Upon arriving we got in line and browsed the menu, when it was our turn to order I had a question about one of the items and if it could be modified as I was considering ordering it but when I asked, the cashier turned around, left the register and started making salads, and another worker came up. The new worker that came up didn't understand my question, and ultimately I decided to order a chicken grain bowl. The food came out quickly which we thought was great! The food in my bowl was all room temperature/cold as if it had been sitting out. My husband had the same problem with his. We thought that maybe it was supposed to be a cold bowl, so we went ahead and tried it. It only took a few bites to then uncover the "sketchy chicken" pieces. After seeing these I refused to eat the remainder of the bowl. It's extremely unfortunate because the menu concept seemed neat, the prices were a bit higher, so I was really hoping for a quality meal, but was left hungry and out thirty dollars. I probably give this an actual 3.5. I decided to come here after a lot of perusing Yelp on the train from the airport, and I did really appreciate that. It was a lot of fresh options. I ended up getting the salmon and two sides, which, for the kale salad and the garlic mashed potatoes. There's also a Yelp check in that is five dollars off of $20 bill so I ended up adding two more sides, which were the Mac and cheese and the arugula salad. The late staff did not recognize the yelp charging deal, but a supervisor was kind enough to offer me the discount. I don't think she's really understood it because she was going to take off $10 but I just clarified for her that the coupons for five dollars off. I got my number and got seated, and the food came out promptly. Unfortunately, my garlic mashed potatoes turned into roasted vegetables that, but that probably was the better dietary choice for me anyway. Unfortunately I found the salmon super salty and over cooked. I didn't end up finishing it. I did really really love the kale Caesar, and had I known this before, I probably would've just gotten the Caesar salad. The mac & cheese was creamy, but under seasoned, and the arugula salad was too heavy on the onions and the blue cheese. Perfectly serviceable salad. $25 out the door for a salad and a soda and a coffee in a can was outright highway robbery, especially given the very sparse amount of chicken on the salad. I got the Lemongrass Bowl with a generous portion of Ahi Tuna, quinoa, red onions, sliced jalapeños, cilantro, cucumber and lemongrass sauce. Very fresh veggies and tuna. This place saved my food experience in Denver! Although I've had a few connecting flights in Denver I never noticed the Modern Eatery in the airport but after experiencing this up the street from my hotel, it's all I could see. So many conference attendees flocked to this location and I quickly learned why. The food options are plentiful and it comes out quick. I grabbed the half pizza and kale salad. First off, I appreciate that I had the half ability. I felt better about my food choices. The kale salad... I wish it came as a full salad and not a side because it was Delicious! The service was friendly and they really worked to make sure every patron was taken care of. Even in the middle of wild and busy services the team's attitude never wavered. It's a cool eatery with gated outdoor seating. You might miss it, but toward the back after the drinks there's some additional seating. So grateful to this location. read more

A very convenient stop for me as about 100 ft from my hotel. Stopped in for lunch. The video menu is tough to follow if what you want is on the rotating section. Paper menu solved that problem. Didn't take long to decide - Overnight Braised Beef Bowl for the win. No hot coffee here so opted for a cold brew. If dining in you get a numbered stand to place on your table. Food arrived within 5 minutes. The kale was cut in relatively small pieces which i liked. A tasty dressing.
