This is my favorite Thai in Denver. I love the curry panang - just the right amount of spicy.

Terrible Thai that is overpriced with tiny portions. One would assume that it had better be damn good when they give you a teacup size of curry and a miniature ball of rice as a dinner portion, but not the case here. I just assume go to Tommy Thai's where the portions are similarly inadequate, but at least a bit more reasonably priced and tastier. read more

It's clean and classy, but the portions are small and it just doesn't taste very authentic. Not that I really know authentic, but I've eaten a lot of Thai food coming from SF as it's my favorite cuisine, and I just wish this place was better than it actually is. People keep saying that this is really great Thai food and if that's the case, then people don't know what Thai food tastes like. The food here is fine... if you throw a bunch of sriracha on it. We ask for medium spicy, knowing full well what that tastes like, and it's still super mild. If you're going to order anything, I recommend the curries, particularly the green curry. Delicious!!!! Swing Thai has the BEST Thai Iced Tea in Denver! There customer service is outstanding and the food came out hot and tasted fresh. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with Tofu and it was divine. I would check them out if you are interested in authentic Thai food. Enjoy! read more

Very average thai food. Their vegetarian options are limited. They are unable to make any of their noodle dishes vegetarian. Good lemongrass soup. Came here with a large group and we all agreed that the food was fine, but nothing spectacular. read more

Really, this place is just solid. I can't say enough about their thai bbq chicken. It's such an easy go to for a quick dinner. Plus the sauce that they provide is excellent! Everything we order here is quality and whenever we are looking for a quick dinner, we call Swing Thai. Never had bad service or a bad dish. All in all, highly recommend. read more

Parking here at lunch surely does suck and after having had the food for the first time in years, I was reminded why I forgot about this place. The food is decent at best and there is something slightly off in the flavoring. I don't know what it is but am not sure if I'd go back to find out. I had a late lunch here yesterday. I ordered the pad thai with shrimp. It was delivered to the table pretty quickly. There were a decent number of shrimp in the dish, and the noodles were steaming when the plate arrived. I was happy to have a lot of sprouts on top to cool off the noodles. OMG! This deserves a double OMG because it was sooooo good. I love thai, so I like to try different thai restaurants until I find one I know Ill frequent. Well on our way to look for apartments we drove by this place. We went in and it is very cute and the servers are very helpful and overall nice. I was surprised to see that they serve alcohol because usually Thai places dont or just serve wine and beer. I ordered a Mango Mojito which was yummy. I also ordered a Pud Thai (yes spelled p u d) with tofu and veggies. I like that they asked me how spicy I wanted it. I didnt know this place so I just asked for it medium. My husband got the pineapple fried rice with tofu, also medium spicy. Next time Ill order it HOT though. We ordered chilli sauce on the side and it was really very very good, not just spicy but very good flavor. My pud thai tasted different from any pad thai I've had. It had a smoky flavor which I loved, and the tofu was really good. The portion was perfect for me, but my husband wished it had been bigger. Definitely going back there! They deliver too so I guess it depends where we live, but I'll be ordering from Swing Thai!! read more

Not a fan! I hadn't been here in a few years, but remember enjoying it. Well unfortunately no longer. My curry to go meal portion was very small for dinner size and contained hardly any ingredients. I even leveled up and got the shrimp with very few to be had. The spring roll I ordered on the side contained mainly butter lettuce. Have to say it was a pathetic meal and not enjoyable. Terrible. I ordered crab cheese wontons and chicken fried rice and both were terrible. There was very little filling inside the wontons and no flavor to them at all. No flavor to the fried rice, either. I asked for medium spicy and it came with zero spice, no other flavor notable, and even the chicken was very bland. I won't be coming back. read more

Hot curry with chicken is amazing!!! Unfortunately, this is where the good ends. This location is FREEZING. I sat with my winter coat on drinking hot tea, and I was still cold. I heard two other customers sitting at tables within earshot complain to the waiter too. At least apologize for it being so frigid and offer comped tea, so the customers don't experience hypothermia. The restrooms stink, because the drains need to be cleaned. The toilet is loose. No lunch prices. Ridiculous for $16 lunch that only included one of the "cheaper" entrees and hot tea plus tax and tip. I will not return to this location. read more

I'm kind of indifferent about Swing Thai. It's not terrible but it's certainly not at the top of Thai restaurants either. I liked the curry and pud thai that I had there but felt that it should have been more spicy. The servers are nice as is the layout. But the one thing that sticks out with this place is how strong the smells are in there. I first came here after being a Tommy Thai guy. Every time I eat here, it makes me want to cry tears of joy. I am very creature of habit and only order things I know. I always get chicken satay appitizer and massaman curry with chicken. Heres how I describe the curry here. You know how when you are going back home and all you can think about is all the good homecooking your mom makes. That what this curry is to me. WOW! Great THAI service, wonderful Thai Iced Teas and great food! Service is always VERY friendly with a relaxed, yet well decorated atmosphere. Servers are always polite, professional, and typically speak limited English; this does not bother me at all, it's to be expected, IMO. Swing Thai is my go-to "quick and affordable" Dinner in Denver. The Pad Thai is always great and well cooked, the Hot is Hot, but never over the top. The Curry is very good too. Appetizers also always seem to find their way to my table... For the price, atmosphere, and quality, it's very difficult to top. Swing by and try it for yourself. However, I'm not sure I'd order a mixed drink here, I always stick to beer or Thai Iced Tea. Saw the reviews on yelp and thought I will try it but oh was I wrong. Hands down the worst Thai food I have ever tasted. I order chicken yellow curry and pha Thai. My yellow chicken curry had no curry and was just steamed vegetables with a few pieces of chicken. Did I mention the chicken was over cooked. We had the Yellow curry noodles and the Pad Thai. The yellow curry was excellent, the Pad Thai was just ok, being heavily "sauced". Prices were reasonable. I really wanted to like this place since it's 2 blocks from my house. I went for lunch and realized there was no lunch special. It'd be nice at lunch to have a deal that includes a soup or spring roll with your meal. So for lunch, the price was a little high. I ordered a chicken dish and it was an oily mess. If it weren't so oily it would have been great, but all I could taste was oil. I am going to give this place another chance though and check out something different. This is one of the best Thai places in Denver. Their pad thai, curries, and coconut lemongrass soup are outstanding. Few places do a beef satay, but they do to our kids delight.
