Sybils's was incredibly welcoming and spotless. Our waitress was kind, friendly, and made us feel right at home. I love that all of their beef comes straight from the owner's farm, it really showed in the quality of our meals. The fajita quesadilla special with chips and queso was absolutely delicious and a huge portion, I even had leftovers for supper! My friend ordered the burger special with fries and said it was just as great. We'll definitely be back, we are wanting to try their supper! This place has amazing food and wonderful service. Alexis was polite and brought a mountain on coffee creamer and butter when requested. Husband had the sausage omelette with plenty of meat. I had the bacon (crispy not burnt) and eggs with one pancake. All the food was flavorful and hot. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Highly recommend this local diner for breakfast. Me and my girlfriend were looking for a local place due to the snow and decided to eat at Sybil's. The service was immaculate, the lady was nice and caring. It's a nice small diner vibe, not overly modern, but also not dated. They run a lot of specials. My girlfriend got their Steak sandwich, and I got the Chicken and Waffle fries. For the price the food was amazing. Maybe the best steak sandwich I've ever had. The chicken was good, nothing life changing but the waffle fries? I've never had fries like that before in my life and they were so delicious. Me and my girlfriend decided before we even finished our meal that we are gonna come back once a month and try everything over time. Oh also like 10 cops were eating there, so if the towns police force chose to eat there, that also must mean it's pretty good. read more

Ok here we go, new restaurant and our first visit. Service, let's just say spectacular!!! Yes they were busy, but all the servers helped each other and assisted each table. We even had a visit from two of the people cooking who had been cooking in the kitchen. Unbelievably rare to have a cook or chef check on the food, and times the food was great! The ribeye sandwich was fantastic, but my favorite was the chicken fried steak. They even had a chicken and waffle variation that was really delicious. This is a small town country diner. Felt incredibly welcoming and the decorations were not overdone, just felt so natural. Beautiful bar top counter seating, as well as tables. Nothing to say but positive things about this restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are beyond generous. I am a bit of a picky person , but I was impressed at everything this place does. Thankfully I live nearby, because this will be at least a once a week stop for my family. If the staff sees this, thank you and great job! read more

Today, July 4th I tried the new Diner in town, Sybil's. I saw an advertisement for their special hamburger deal celebrating the Fourth of July. I'm going to do my best to be gracious to a newly opened restaurant in my hometown. I know all Piedmont residents are happy to have a new eatery but I will be honest about my experience as well. First off the dining room is inviting enough with several tables and a diner style counter. The staff was attentive and the price seemed reasonable. I ordered to go and made it as simple as possible, cheeseburger and fries that they had advertised as their special. I got my food pretty quickly and after some confusion paying, went to my car (on my way to work) ready to chow down. First thing I noticed was that I got the sorriest excuse for an order of fries I've received anywhere. There were about 6 full fries and a bunch of little pieces of fries that equalled about a palm full. I then opened my burger and it had zero anything on it, including cheese. Just a patty and a cheap bun. And it was cold. I'm not sure if I got someone else's order or what but I went back in with the burger and the server said she'd make it right. To their credit they fixed my order quickly and even gave me a new order of fries, which I had not mentioned to them. I thought this was a thoughtful gesture as my old fries ( the sad little order of them that I got) had been sitting getting cold in the car. It was nice to see them give me a fresh order. Nice touch. Now that I ha my new order and was driving I could dive in and try Sybil's on the way to work. I have to say the burger was just ok. While it was a pretty decent quality of beef it was fairly flavorless, even with cheese. The bun is a basic bun and pretty meh. And while they didn't advertise anything more than a burger patty and cheese, there were no fixins, including a lack of condiments or even a few packets in the bag. To me there really isn't a burger that isn't at least decent but this was definitely on the non-descript side of things as opposed to something really good. It was pretty flavorless. And while my fries were now hot, they were certainly not my cup of tea. I will chalk that up to preference and individual taste, but that style of soggy fry whether is hot or not is just not my style. While I was waiting I saw some others who had onion rings and they looked really good, so maybe I should have went that route. I'm still excited to go in and try their breakfast at some point but I don't know why in a diner setting you would choose to stop serving breakfast at 10:30 in this day and age. I'm always looking for somewhere to have a solid breakfast close to home so I hope it's a better experience than my lunch (although from the restaurants own mouth their breakfast gravy is not made from scratch which again makes ZERO sense to me. It's a little protein, milk and flour how hard or expensive can it be?). So I write this being as gracious as I can be and am trying to point out some of the positives in an otherwise mediocre lunch experience. We went for dinner, bride was craving a cheeseburger, and we were wowed. The first thing I noticed when we walked in was the smell of "clean". Everything was immaculate and well decorated. We both ordered cheeseburgers, I got fries, she got onion rings. Burgers were perfectly cooked and juicy, fries were amazing, I don't like onion rings, but my bride loved them. Staff was friendly and fun, plus there was prostitution arrest next door at the massage place, so we got dinner and a show!!! I will definitely go back, can't wait to try the breakfast. read more
