I wasn't too impressed with the food, but the portions are big. I had The Brooklyn (corned beef hash omelet). The menu said "award-winning corned beef hash, Swiss, green onion," but there wasn't anything award-winning about the dish. It was pretty plain actually (1 star off). I also got the churro donuts, but they were more like cinnamon donuts (1 star off); for churros, there should be a thicker fried coating. The restaurant is called Syrup, so maybe the dishes with syrup would be better? read more

My husband and I stopped in for Monday morning breakfast! It was busy, but a quick 15 minute wait. We started with the D'lish (smoked salmon crostinis). It comes with the standard ingredients, so nothing different there, but it was still really tasty and we were happy with our app choice. I got the Cherry Creeker (corned beef hash), over potatoes instead of English muffin, and it was AMAZING. We also ordered the Colorado Real Dill Bloody Mary and (if you like dill) it is the best damn bloody I've ever had. My husband agrees! Would 100% recommend! read more

We decided to come here for breakfast and it was a short walk from the Courtyard on 18th St. We arrived to an office building with the restaurant located on the first floor. I read about the lines and the wait times and was glad that there was an indoor atrium area where you could wait to be seated and not be exposed to the elements outside. We arrived and put our names on the list and were lucky enough after a few minutes to get the chairs in the indoor waiting area. There is a coffee bar there serving lattes and cappuccinos. This place serves breakfast and lunch here and it was quite full. Fortunately, we were able to get seated after about 20 minutes with a party of four. We were seated at a table for two with two extra chairs. After taking a look around, it was a common theme to get more people in by limiting the footprint of the tables. We looked at the menu and were pleased with the options offered. We decided on what we were going to order and and waited patiently for our waitress to arrive to take our order. Since I had some free time on my hands I was looking around the restaurant and observed a very contemporary design with nice green colors on the walls. I also observed that the ceiling vents and adjacent ceiling tiles were dirty and there were some general paint touch ups needed in the dining area. Our waitress showed up to take our order. I ordered the fried chicken waffle sandwich with the honey chili sauce, crack bacon and cottage fries. My wife ordered the salmon omelette, my son ordered double berry bliss (pancakes with blueberries, strawberries and whipped cream on top) with blackberry syrup. My daughter ordered the french toast. I ordered coffee to drink. The food came out and everything looked good. I had to try the crack bacon first and it was good. It was sticky and had brown sugar and black pepper. The cottage fries had no salt and no parmesan cheese or parsley on them so I sprinkled some salt there to wake up the flavor. My fried chicken waffle was boneless and was good. The honey chili sauce had a nice blend of sweet and spicy. There was plenty of arugula served with the dish. My daughter and wife thought the food was OK. My son never received the blackberry syrup and the waitress never came back until the end so he used the maple syrup on the table. I found an ant in my coffee after I drank half of it. Who knows, maybe it fell from the ceiling vent. Although I was excited to eat here, I enjoyed the contemporary colors and decor in the restaurant, the food was ok, the service was lacking and the bill was high. This is a 3 star visit for me and likely won't be back if I make it back to Denver. read more

Please support this place! The food and employees are fantastic! I am especially so thankful for how kind and helpful the manager was to us during an emergency we had at the restaurant. I wish I caught his name, but a taller guy, dark hair, bun, facial hair, was an absolute angel, and if he has even an ounce of influence on how the place is ran, Syrup is in good hands!! I wish there was more I could do to show my gratitude, but at the least I hope all the good this place showed me and my family will return! read more

Showed up to a lineup out the door, lots of people waiting for tables on a Saturday morning... But luckily my willingness to sit at the bar allowed me to skate past the line and get some brunch happening quickly. I had the Chicken & Waffles. It was okay - not the best or worst fried chicken and the waffle was pretty standard. The one thing that was weird was for a place called Syrup, they seem pretty stingy on the syrup portions that come out with the food. Maybe its just my Canadian showing, but I personally like to drown a waffle in syrup. Glad I didn't wait in line, but overall left full and happy enough to go one with my day so 3 stars it is. read more

We're on the waitlist for 25 minutes but were seen in less than 15 minutes. Scott was our server and he took care of us so well!! If you can get him, you will be so happy you have him. Most delicious food ever! I ordered the crunchy French toast and it was cooked to perfection. Just enough crisp and so much flavor. The coconut isn't overwhelming. Husband got the double berry bliss pancakes and those were also delicious. Not too loud or quiet. A great setting to enjoy breakfast with family or even by yourself! Next time we're in Denver, this is our number 1 spot. read more

