My companion and I decided to give this place another chance after an unsatisfactory experience previously. This time we decided there will be no more future visits. Again, it was very unwelcoming. Our waitress was cold and unfriendly, as if she hated being there. When we were told 2 basic dishes--Pad Thai and Pad See Yew could not be made vegetarian, we opted for the Panang Curry which was mediocre and very small in size. The lemongrass soup was good. On our way out I politely suggested to the "manager" in front to offer a vegetarian version of Pad Thai and Pad See Yew and she seemed to indicate by what she said that fish sauce is "vegetarian" and did not seem customer service oriented. My old roommates used to order Take-out from here but I wasn't that impressed back then. After playing Tennis with a friend of mine and working up an appetite, Thai curry was calling our name. I came in with low hopes considering that I used to have a favorite Thai place back home and haven't found a great curry to match up but the Panang curry was DELICIOUS! A perfect amount of spice and coconut milk but I wish it had bamboo shoots and glass noodles although that is probably just personal preference. The fact they have brown rice is a plus as well. Great atmosphere, very relaxing and has a full bar. Food is okay, could use improvement. Too much sugar in the Drunken noodles for my taste.

So gross I could not eat it! The Chicken Panang (which Zi normally love) had the most awful spicy tang to it and was so spicy (in a bad way), it burned all the way down. Then burned all the way up later after it ripped open my gut and gave me acid reflux. Panang can be spicy. But not like this. I cannot describe it Ive never tasted anything quite like it. It was so awful. And the taste itself was so bad. The crab rangoon barely had any crab mixture in it, so it was more like fried dough. The coconut lemongrass soup was just okay. would give 0 stars if I could. walked in there early afternoon in between dinner and lunch time. Firstly, when we walked in and sat at the bar we weren't given the menu at all, just told to wait and that the waiter would be with us in a minute. After 10 mins I finally got myself a couple menus. Honestly there were two people working so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I ordered a lemon grass coconut soup with tofu and crab wontons and my friend ordered dumplings. when the food finally arrived after a very long wait considering the small amount of costumers, my soup had little burnt black things floating in it and smelled burned, like the smell of scraped food off of a grill. My friend's dumplings were extremely small, very little meat and had a very mushy consistency like they had been cooked for too long. I am now experiencing loose stool... in sum, avoid this place like the plague. read more

Hey Swing Thai peeps: Tried you out tonight for the first time. Ordered Drunken Noodles with tofu. What I got was 4 big hunks of tofu (OK, I can deal with that, but usually it ought to be kind of julienned, or diced, or whatever), a tomato that was basically cut in half and thrown on the noodles (when the waiter asked if I wanted chopsticks, I wish I had said "yes" and then acted out a bizarre dance involving chopsticks and a vegetable that was inedible with anything but a knife...which I asked for and the waiter, seeing how strange this tomato thing was, quickly procured and said "They usually cut that"...), and (get this) NO BASIL. I consider myself somewhat of a Thai snob (hey Denver! I'm still waiting for a decent Thai joint other than that cart on the Mall that's only open a couple hours on weekdays!!), but even a neophyte knows that Drunken Noodles need basil. After the tomato debacle, I decided not to engage in a "wink wink" with the otherwise very friendly/borderline obsequious waiter (he bowed after every visit) about the basil (maybe they were out? Oh, that's rich: a Thai place that's out of basil and doesn't tell you? Please.), and left. The Singha was excellent, which is only the thing saving this place from one star. There is a reason why is this is #24 on Yelp's Denver Thai list. Thai Monkey, despite it's own problems, rules this town...and that's not saying much. This is the best Thai food!! I love Thai food ,this place is sooo yummmy!!! One of the best thai places I have eaten at. We order the papaya salad, pad thai and drunken noodles! Compared to other reviews about the curry, I think the noodles are the best thing here, which is the only thing I order anyways. Everything came out so fresh! We could tell it was just made fresh in the back to order. I think this is a family owned restaurant with the whole family working there part to make this place serve the best Thai food. We ordered takeout on a Saturday night. I called from the car and they said ready in 15 min. We got there in about 5 and they were already packing it up for me. Thank god because we had two kids melting down in the car. Major thanks for super fast service. The swing special is amazing. Great service and food and just the right amount of spices. Live in Colorado Springs but try to visit this restaurant whenever I'm in town.

