they forgot to add it but then I looked really hard and realized they smeared the tiniest bit of pesto on top of the tomato, nothing like the pesto loaded photos on this Yelp page. It's super expensive too... $17 and I gave another dollar tip. I kinda wish I hadn't. Came to S'wich looking for breakfast before a flight out of SNA. Friendly guy, must have been the proprietor, warmly greeted us and look our order. I had the breakfast special (eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast) and my wife the breakfast sandwich. While we were waiting for our food it seemed like the owner knew every customer by first name "hey Bob how you doing? What you having today?". Really friendly vibe to the place. When done he brought our food to our table. The breakfast special was fantastic. Scrambled eggs cooked just right, nice thick juicy sauages, hash brown beautifully done. Stopped by to pick up breakfast for the family & was met by the most upbeat worker. He had a huge smile on his face and was beaming. After placing my order, I took a seat and observed the restaurant workers & patrons. As I sat there, I could not help but feel a sense of happiness. This place is such a hidden gem! Coworkers decided to go out for lunch and try a new spot, or at least it was new for me. A few had wanted to return after trying one of their sandwiches and exclaimed they made legit s'wiches. Located in a small strip plaza off Laguna Canyon, it's right next to Inka's and Quickly's. The bistro offers indoor and outdoor seating, but you gotta place your orders first. The menus are all handwritten with description located beneath the name of item. Since I was newb, I had a hard time deciding what to get since everything sounded so amazing. I was indecisive between the Korean Beef BBQ or the Turkey Pesto, but the cashier was gracious enough to give me the run down. She listed a few popular items such as the Korean Beef and BLT. However, she noted that there was a special of the day which is located to the right of the beverages. It was their 48-hour Pulled Pork. PULLED PORK!! I said yes to that one without hesitation. House marinated and braised "oink oink" served with creamy slaw and a side of their bistro chips. Omg...so glad I got this one! The pulled pork was extremely flavorful and it was nicely sauced. It will get messy to eat, so definitely pack some napkins with you or you might want to try to fork and knife it. My only complaint was the slim pairing of slaw to keep it from being mushy overall, but I found out that you can add more slaw. You just gotta ask! Overall, definitely a neat place to grab lunch! Found this place while waiting for my husband's procedure to be done at Kaiser. The food is amazing. I got the Korean beef bbq sandwich. It was delicious, the bread was amazing. The side of chips were thin and crispy and made in house. They were a great accompaniment to the sandwich. They also have Gluten free bread for those that have an allergy. Vegan options. Lots of options for different dietary needs. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Has a very relaxed feel right when you walk in and they play great music. There is an outdoor courtyard as well. This used to be my absolute favorite sandwich spot. The turkey pesto was my dream come true. I got one today and I also got one for my husband. I only ate half bc it was so smothered in Mayo, even after wiping some off it was still too much for me. My husband ate his and hours later we both feel sick. It was so rich. It had so much sauce, the bread fell apart. I paid $30+ to not even finish my food. I am a bit perplexed by this place... First, the parking situation is insane. We went yesterday for lunch in the 1 oclock hour and had to circle quite a few times before getting completely lucky with a spot in the lot right out front, that wasnt numbered. Im guessing the numbered spots are for the businesses in the lot... but the un-numbered spots are very slim. Walking in, we walked right up to the counter to order, no line. I ordered a tuna melt and a small chicken tortilla soup. We found a table outside, sat down, and waited for our food. And waited. And waited. My friend ordered a cheeseburger. Two pretty simple meals. A half hour later, my food was brought out... and we were told we were sitting at a table not allowed for this restaurant. All black furniture belongs to the Inkas restaurant. So we had to move. The tables not for Inkas, have the most uncomfortable chairs that swivel in a weird, awkward way. I had to engage my core to not slide off my chair and keep myself still. Not comfortable at all. My soup came out with my tuna melt, which I would have preferred the soup first. Well, I regress. I would have preferred my soup first, if I liked the soup. It was a chicken vegetable soup, not my definition of chicken tortilla. More like minestrone, with some tortilla strips in a bag on the side. The tuna melt was really good. I subbed Swiss for the cheese, and omitted tomatoes. It was really delicious. $17 plus a $2 tip later, my tuna melt was really over priced, as I didnt even eat the small $4 cup of soup. 30 minutes to receive the food was a bit outrageous as well. I understand fresh, cooked to order food takes time, but this was a bit much when we didnt even wait in a line to order. Probably wont return here unfortunately. I was going in for my annual physical and wanted to pick up a take out before heading to work so that I didn't have to worry about lunch later. Found that this bistro was near by the medical facility I was visiting. I was planning to get a veggie melt but I was too early for their lunch menu. As