Croutons. Excellent! You can't eat just one.

Dinner with friends Wednesday night at Michaels. I find it hard to believe that their average rating is not higher. I have never had a bad meal or experience at Michaels. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. My only fault with the menu is they don't offer eggplant parmsean, my favorite Italian dish. They have a nice wine list and I love the bar. We started with a dozen grilled shrimp. They were very good. We also ordered humus with pita chips, also very good. Three of us ordered ceasar salads, one ordered potato leak soup. The Ceasars were good but a little strong on the garlic. The soup was excellent. Our mains consisted of Lobster Mac, Veal Paccatta, Lasagna, and Beef Stroganoff. I loved my Lobster Mac. My wife enjoyed her Veal, the Lasagna and Beef Stroganoff were excellent. To finish we shared a cream burlee. The service and our server were excellent. It was a great night, and dining experience.

Overall the meal was good. The crab cakes were excellent and the steak was tender. Service was good. Restaurant is dark, nicer than expected for a strip mall for sure. Would be good for a date night but is a little higher priced than expected and not quite on par with Ranch or Mahogany. I would definitely go again but wouldnt be my first choice at this price point.

Michaels was pretty expensive (over $200 for 2 people) but worth IT! The service was fast, but a little slow to get our check. There wasn't much parking by the restaurant, so we had to walk a little bit. We walked in with no reservation around 6:30 and were seated right away. The Chicken Piccata was really good and our favorite dish. The Chicken Parm was good, but not worth $45. The dessert was of course the best part - we got the Chocolate Gateau and Apple Pie Ala Mode. Will definitely be returning again!

    Brandy Ice is heaven!!

We absolutely love this place. This was our second time there in a month and half and we are going again. So basically 3 times in 2 months. My husband had the lamb chops the first time and he was hooked. The next time he had the scallops and was even more hooked. The Caesar salad is delicious and the grilled shrimp appetizer is a must. Also, don't forget to indulge yourself with a brandy ice for dessert. Amazing service both times.

My (often picky and always opinionated) husband of nearly thirty years LOVED his Chicken Marsala, but I had, alas, already eaten earlier that day and so, uh, consoled myself with (yum!) a very pleasant (i.e., rich, creamy, and perfectly prepared) crème brûlée. Our dinner partners enjoyed shrimp and salad. White glove service from start to finish. Beautiful bar!

Very fun around the bar and a proper experience in dining. The Cesar salad and the KC strip are class.

Just don't go here…read more I've lived here for 5 years and by far the worst restaurant experience I have had in Oklahoma, and if you see my other reviews I'm pretty forgiving and tend to give spots the benefit of the doubt. This is a place worth an absolute flaming of a review.... But they already wasted enough of my time and energy today so I'll just summarize. No management on scene, no hostess, one server, two bartenders and a restaurant at 50% capacity on Mother's Day at 1 p.m. From walking in to having our orders taken, 30 minutes. 45 minutes later our order of roasted vegetable salad, steak eggs Benedict, and sourdough toast arrived. Salad was very well burnt but my mom was trying to be nice and didn't want to walk out. Eggs Benedict came out with two eggs boiled through, a hollandaise sauce with a sour smell and cold steak. I didn't eat it and no one seemed to notice, had it removed from my bill easy enough, but again zero F's given and no management showed daylight. Wife's toast actually arrived 5 minutes after the 'rest' of the food and the only thing hot and delicious. Toast here is $11, so there's that. No one cares here. From the health violations and poor food safety I saw in the kitchen, the multiple tables I witnessed sending back food to the multiple parties puzzled as to why they weren't being sat or once they were entirely ignored... it was so wildly bad I was embarrassed for everyone else having the same experience. Again, don't go.

It's so much larger and open. The bar is good size as well. We sat upstairs and loved being able to take in all that was happening, bartender, chef, staff it was great. Our food was amazing! The salad was simple but delicious, steaks were bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was a little dry for my liking but was good. Our drinks were unique and very good but the show stopper was dessert .... The bread pudding! I've never had anything as good. Raven has mastered bread pudding. It takes 20 mins so order it early on.

Redrock Canyon Grill - Lake Hefner…read more First visit--and I can confidently say this place just earned a spot in our regular date night rotation. We walked in to a packed house, which is always a good sign, but were seated immediately. From there, the experience never missed a beat. Beverly took care of us and was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaged. You can tell when someone enjoys what they do, and it shows. We started with margaritas, and when Beverly said they were "perfect," she wasn't overselling it. Smooth, well-balanced, and served ice cold. We're both olive fans, so of course we asked for extras--and they delivered without hesitation. Going in, we made a deal: appetizers or dessert--not both. After hearing about the pineapple upside-down cake with vanilla ice cream, that decision was made pretty quickly. For the main course, Beverly walked us through the menu and the weekly specials: * Rainbow trout with roasted peppers and cucumber salad * 14 oz peppercorn crusted steak with mashed potatoes, broccoli & parmesan I know my wife--steak was the obvious choice for her. I went with the trout. Both dishes were excellent. The trout was cooked perfectly with a light, flavorful sauce that didn't overpower the fish, and the vegetables were fresh and well-prepared. The steak was cooked just right, full of flavor, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes and broccoli finished with parmesan. What really elevated the night was the hospitality. Kirsten, the manager, stopped by to check on us and took the time to have a genuine conversation. She shared details about patio seating and upcoming live music nights, which we're already planning to come back for. Then came a surprise--she graciously covered our dessert. A classy move that didn't go unnoticed. And that pineapple upside-down cake? Warm, soft, topped with melting vanilla ice cream... absolutely worth skipping the appetizers for. The Bottom Line: Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed but polished atmosphere right on Lake Hefner. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, this is the kind of place that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend for a date night or a nice evening out.

All secondary roads are still snow packed so at 11:30 there was only one other couple in the restrauant. The Press is in an old (1920's ?) repourposed building. The interior is comfortable, charming and a bit whimsical. We started with an order of cheese sticks. They were very good and large. I liked that the cheese sticks did not have Italian seasoning in the breading. Jan ordered the chicken fried ribeye with mashed potatoes, cream gravey and green beans. Jan loved it. I took a bite of the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. The green beans were very good. They were loaded with garlic, which I love, but if you're not a garlic fan, I would suggest another side. I ordered the grilled chicked sandwich with waffle fries. Because I would genuinely go back just for that. I kept telling myself "one more piece" and then suddenly half the basket was gone. The only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because the wait for our food felt a little longer than expected. Nothing crazy, but by the time it arrived, we were definitely checking the kitchen door every few minutes lol. Other than that, everything was great.
