Really nice place tucked away near the Delaware Water Gap NJ border. This is on the PA side and has a large parking lot in the back. Nice bar with a nice selection of alcohol. There is also a Yelp deal you get get when you check in for a free domestic beer if you're ordering food. I love me some wings but always worried they don't meet my standard. Of course every server will tell you they're great. I tried the wings and they are fantastic, great seasoning and great spicy sauce. They came with two sides of blue cheese and I also asked for extra sauce. Sitting at the bar. It was not overly noisy and was easy to hold a conversation with someone. The bartender was super nice and very tentative. I would recommend give this restaurant a try. I've heard from others that the food a decent here. I'm so glad that we decided to come here. I was a little suspicious due to other reviews on yelp, but every dish we got were so delicious and exceeding expectation. We got the crab cake, grilled chicken caser salad, buffalo garlic wings and beef sliders. When we finally got our dinners after 8:00( we did not have an app, only side salad), place was almost empty. Makes no sense: as restaurant emptied out production from kitchen fell lower. I suggest you ask if Head Chef is working: if not, hold off until he is. Back to our food: cold, lacking flavor. I had a daily special: carbonara, with added shrimp. It was supposed to be with creamy parmesan sauce: only fair. Wife had chicken marsala dish: sauce was good but dish needed spices for flavor. Also cold. Nice atmosphere and decor. Along with no Head Chef, was there a manager on this evening? At our first visit here 18 months ago food and experience was excellent. Wow, very disappointed in this place. The service was absolutely horrendous. Our waitress had our table of 2 and one larger party and was so focused on tending to the larger table she forgot about it on multiple occasions. Not to mention overpriced for mediocre food. My friends and I went away for the weekend and needed a place for dinner on Saturday night. A local recommended this restaurant. We arrived for our 7:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Our waitress was Rachel and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was extremely friendly and answered all our questions. Myself as well as my friend asked for a light margarita. She asked her manager if she could make it for us. Lindsay ( the manager/owner) came over to our table to ask for specifics on how we would like it made. It was perfect. Our meals ranged from scallops to risotto and crab cakes. All meals were delicious. Everyone was very happy. Desert was fabulous as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. Ate here last Sunday to celebrate my mum's birthday. Callled ahead because she has dietary issues. The hostess was very helpful - even called back about concern. She was very polite on the phone. In person, not pleasant at all. We were seated by ourselves in one area. A group of 4 men came in after us and were pleasantly greeted and seated in the main area with everyone else. My niece, who has worked in the restaurant industry for several years and has been racially discriminated against, felt this was the issue. Our server didn't bring any bread for the table. We had to ask for it after seeing other tables being served. Appetizer plates weren't cleared from the table when main course came out, even though they were empty. My mum ordered a steak and had to ask for steak knife when her steak was brought out. Our server didn't check on how we were doing or if we needed refills for drinks. She eventually came over when we were done with our meal and asked if everything was ok. She asked if we needed boxes. We said we needed two. Only brought one. Perhaps she didn't hear us. She brought the check, which was the wrong check. We were a party of three, the check was for a party of four. She did apologize for the check mishap. Didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. Again, when I made reservation, I noted we were celebrating a birthday. Food was awesome. Service not awesome at all. We addressed our concerns to someone we thought was a manager who told us to call Lindsey (owner?) on Wednesday. Called and left a message for her to call me back. My mum has also called. Neither of us have heard from Lindsey to date hence this review. We are residents of the area for over 30+ years and have frequented many local restaurants. I also work in NYC and have traveled the world extensively. I've eaten in Michelin star restaurants as well as holes in the wall and have never experienced this type of service. Very disappointed with the service and meals Overcooked calamari, overcooked prime rib (and this was the special). Sides were cold, server forgot the extra place setting we requested. Didn't bother to return once we received our meals. Glasses went empty and we had to ask for drinks. We will not be returning nor would I recommend to anyone else. With the prices they charge you're better off going to Garlic in Stroudsburg. Better quality in meat cuts (and cooked to perfection) and excellent service with knowledgeable waIt staff. read more

Very disappointed. I didn't have many choices in this small town and I decided to come to this place. Bad choice. I got some salad for appetizer and the vegetables were extremely dry and not fresh. The grilled teriyaki salmon I got was so bad. My salmon was burnt and it was really dry inside. It was not seasoned enough and I didn't want to continue eating it. The rice on the side was just okay. A little bit undercooked.. Risotto primavera was huge comparing to the price and it was better than my salmon dish. The pesto sauce went well with risotto. Striped sea bass was my favorite. I was really looking forward to sea food, however as it was 3:30 and their dinner menu didn't start till 4pm, I had to settle for what they offered for lunch which was all fried sea food items. I was not too thrilled about that. I ordered the crab cakes sandwhich and was disappointed . There was not enough crab meat for the bun they put it on, and the crabcake was flat amd extremely crunchy. I enjoyed the fries more , those were perfect! read more

