I can only vouch for the pad thai. It was the first thing I tried, and it's so good that I can't bring myself to pass up an opportunity to keep ordering it. I order it medium spicy and it's the perfect combo of sweet and spicy - I tend to think pad thai is too sweet at other places. The first time I got it with beef, and I will say the pieces were too large and a bit tough, making it a bit tricky to eat with chopsticks and their heaping plates, but I still totally enjoyed the rest of my meal. Now I stick with the chicken and shrimp pad thai - perfecto! They also have delicious vegetable rolls, and their sweet and sour sauce is like a house made simple syrup, the best S&S I've ever had. And it doesn't hurt that they pile so much onto my plate that I always end up with lunch for the next day. read more

The food was expected good level, but the food portion was definitely less than expected. I was still hungry after. As for the atmosphere, I felt like the restaurant was very smokey, and my clothes was getting drenched in the oil smell. Definitely needed a shower after I got home. read more

Have ordered delivery from here for years. Tonight the shrimp was bad, smelled off, made me sick. I called to let them know. The response was very disappointing. She checked with the chef. "It's fine." she said. I wasn't looking for a refund, but did want to be believed and AT LEAST apologized to. Have been ordering same dish from here for years. BAD shrimp cannot be mistaken. We love Swing Thai - great food with flavor and fire at a very reasonable price. We usually go to the Colorado restaurant, but I've also been to the one on Penn & Alameda, which has a really neat layout. I love the drunken noodles best, but the peanut curry and the fish filet are also very good, and one of my friends swears by the papaya salad (with the shrimp added - which puts it near the top of ST's price list but makes it more of a meal). The decor feels a bit slick, but for the price and the fresh flavors, Swing Thai is a fantastic spot. read more

I often grab take out from Swing Thai while going to or from my job at the VA. Having eaten at all of the shops in the little strip between 8th and 9th on Colorado, this is my favorite. Outstanding! I thought my two dishes were excellent. Pad Thai woon sen and a yellow curry. The staff is incredibly nice. They messed up an order, but quickly fixed it and even threw in the mistakenly prepared dish for free. I have driven by this place a million times and always wanted to check it out. Being gluten free can make things interesting when eating out. One day I got my yelp.com newsletter and it mentioned gluten free fare available here so we decided to check it out. The food was good and the gluten free options were clearly labeled. I've had the best pad thai here so far & I've gone all over the place around Denver... The portions are small, so that's kind of the disappointment, but the food is great... Went here the other night, ordered curry but they said they'd ran out of rice o_O So I see the people next to us, they ordered some curry & they got their plates of rice... wtf I thought, but oh well...... We ordered from Swing Thai last night. It took almost an hour to get it, which would be fine if we were warned, but we weren't. When the delivery driver arrived I asked for two dollars' change. He gave me some attitude, and then flipped through his wallet to show me no singles, as if that was going to sway me to give him more. Then he finally said "I think I have some singles in my car" to which I said okay. You're a delivery driver, you HAVE TO HAVE CHANGE! He huffed and puffed his way back to his car and returned with two bucks, all the while muttering under his breath. For some reason I still gave him that tip; what I should've done is asked for him to get back to his car and give me my remaining money! Half portions, double price, delivery took twice as long as I was quoted, not to mention I only live two blocks away... food was alright at best, chicken was incredibly dry, the red curry was the only Thai red curry I have ever had without coconut milk, employees were rude; both the person who answered the phone as well as the delivery driver.
