I was quoted an hour wait time, but Diego came within 20 minutes of me calling. He was quick, efficient, professional, and even checked the air on all of my other tires to make sure that there wasn't a slow leak in the rest of them. It's got a flavor of old school gas stations where a swarm of men would surround like you see in old school movies. Very friendly staff. There can be a line though as they can have very competitive prices. Another plus! Oh and free air! Sweet! There is a service station as well that does oil changes and other auto repair. They have a AAA tow truck service out of the location as well. A couple years ago my car died at an intersection near the shop and one of their tow truck drivers stopped and got me and the car out of the middle of the road and to the service station. I've always been very happy with their service as well. Bill is great as are the other mechanics I've dealt with.

And I wouldn´t have EVER stopped here in a million years if I hadn´t been in the area and didn´t need to use my Stop&Shop points, which are valid to use at any Stop&Shop station (the closest to here being in Brookline, which I was NOT willing to go all the way to), or any Shell. As there are 3 Shell stations in Waltham (2 on Main St and one on Waverly Oak Rd), I found the closest one to The Chateau, where I was ultimately going to as well as some other stops throughout the City of Waltham, and decided this location, close to Watertown was the best. The only complain I have about this gas station is the access points. Driving from Route 20 West, it is difficult to enter and only accessible by turning left at the following traffic light and turning left into the small entrance, which is normally bombarded by cars. Exiting is much easier (onto either Warren Street or Barbara Rd). Service inside is friendly and understandable (not people who can´t speak English!). Prices are good and even better if you use your Stop&Shop card. In comparison to other reviews for the other station, this one is MUCH better. 5 stars.

After finding a screw in my tire, I took my car to Sullivan's, as it was where I'd bought tires before, and they told me a repair wasn't possible. I didn't really believe that since the screw was in the tread. So I asked a good friend if they knew a good mechanic and she referred me here and said it was the only place they went for such things. I was already in the car, so I just stopped in to see if they thought it was fixable. Rob came out, took a look at it and then disappeared into the shop. He came out with a little toolkit and repaired my tire right in the parking lot. Then he told me to back up so he could put air in the tire. When I asked him what I owed him, he said, 'no charge.' I'll be back. And thank you, Rob! Should've come here in the first place!

However, that changed last night when I was approached by a solicitor from Inspire Clean Energy in the dark while I was alone and trying to fill up my car. I was tired and taken so off-guard, and for the first few minutes of the interaction, I was trying to figure out if the man was legit or if he was about to rob me. He was extremely persistent in asking me which gas company I used and what my billing account number for the company was, pressuring me to look up the information on my phone. When I told him that I didn't have that information on my phone, he tried to pressure me to open my email to search for the info there. When I called the Shell station this morning to let them know what was happening to customers outside at the pumps, the manager told me that Inspire is owned by Shell and that these salesmen are authorized to be there. As a female filling up her car alone at night, this was honestly a pretty scary experience for me, and I am leaving this review so that others are aware of what they can expect if they choose to buy gas at this (and possibly any) Shell station. I have heard that Inspire salespeople are also pestering people at BJs, so be aware when you shop there as well.

They first closed the door on my face while I was talking to them. Once they finished, he just said "It's 35 dollars", so I took out my debit card, and he said "only cash". I don't like that they say that after serving, I was lucky that I had cash, but I even told him that they should say that at the beginning. He argued that there was a sign on the front of the garage. Ok, I paid in cash and went outside and hardly found the small sign within some other big signs. I went into my car, and I saw that the inspection was rejected... They didn't tell me anything about it! They usually repair what they need, or something. One light wasn't working and something with the exhaust. I went back into the place to ask about that, but he wasn't very helpful or nice, again. Nasty experience at something that could be done anywhere! It doesn't worth.