Guess it was just okay. Went with a large group, ordered noodles. While the food was good it was not worth the price/serving size. Tommy's Thai was tastier and the serving size was huge. Despite the large group I felt the employees were not as attentive as they should have been. I had gone to Swing Thai a few times before and enjoyed the food, especially the green curry so as temperatures dropped, I was eager to go back. Not sure if ownership or staff has changed, but we ordered the spring rolls to start and they looked different than in the past....wider but although we ordered the chicken shrimp spring rolls all I tasted was vegetables so I kept thinking rolls in prior visits have been much better. My husband ordered the yellow curry noodles with chicken which was very tasty with nice mix of veggies and the right consistency. I ordered the green curry but it was disappointing....too watery..almost as if they had served it too soon before it had time to cook and reduce itself...the flavor was ok but the portion was significantly smaller than in the past, very little chicken or veggies and huge chunks of mushrooms that looked like potatoes because they were so big. I think I need to find a new Thai spot...any suggestions? read more

went back and ordered a couple of new things and they were AWESOME. my GF had the drunken noodles with chicken and i had the dark curry with beef. my curry had a perfect meat to vegetable ratio and everything tasted very fresh. i'd definitely say this place is comparable to j's noodles and star thai despite the interior being a little sterile. also, both times we've went the service has been extremely accommodating and helpful. we will definitely be back when we want quality thai but don't have the time to make it to federal. read more

My wonderful Monkey Thai was closed when we were in the area, so we thought we'd give this a shot. I ordered my usual Pad Ka Prao they called it something close to that . Sadly, it was just ok. I've definitely had better. It was greasy, and had too many green beans that were hard and icky. I ordered Thai Hot and got some heat but definitely not Thai Hot. What is it with folks? Just because you are afraid of heat doesn't mean I am. If I order Thai Hot, I promise you I've had it before. The waiter was nice but odd. My dad was ill and only wanted 1/2 an order. When I ordered that the waiter went into hysteria saying he wasn't a manager....(implying he couldn't give a discount). Before he had a heart attack I said, we are paying the full price. He calmed right down. geez. Dude. Then he said he'd wrap the other half to go which I thought was a good idea (before I tasted it of course). The musaman Kai (sorry sp?) was much better. I'd go again and order that instead. I did think they were a little heavy on the cinnamon. But otherwise, pretty tasty. It's not bad. They need some training on customer service. The place just seemed lifeless, it was hot and just blah. It makes me sad, because they have a killer location and could make some big bucks. They looked totally clueless. Oh well. The Panang curry was very good, and the food was prepared for take-out quickly despite a full parking lot. The only complaint I have is that there wasn't much chicken in my curry. I stopped in alone last week in the afternoon. They weren't busy at all, and it was wonderful outside so I asked if I could sit out. I absolutely love Panang Curry, so I got the chicken Panang, and their sticky mango cocktail. It was a dark orange, very over seasoned and did not taste like any Panang I've ever had. The veggies were just massive chunks, which was very difficult to eat, and ended up splashing over my clothes, I had to wait almost a half an hour for her to "check on me" FOR THE FIRST TIME, so I could ask for soda water. I was going to ask for more rice since I only got a tiny scoop, but by that time I was done with trying to eat it. The cocktail however, was delicious and prepared wonderful, the bartender knew what he/she was doing and I will definitely go back for alcoholic beverages some other time. So, long story short, felt like I was treated poorly since I was by myself, I honestly think she forgot that I was sitting outside, the Panang Curry is NOT Panang curry, and order extra rice. read more

For an authentic Thai food experience, this is it. The milieu is a tropical Thai coastline with Buddhist symbology and bamboo covered walls. The food is as close to authentic Thai food as I have found in Denver. This is not a chinese/Thai restaurant. All of the noodle dishes are done exceptionally well. The Masaman curry is another favorite. Wait staff is courteous and affable. There is nothing I would say negative about this restaurant, except that I wish some of the waitresses were less attractive. It's very distracting. read more

Best place to get Pad Thai that I've found in the Denver area. I've tried several places and while this one cost a little more per size of entree the taste can't be beat. I haven't tried anything else on the menu. I prefer my pad thai spicy and here you can order just that way. I drive out of my way to go here when I have a pad thai craving. read more

I think they just forgot to put a sauce on my dish... My bfs plate was good but I just couldn't eat much of it cuz it was the spicy.
