My boyfriend and I have been on vacation in Boca since Saturday. We've had the hardest time finding good, local, breakfast spots. Amazing breakfast, strawberry and whip cream crepes are to die for. My boyfriend got the corned beef-hash with 2 eggs and home fries well done. Excellent service, friendly staff and food cooked with love. We just ate at this cafe and while the food was good and we were able to sit down right away and order our breakfast.it took 45 minutes to get an order of eggs and and Eggs Benedict. There were only 15 tables. When we asked for a discount off the bill because we had to wait so long. The owner proceeded to scream and yell at us in front of all the customers and wait staff. He told us not to return to his restaurant.....don't worry we won't be coming back. I am still in shock that a small business owner would yell at a customer. My husband and I own a small business and know how important good customer service is in today's competitive market place. read more

I have been going to Sylvains for over years and it is always consistent and delicious. The menu is all of the classics you would expect to find at your favorite diner. The owner is especially polite and inviting. He cooks in a open kitchen. You can see him and the other kitchen staff cooking every thing to order. You definitely get a meal and a show. This was my very first time here & the only reason I had agreed to come was to have a nice breakfast with my family. After getting our drinks from one waitress, & then a different waitress coming to take our order we were waiting about 10 min to get our order taken. Both of my parents had wanted a refill for their DECAF coffee. First she brings regular & then says "oh wait you wanted decaf" we had to wait an extra 10 minutes because she said she had to make fresh coffee. They were not busy at all so I don't understand why it took 10 minutes for fresh coffee it only takes about 4 min. I had got the diced ham & eggs with hash browns & got a plain bagel with cream cheese. My Mom who is elder had ordered a sandwich with only bacon & egg NO CHEESE which we had told the waitress. After waiting about 15 min for our food which was a reasonable time to wait (I am a waitress at a steakhouse so I know) there was a black HAIR in my food. I told the waitress she apologized & made me another order of my food fresh. Then my mother notices that she has cheese on her sandwich when she said no cheese. This was a very disappointing visit & I will not be returning. Absolutely very poor service. read more

Enjoyed two great breakfasts here during our vacation. My omelette was great, loved the hash browns and was pleasantly surprised by the wheat toast, which I was told comes from a bakery. Kids had pancakes and crepes and loved them. Added bonus of fun music playing, just loud enough to hear but not too loud to disrupt conversation. Nice place! read more

Portions are extremely small. Food quality is average at best. Servers are deceitful. Had much better food and service at a recent visit to Denny's. Ordered corned beef hash. Asked if it was out of a can or fresh? The waitress said it was out of a can, but they could make it fresh. I said I'll take it if it's fresh. I ordered 2 poached eggs with it. The food came out and I could immediately tell the cb hash was from a can. I asked the waitress and she said it was supposed to be fresh. She asked if I wanted something else, but I didn't feel like waiting so I said I'd just eat it. She came back a few minutes later and said the chef was going to make one fresh. I had already eaten my eggs before she came back which the yolks were all out of them. Another waitress already brought the bill before I got the new cb hash. Our waitress came and took the bill and said she had to change something. When we got the bill back we saw she added $3 to the bill for the cb hash without ever saying it would be more for the fresh cb hash. If she would have said something at the beginning it would have been fine, however, after the food being made wrong and having to wait and then her to just change the bill without saying anything was horrible customer service. My fiance had the super slam which was super small. 4 small home fries, runny poached eggs, 1.5 slices of thin tasteless french toast and 3 small, limp pieces of bacon. There are way too many other choices around here that have much better food quality, portions, and service. I had high hopes after reading the good reviews. Don't waste your money. read more

Everyone in my family likes Sylvain's and we are a diverse (fussy) group. Excellent specials every day and his soups are always great. Everything is homemade and fresh. I love this place! The service was excellent!! You're greeted as soon as you come in. The staff was more than accommodating. We sat outside and eat, yet the service was still spot on. You never felt like the wait staff forgot about you. The portions of the food was more than enough. I prefer this place than any other place by the strip. This is the type of place you come back from vacation and tell all your friends and family about it. We went there twice and would go more if we had found it earlier in our trip!!! read more

First time here. Friend and I had breakfast and we both had crepes. He had the ham and cheese crepes and I had the mushroom crepes minus the cheese (I am one of the few people who hates cheese). Both dishes came with hash browns (yum). Good size crepe as we only ate half and took home the other half. Decent prices too. One suggestion and this has nothing to do with the rating: put some artwork on that one empty wall. There are also tables outside which is nice. read more

This is amongst the greatest experiences I've had with any restaurant or eatery. They sent me two wrong egg sandwiches. I was upset at first because I nearly missed my meeting with my boss, however, they were very apologetic and understanding. I called them back and they sent me 7 free bacon egg and cheeses along with a $50 Amazon gift card. I was looking at an earlier review by an "Adrien Pierce" who had quite the opposite experience. I am perplexed on whether Adrien and I went to the same restaurant. I hope everyone gets to experience this amazing food. read more

This was the best breakfast I had in a long time. Fabulous. I ordered the corned beef omelette with grits. The corned beef was sliced thin and piled high. Awesome. The grits were delicious - almost like dessert. We ordered crepes to go - can't wait to eat them later!
