We are SO pleased with the paver installation on our driveway, walkway, and front steps. It took about a week and each day was very productive in terms of progress. System Pavers offered great service from initial consultation, project management, installation, and final walk through. Javier was especially tentative and ensured a very smooth and safe installation process. (Thank you Javier and team!) The install was very well done and the details at the edges and curved areas are especially lovely. That walkway to the door feels much more grand as we filled in a planter and expanded the steps. So glad we did both the driveway and entry for a complete/finished look. Not only does it look great, but we resolve drainage issues by adding a drain channel and piping under the pavers (and a big reason of needing to redo the driveway). The steps made a big difference in our entry! The lower step was expanded, making it more safe than before (it was kind of a cliff previously). I am very happy with my new backyard! Originally I contacted system pavers more than two years ago for an estimate, but I had to hold it because of busy life. When I reached out them again, my consultant (Nick) came out promptly and gave me a new estimate. My husband I used System Pavers a few years ago for a large outdoor living project which we loved. Recently, my elderly parents wanted to change the lawn in their front yard, side yard, and backyard to artificial turf. This seemed like the best fit for them considering they can't do much yard work anymore. For my parents' house, I dealt with Henry (sales) who was top-notch and with Javier (project manager). Even though I was handling al of the arrangements, Henry made my 82 yr old dad feel very comfortable. He was very informative and made sure my dad understood everything. He made sure that we were able to get a good price on the job and was not pushy. Javier was amazing! During the time the job started my 89 yr old dementia mom was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Since I'm the main caregiver for my parents and still work full-time, I had to take care of everything and was going under water. I would give 5 stars on the pavers but only one on their crushed granite. They did a lousy job on the granite. We got the work done in 2014, spent a total of $70,000.00 on project. The whole area where the granite is infested with weeds and was told it was a maintenance issue. One year they added more granite and it became a giant cat box. They came out and removed it. I have seen other crushed granite projects and mine looks nothing like it. It doesn't matter if we put weed killer or not. The same thing happens every year. read more

Our backyard has a large deck that let off into what used to be a lawn, and is mostly mud and weeds in the winter. It badly needed a change, and I dreamed of a hardscape patio and turf. I drew up a rough plan, but didn't put it into action for over a year. This year, I contacted a few landscape design agencies, including System Pavers. They were the most responsive, and were able to meet with me on the weekend to discuss my ideas. The design consultant, Chris Weiss, discussed my plans with me, and we came up with a final design which could be quoted. I decided to move ahead with the project, and that is where Javier Rodriguez, the project manager, came in. We reviewed the plan together, and he outlined how the work would proceed. The project took a little over 2 weeks to complete, and every day Javier was there checking the work, and also checking with me to see if I had any questions about the work as it progressed. The System Pavers crew installed a paver circle and walkway, and a turf area in our backyard. They did a very complete and professional job, every step of the way: digging out the base layer to put in the gravel under the walkway, tamping it down, etc. Everything was done properly and thoroughly. They even added drainage lines under the hardscape and made a few design 'upgrades' in my favor. I am super pleased with the way my backyard looks now! My wife and I wanted to install pavers to replace the front porch, driveway, and steps leading up to the front door of our home in Fremont. We reached out to System Pavers based on their solid reviews. Little did we know that we were about to be paired up with the Paving Dream Team: Javier Rodriguez and Scott Issersohn! Scott, our Design Consultant, came to our home to understand our requirements and lay out a plan for us. Scott was super-friendly and knowledgeable, and made us feel at ease without any pressure. He took the time to explain the paving process to us in lots of detail so we'd know exactly what to expect. Scott didn't just give us a sense of how the final result would look, but he also explained exactly how the old stuff would be taken out, how the new pavers would be installed (including what goes under the pavers), and why System Pavers is able to deliver high-quality results. Scott also spoke very highly of our future Project Manager, Javier, and made us feel comfortable knowing that we'd continue to be in good hands when moving from the design to the execution phase. With Scott, we knew 100% that System Pavers was the company our project needed to be successful. Once our project began, we had the pleasure of having Javier be our main point of contact to lead the project through to completion. Javier was also super-friendly and knowledgeable, but he was specifically to-the-point about exactly what could and could not feasibly be done based on the specifics of our actual front yard. He told us about potential risks during the demolition process; what aspects of the design needed to be confirmed with the City before work could start; and gave us great alternative options when we needed to tweak some of our original plans. With Javier, there's no BS. There's honesty, experience, and leadership. Javier basically had our full trust, and he expertly led our project through to a successful completion, a true manifestation of the high-quality, great-looking result that Scott had originally promised us. Javier had estimated a 7-10 day job (not counting weekends), in which the first 1-2 days would be demolition. The project followed exactly that schedule despite a handful of rainy days. My wife and I added a few things to our project over the course of the execution phase, like adding some additional curbing, and adding some new lights to highlight our front yard landscaping. Javier walked us through those changes and got that work done without any additional scheduling delays. The end result was fantastic. And at the end of the job, Javier walked us through tips for how to care for our new pavers to keep them looking and functioning at their best. I will also say that System Pavers didn't give us the cheapest price for our project from among the companies we looked into. But System Pavers was the first one that truly convinced us that they would be able to successfully deliver on our vision in a way that we'd love. And they did just that! Our driveway and walkway to our front door was in need of some serious work because of age, tree roots and soil shifting. We contacted System Pavers and decided to go with them even though their quote was a little higher than others. Terrible Quality. Worked with the (previously)Union City office now in Fremont. Pavers have been splitting in a very short period of time. They have returned to fix at least 3 times over the past 3 years. Pavers are only 6 years. The BBQ island developed major cracks which they have refused to fix. The same with the pavers which have developed tremendous cracks. They give an excuse that the backyard is sitting close to a hill which is nothing more than 3 feet high. They should have assessed any potential issues when first building and not use this as excuse to justify their continued failures. Both the BBQ island ( made of brick) and the pavers are a nightmare to any homeowner. Please be sure to not use this establishment. read more
