Great bread pudding & greater French toast. Visited @ noon w/ out puppy. Server brought H2O for dog first + fast. It was a typical S.FL August day ( 90* + sticky) but fan delivered a breeze. Outdoor tables are well worn but didn't wobble‼

This is a local place with great food and people. I tried their smoked salmon Benedict with home fries and poached eggs. It was delicious and house fries were a winner too. Everyone was friendly. Joanne specifically was very nice and friendly and made the one of the most delicious smoke salmon Benedict. Indoor seating available with open kitchen- everything happening in front of you. Ambiance is welcoming. Parking available in front of the cafe.

1/4 of the steak was fat, and had to send back the rest to cook more. Seemed like a frozen steak.

Went here on a Sunday @1100, very busy.. the staff are not nice number one.. they're very passive aggressive, and I understand it's busy, but the way we were greeted and rushed out was not pleasant. Being here the first time will be my last... The food was at best mid.. steak and eggs not a good choice..grits were dry....crepes were edible, steer away from the lox.. the coffee was good... the 2 eggs and toast were good..just wish the service was as good as the coffee. Usually hole in the wall restaurants come out on top.. but this place is just that!

Small, noisy but delicious! Best breakfast and lunch place! Have been here a few times never disappointed. Lots of daily specials my favorite the salmon plate. Service very personable!

It was recommended as a good me as a good, local breakfast spot. I liked the menu. It had plenty of breakfast items. I found the portions a good size. The coffee good and the food good. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. Those biscuits tasted great. The Parisian Crepes tasted great. I loved those home fries. They were well seasoned and tasted great. It was a small cafe. It had an outdoor sitting area. Inside is small. They have the specials posted on a wall. The kitchen was an open kitchen. You can see them preparing things. That was cool. The food service was fast. The Cafe is towards the east side of a strip mall with plenty of parking around. I had not problems finding it. The place does get busy.

I have shared a review of this place before but it deserves a second one! This is the best cafe there is at The Cove plaza. Their food is amazing, super fresh, the staff is very friendly and I love sitting outside and people watching. It's a must come when at The Cove plaza!

Great breakfast spot! We were docked at the Marina for a few days and ate breakfast here for most of them. The food was tasty, quickly prepared, nice size portions, and the service was fantastic. I loved that we could dine outside and enjoy the weather. Definitely recommend for a good breakfast.

Along with other good restaurants and shops located in the Cove shopping center in Deerfield Beach, I found the food at Sylvia's Cafe quite good with a large selection to choose from, including crepes. The inside and outside tables, clean and seasonally decorated interior were all appreciated. The service, however wasn't the best as the hostess and the waiters weren't too cheery. Since this was a first visit, I'd like to think it was a one-time thing. Other than that, Sylvains is a good breakfast cafe that's worth trying.

Service: like you're eating at home. Food comes out super fast. Crab Cake Eggs Benedict: *Disclaimer: We ordered with fried hard eggs, not the typical poached. The crab cake was fantastic. We scooped up the hollandaise sauce with the bread. And for $14.99? Great price for a great dish. Would order this again! Philly Cheese Steak Omelette: Good. I could have used more cheese, but my husband thought it was phenomenal. He even reheated the rest of it & devoured it when we got home. I personally would not order it again, with the other amazing items on the menu. HomeFries: I did not like these at all. They were too squishy and tomatoey and had an odd spice mix on top of them. I am used to home fries being fried on the outside and soft on the inside. Hashbrowns: Delicious. Crispy on top and soft on the bottom. French Toast: Absolutely fluffy, with the perfect amount of powdered sugar. There was no fried egg on the toast, like some restaurants that use more egg than anything else. Would order this again! Grand Slam: Canadian ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, and home fries. Great ham slice. Great bacon. The bacon/sausage was not cooked to my grandmother's liking & the server had no issues taking it back to be fired up again. -Only con: I ordered a biscuit and it did not receive it. Funny enough, I did not even remember until I was on the highway driving home. We will be back! $50 for 3 people to eat a lovely Sunday brunch.

Such a cute little diner. Absolutely amazing French toast. Slice of old school Americana in every bite here. It's small and gets busy so be willing to wait, but rest assured the wait is worth it. In the words of the Terminator. "I'll be back".

Seemed like every customer that walked in knew and loved her. Only a few small tables inside with additional counter bartop seating and two optional outside patio tables but way too hot today for that experience although does provide a long view of Mizner Park across the street. The decor was strong bohemian themed with hanging plant ladders and even a blue vintage pay phone although no dial tone. The visually appealing space created a relaxed but fun atmosphere. Kylie brewed us a double espresso presented in a mini porcelain cup rather than the boring paper cup. Very strong coffee with a nice nutty aroma. The choices for a pastry was thin today and they were out of the blueberry muffins. The gender neutral bathroom matched the cute decor of the café with navy blue walls and porcelain tan tile floors. Nothing over the top, but clean with some thoughtful details.

She apologized when coming back but it was a little odd, we waited about five mins or so. I told her I was considering the tiramisu latte or the pistachio latte and I was hoping she could help steer me in a direction. I asked what she thought between the two and she clearly found my question odd bc there was a long pause before she said it depends what I'm in the mood for. Which isn't very helpful at all lol. And she said it with a bit of sass, like what a dumb question to ask. I don't think my question was that outlandish, many places have specific favorites or recommendations. After discovering the tiramisu latte relies on the cream top that can only be made using cream and no non-dairy products, I decided against that one. Without the cream top, it's just a vanilla latte she told us. Typically the pistachio latte is made with syrup and a pistachio butter but she said even the pistachio butter is made with condensed milk. We wanted to confirm paying for a pistachio latte would be the same as paying for a latte with syrup added and she said it would, but again she seemed kinda annoyed or impatient by our questions. Not friendly service at all. It came out to $8 for an iced latte ($1 for non-dairy milk) in an albeit cute container but it was just subpar.

You order and pay at the counter, though there was a bit of a communication barrier while placing our order. We ordered three ham, egg, and cheese croissants along with three café con leches. The portions were very generous--honestly, it worked out in our favor that only two of the three sandwiches we asked for were put in. The food came out fresh and everything was delicious. We really enjoyed the overall experience. The indoor seating consists of all wood tables, so it's not the coziest setup, but that didn't bother me. Lots of choices for breakfast including little sandwiches and pastry. For a mid day snack they actually offered ice cream, which is uncommon in a Cuban Cafe.