I was about to leave, one of the chefs said he could make a salad for me instead. Looking at the list, Greek Feta Salad piqued my interest. So, I asked if I could order that without the chicken. Lunch time came, when I brought out my salad, I loved that it's so colorful and everything was so fresh. One of my co-workers was like, wow that looks yummy. I got it to-go but it took a long, long time for the order to be ready. There was nobody in front of me and they were filling a pick up order. Hmm. The burrito comes with sausage but I subbed ham instead because I wasn't a fan of eating huge chunks of sausage within a burrito. They accommodated easily enough, and it was a great decision. However, the rest of the burrito was mediocre. The fancy bacon had tons of flavor but the burrito had to be good too. Everything was semi-bland and the salsa within it was not uniformly spread throughout the burrito, so there were random bites of flavor and random bites of blandness. Alternative music from the 80's blares in the background as the mostly Blizzard Entertainment employees place their order at the front counter. As orders are completed, one of the friendly owners of the establishment calls out patrons by their names and brings their meal to them. Myself and another coworker each ordered a sandwich, and swapped half of our sandwiches with each other. All sandwiches come with great tasting homemade chips, but can be upgraded to fries or tater tots for $2 more. Korean BBQ beef ($10) - This was served on a baguette with Asian slaw, kimchee spread, grilled onions and bulgogi beef. The beef was sweet, tender, and went well with the other ingredients. The sandwich was able to hold everything together, although the beef was dripping with juices. I loved the flavor profile of this sandwich and was pleased with its size. Pastrami Swiss ($10) - Sandwiched between marble rye bread, this sandwich had pastrami, house sauerkraut, and 1000 Island sauce. Although this sandwich tasted good, the quantity of meat was lacking and was substantially smaller than the Korean one. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful here. Breakfast items are served from 8am to 11am and that menu looked equally impressive. For me personally, the Korean BBQ beef sandwich was a winning combination! read more

LOVE this place!!! Decided to try new place to meet some friends and have a business meeting. This place was perfect!! The food was yummy, fresh and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The feel / atmosphere is super chill and inviting. I had the chilequilles and they were good (would like to have more egg on top though). The coffee was outstanding- and hot which is hard to find these days!! I do wish they had a dairy free alternative for coffee but because coffee was super hot mad wip for it You'll wonder where this place is if you're in wrong place because it's located in a business complex- it's so worth it!! It's located in Irvine Oaks Business Park next to a couple other eateries (Inka's - my favorite Peruvian restaurant, Yasai and Quickly). They are open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays. Prices are very reasonable. The interior is simple but welcoming. Several tables are inside and there are plenty of patio tables. Order up front off the butcher paper menu on the wall behind the counter. Your food will be brought to your table. I ordered the french toast with a side of bacon plus a coffee. The coffee is self-serve at the condiment counter. They also have cold brew which they bottle themselves. Other beverages are available in a refrigerated case. My french toast was superb. Made with brioche bread baked fresh that morning and accompanied by a variety of berries and chantilly cream, every bite was to die for. I loved that they added some granola for crunch. Maple syrup is available but I went without it this time to better enjoy the flavors. The thick bacon is maple glazed in-house and spiced up with freshly ground pepper. No matter what you order let me encourage you to get a side of bacon. This was the best bacon I've ever eaten. In case you were skimming over this review and missed that last sentence: This was the BEST BACON I've ever eaten. I'll definitely be back for more bacon. Everyone was very friendly here and I enjoyed talking to the two chefs who own this little eatery. Chef Rumi and Chef Bruce made me feel very welcome. I would return not only for the food but to enjoy seeing them again - they truly enhanced the whole dining experience with their warmth, humor and passion for their food. We came here for lunch recently and it was so yummy! There was a large order called in in front of us, so they employees did alert us that it would be a thirty minute wait because of the large order. They were also sold out of the famous Korean beef sandwich. We opted for a turkey pesto, and the works burger (subbed out the blue cheese for Swiss, which was a great swap!). We also ordered a side of their special bacon, and that was a win! It was like candy bacon YUM! The portion size is large and flavor is awesome. We have lived walking distance to this restaurant for years and didn't even know they existed! Sodas/drinks here are canned right now. I wish we found them sooner or saw them through advertising. They can improve by replacing the potatoes they have into hash brown (on the left) and possibly adding ham. They should definitely tinker with their breakfast burrito as it is not that good. Also, got the turkey melt. To be fair it was pretty good. It's a lil pricey though and nothing really screamed at me as something to go back to this place.