Valentine's Day -- Ordered pan seared snapper with broccolini hold the rice (I'm Keto). Serves with rice. I asked for it to be replated without rice. Brought back with the grease slick where rice was slid off the plate. Whatever. I tried to cut into my fish which was so overdone I couldn't break the surface. It was supposed to have crispy skin but it looked boiled. Turned it over (I can live without the skin... same thing) bottoms just as over done and boiled looking. Sent it back, ordered Ribeye instead. Waited 20-25 minutes for my steak while watching my husband eat his pasta (which I can't have). Very nice waitress apologized multiple times and assured me it was coming right out, but this had no bearing on getting my food any sooner and I was HUNGRY. 1/2" thick ribeye comes out, very fatty but small deck of cards area of steak was edible. Manager of some sort brought me the steak and says I'm sorry you didn't care for the fish. I corrected her that I love fish but that fish was inedible. I told her that I wouldn't even try it. I also complained that it took so long for my te-fire. She said it takes awhile to cook a steak. I corrected her that it takes a few minutes to cook a mid rare 1/2" Steak. She then told me that there were a lot of tickets ahead of mine. I responded, don't you do a re-fire prior to new tables. She said they're busy... REALLY? She said she'll talk to AJ like I'm supposed to know who AJ is. After I was almost done eating as my husband now got to watch me eat, very nice waitress comes over with a big smile to offer me FREE DESSERT! I asked what Keto friendly desserts they have. Uh... I stopped here after hiking the Delaware water gap and this spot has some really good food! First of all it's a 2 min drive from the hiking spot which is perfect when you're hungry after hiking. I got the Cajun Caesar wrap and it was very good and flavorful. I'm usually not a fan of wraps but this one was very good. I have acid reflux so I typically need to eat foods that aren't too spicy or greasy. This was perfect. I def recommend coming here whether you're in the area or just finished a hike. read more

It was our last day in the Camelback/Great Wolf Lodge area on a Saturday night. Every place we checked had at least an hour wait. We started on our way east figuring we'd find something on the way home. Called this place, about 10 minutes away. They could take us right away. If that makes you pause, don't be worried. This place is in an area without much traffic and it looks to be a local's secret, but it's 3 minutes from route 80. The food was good! We were starving, so I got the bread basket for 3 bucks. The bread was something we could pick up as Italian bread at the supermarket, and there wasn't much of it, but the whipped sweetened butter was divine. We started with soups. The seafood bisque was good, not 5 star, they used imitation crabmeat, but good. The french onion soup was so cheesey that if you hooked a spoon into it, you'd pull out a string of cheese 2-1/2 feet long! I consider that a wondrous beautiful thing. I'd been craving fries for 2 days, so I got the crabcakes basket. Fries are lightly battered, i'm not really into that, but they were crispy, and probably really good if you like them battered. The crabcakes were LUMP CRABMEAT (if they were breadcrumb cakes with a few little strings of crab, I would leave a bitter scathing review) Only one small patty on a brioche bun, but it didn't break the bank. I got a little cup of their maple poppy seed dipping sauce for dipping fries and anything else upon seeing another review from yelp, it was delicious! They also sell it in a Mason jar for $7.50. Husband got the new york strip, it was perfectly done, the potatoes au gratin were creamy, and the vegetables were crisp tender. The staff was friendly and attentive, shout out to AJ, she was very sweet and helpful. Definitely will try to get back here again. I'd like to try the scallops with crabmeat next time. Loved the atmosphere and the feeling that it was more of a locals establishment and not a tourist trap. The food was amazing! I had the black bean burger and polenta cake. As a vegetarian I've had my fair share of veggie burgers but this was definitely a unique spin on it. My mom had the crab cake sandwich which she said was amazing too. Kids menu had large portions. Additionally we split an order of sweet potato fries. Hot, crispy and that maple poppyseed dressing...wow! read more

The calamari was really fresh, the Brie and fig appetizer was really tasty, and the entree's were all really good! The food was different than any other restaurant I've been to in that it tasted really home made. Overall an excellent choice for this part of town. Food is always great here. Service experience was not great during our last visit. We waited several minutes at hostess stand to finally get seated. While the restaurant was nearly empty they sat us as close as possible to the only other people at the bar. Waitress dropped a portion of my wedge salad on floor while bringing out and played it off saying, oh it's just a little piece, you don't kind do you? I don't that she made an mistake, it happens, I do mind that they wouldn't just immediately replace my salad for a full one. I didn't order half a salad, so why wouldn't I mind if you didn't bring me a whole salad? And then later in meal the waitress yells over from behind the bar - you guys doing okay? After a day visiting wife's relatives in Hazleton Area, we made the ride back to NJ. Before we crossed the gap, we stopped at Sycamore Grill for a bite to eat. Ample parking, nice open space. The dining room is very nice, and tables are spaced appropriately. After looking at menus for a bit we ordered a wine and craft beer. If I had one suggestion for SG it's to list available craft beers (on draft) on an easy to read menu. Other than that, all good. Since it was late Sunday afternoon and we had an hour drive ahead we went pretty light. We split the Scallop scampi appetizer. It featured bay scallops, which was a nice surprise, particularly since we were sharing. For mains, my wife had the Crabcake sandwich with sweet potato fries. She declared they were the best SP fries she had ever had. I opted for a Philly Steak, which was really good. The regular fries on side were cooked through, which I appreciated. Our server was a very nice young lady, I'm sorry I don't remember her name. She was incredibly nice, very attentive and her demeanor was very much appreciated. I understand the limited menu. I get the limited capacity. I don't get the fact that when you order something you don't get the normal courtesies. For instance my husband ordered ribs ( a bar special even though there is no bar). He was not asked if he wanted a full or half. He was not asked if he would like a salad or extra side as it did not come with and I ordered a meal that came with a salad. I don't like the room, the sound carries so badly it was annoying. My meal wasn't great either. I ordered Chesapeake chicken and shrimp. The shrimp were so small I couldn't find them at first. Then realized the tiny less than 1cm rounds in the sauce were shrimp. For $27.00 I should have gotten normal sized shrimp. I'll go back when the front is open and back to normal. But not until then. The good thing is you can still upgrade to a sweet sycamore salad read more