Ryan was our waiter and every recommendation he gave was stellar. He brought out all the butters to try. I love the peanut butter butter. The remedy was right up my alley. Potatoes, egg, green chili sauce, roasted red peppers and cheese. Had 1 slice of free cheese toast on the side and it was great. Hubby had the flight of waffles. It had like a strawberry syrup which was very sweet but good. Also had the kitchen sink and he liked it. Biscuit, grave, smashed hash browns, bacon, cheese, eggs. Coffee was strong and good and the friendliness of the staff is fantastic. They were very busy but to be seated only took 10 minutes and the service didn't feel rushed. I will definitely return! I'm a big breakfast person, it's my FAVORITE meal of the day! My food was lukewarm which was a MAJOR turn off, especially with a breakfast dish that doesn't take long to cook. I ordered a very basic scrambled eggs with cheese, tater tots and sausage. The sausage was the only hot item on the plate. The eggs were from some precooked batch of eggs that you're served when eating at a breakfast buffet. The tater tots had to be sitting under a heating light. I was highly disappointed and even more so because some one referred me to this place!!! The one star is for the really good orange juice and nice staff. The "buffet" breakfast at the Sonesta Denver Downtown hotel was waaaaay better than this breakfast and I would refer someone their before I ever refer them to this establishment. Because I was hungry and not in the mood to be confrontational, I just ate and left. Serve people hot food! read more

Came here after reading yelp reviews as was in town on business. Walked over and was greeted nicely by a nice lady. We had a 15 min wait but somehow, got seated within about 5 min :) Having checked some yelp reviews saw that portions tended to be big and as such some at the table opted to share. I on the other hand being a hungry guy stepped up for an omelet. Really wanted a specific type with green chile but they did not have a veggie option so went for the jalapeno omelet. Server was nice enough and food decent. Don't know if I was a big fan of the cream cheese filled omelet but smashed tater tots were awesome and not greasy and extra crispy! OMFG!!! This place is legit....delicioso!! So many great food/drink options...you can't go wrong. And the staff is super nice! We were visiting from Tacoma,WA and at first were seated in their "additional indoor patio" area they created due to COVID...felt like a food court vibe....but the inside ambience looked super cool so we asked to be seated inside & without a hitch they moved us in!!! The inside vibes were way better for us tourists! I had the Monster Breakfast burrito and I don't normally eat chorizo, but why not we are on vacation...so glad I did...super yum and I can't believe I ate the whole thing, guess I was hungry from traveling! They validate 2 hours of parking in the nearby garage. Wish we had known because street parking was impossible to find! We ordered two breakfast entree. The biscuit and gravy one where the biscuit seemed old and dry but the gravy was great. The tater tots weren't "old oil" tasting as some reviewers experienced. The eggs were perfectly cooked to order. The other dish was the Chorizo and the pan fried potatoes one. The potatoes were insanely oily and excessively salty. Green chili was "blah". I wanted to like this but could only eat about 1/3 and threw the rest away. I probably should have sent it back but even if they salted it less, it wasn't going to be good for me as the chorizo was quite mild and oily. Good tasting coffee but it was poured out of a carafe and not terribly hot. Turned Luke warm with milk added. Really nice service though. Our waitress was friendly and fast. What a great brunch spot! Both times I went to visit Denver I ate at this gem. Gets super busy so be prepared to wait but its worth it. Each time I had the crab cake Benedict. It comes with a small salad and tater tots. It's so delicious...Nice and crisp as well. The salad is simple but delicious with the cheese, onions and dressing. Service is always on point. The only thing I would change is for them to offer bottomless mimosas instead of carafes. Something about bottomless that I love. Amazing and fast breakfast! During our vacation in Denver, we kept hearing about a local spot called Syrup. We heard about it so many times we figured we had to check it out. We were certainly not disappointed. The "crack bacon" certainly lives up to its name. It was so crunchy and wonderfully seasoned. This place is clearly very popular. Fortunately we were seated immediately. The space did not feel overly crowded as there was more than enough room between tables. There was light music so it was easy to talk and hear the people I was with. The waiter was extremely helpful in offering suggestions and accommodating dietary restrictions. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Elvis French toast. As a peanut butter lover, this was incredible. The peanut butter, banana, and bacon on the french toast paired with some syrup on top called for a great mix of sweet and salty. The bacon was also crispy and delicious. Let me just start by saying the service was phenomenal! If I was just eating off the service alone it'd be 5 stars easily. The waitress Martha (I think that was her name) was amazing. Very attentive and very welcoming. It was my first time ever at this restaurant but she made it feel as if I was a regular here. Maple pecan latte is highly recommended that was by far the best latte I've had! The eggs Benedict was very good as well. I substituted the fried chicken (the meal I had actually came with pork and I don't eat pork) which was a little dry. I would've preferred more moist fried chicken. We were a little hesitant about coming here but as soon as we took our first bite, the hesitation melted away. On a Sunday morning at 10am we had to wait about 20 min for a table for 6. Everyone from the group needs to be present in order to be seated. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive and catered to the two kids we had with us. Coffee is refillable and tea comes in a generous sized mug with a tiny pitcher of milk on the side. I appreciate this eco friendly effort.
