DO NOT HIRE this company. They lied to you and it is extremely HARD to get them fix things under warranty. This company installed 20 pathway lights, charged over $7000 and promised 25 years warranty in 2016. Half of lights did not work in 2020. I asked them to fix the lights. They told me I would be in a waiting list and it would be 2 months. After 2 months, they told me wait again. After another 2 months, their manager Anthony lied to me the light warranty was 2 years only and paver warranty was 25 years. At that time, I could not find the warranty paper and I asked him to show me the contact. He just kept saying light warranty was 2 years and finally agreed to call me back after talking to his manager. No phone call back in 2 years. Luckily, I found the warranty paper in 2022. I called them again to fix the lights. This Anthony is still a manager and he still lied to me the light warranty is 2 years. I told him I found the warranty paper and came to fix the lights. He finally send someone to fix the lights which took about 1 hour. We have 1 broken light. He told me via phone call that he will charge me $150 + tax since the light itself was not in warranty. I agreed. Half hour later, he told me via message that he will charge $202 + tax instead for no reason. I refused. I'd like to fix it by myself rather than paying this unreliable company a cent. Then he called and told me "It is doing you a favor to fix the lights." OK. Thank you for doing me a favor to follow the warranty. Best regards. read more

System pavers recently completed fixing and extending our back patio experience. We had a slanted area in our backyard that was unusable they built a wall backfilled and then laid pavers on top to extend and create a wonderful backyard. They did a great job were, very communicative, and got the project done on schedule. They estimated the project would take a week and that's how long it took. They even came back to ensure the property was left better than when they arrived. I would recommend and definitely use them in the future. read more

I would have given a 5 star, but the price was high, so I took a star but, the work was exceptional! The staff that worked on my project was amazing! The pavers brought so much class to my backyard. Thank you to Andy who designed my yard. Not only did he listen to my vision, but he also heard what I wanted and put it on paper, which came to life in a week once the project started. Robert Preston went above and beyond. The project was explained in detail and the timelines. The crew was professional and courteous. When we considered getting a fire pit and patio extension, System Pavers was the first company to call back and get a consultation appointment, and with a 25 year warranty and install dates in this century, things seemed too good to be true... Initial estimate of completion was 1 month, 4 months later, it's still not done. When they showed up for install, the new timeline for finishing was 1 week, then they put a hole in the side of our house, tried to cover it up and do a rushed repair job and thought we wouldn't notice (note: the hole was actually through the siding and the drywall to the inside of the house. It sat open like that for almost two weeks) When I raised the concern to the team, the response was "oh, maybe put a cover over it and we'll check it out next week..." It was a fight to get it done correctly. I wish I could say the problems ended there, but they just kept mounting. the installers talked me out of features that I wanted and talked me into paying more for other 'side work'. They also tried to not complete the job in entirety by omitting the key pieces that give the product warranty. When I raised these things to the team, they promised they'd make it up in other ways, but the way SP kept track of punchlist items on my project was via text - and the number of the PM kept changing, so it became impossible to keep track. I never once saw them write anything down (besides the price). The hits just keep on coming and the customer service is nowhere to be found. Hugely disappointing. Reader beware: SP will try to convince you that payment is due when the job is "substantially complete", but you should withhold an amount to ensure the job gets done. We financed our project with the bank they chose, and even they said to not release final payment until you were fully satisfied. Wish I had listened. read more

Our Project manager was Zachary Watson, he did a fantastic job managing the project and communicated with us every day to make sure any questions or concerns were Immediately addressed. They completed the job in a timely manner, consulted with us along the way, and did everything they said they were going to do. We recently engaged System Pavers to redo our front patio. After having already paid for what turned out to be a botched up job, I was apprehensive of hiring someone again. Meeting Zach and his team turned everything around! They were patient with all my questions/concerns, handled change requests expeditiously, and did an overall stellar job -- moreover, they managed to transform the front patio in a matter of three days whereas the previous company took months to complete! The work is top-notch and we love the output so much that we're prepared to engage Zach and System Pavers again to do additional work in the backyard. As someone that is super cautious and has had a number of bad experiences with construction/contractors, I cannot recommend this crew enough. System Pavers came back to do a warranty fix on some settling from our driveway project. (there were signs of settling in the wheel path from the original laydown less than a year ago.) The team worked hard and Zach came by to ensure the job was done right. When there was a gap on the edge when they laid the pavers again, the team made special cuts to ensure that the fit was tight and no gap remained. In the backyard portion of the project, there were a few details we had to get corrected along the way, but Zach ensured those things were straightened out. Wasn't a perfect job but overall happy with the end result. And especially happy that they stand behind their work, as they had zero qualms about doing the warranty fix! read more

Most horrible experience with these people. We needed some turfstone to be installed in our driveway and turned to System Pavers. Their workers did the job eventually reasonably well I think, but the entire experience was awful. Overpriced? Yes. $40,000.- for a small piece of turfstone isn't cheap, but we figured it would be quality and agreed to it. They insisted on having most of it paid before it was done. managers come by with iPads.. making you sign long contracts you can't read on the iPad.. then we get daily automatic reminder mails pressing for payment. pay via some snazzy "portal" with "exciting news" (that we should pay up NOW). Then they left a huge pile of stones in front of my garage so I couldn't drive out. We asked to have this removed. Again weeks go by.. finally they took the stones, they insisted on immediate payment, but the drainage was still not connected and led to flooding after rain.. again they insist on all the last payments (only 10% was outstanding!) before fixing it. Again, daily reminder mails and harassment by "managers"... after threatening phone calls talking about contracts and legal action, (and we just wanted to have really completed first) they come and fix the drainage problem... in the process they jam and disable our gate, necessitating us to call gate repair people to fix. Still, just to have these people out of my life, I agree to pay the final payment (10%) the day after they fixed the drainage, even while on business travel; but now their portal is broken and doesn't accept payment.. I call one of the managers, but the manager can't take a CC and refers me to accounting department, which now insists that I have to pay with a "surcharge" for taking a credit card.. I offer to send a check instead, but they say that's too slow for them.. finally we have then a check personally! ugh what an unprofessional and badly managed business.. insulting and harassing! read more

Bait and switch. Bald-faced lies. Cannot be trusted. Contract is a blank check in their favor. Complete opposite of customer-centric. They will sell you a design that you will like, then you will sign a contract. ANY potential cost overruns are your responsibility. There is no backing out. There is no negotiation. That is the contract you are signing. After we signed our contract, we were told the city permit was pending. Then many weeks later, the salesman admits nothing had even been submitted to the city. Blatant LIES when we had asked about the permitting. But then he claims the project requires more expensive labor and materials than initially proposed (and detailed in the contract). At least $7000 more than the initial proposal. All this without even submitting the proposal to the city -- but based on their own projections. System Pavers will show you that you signed a contract agreeing to put up with all permit delays, pay for any modifications they tell you are needed (for which an application was never submitted), and pay for any other potential cost overruns. Even if the project was sold to you under false pretenses. We were lucky and only lost our deposit (over $4000). By their good graces (thank you, System Pavers!) they did not charge us the 20% cancelation fee (but brought it up multiple times as a veiled threat to encourage us to agree to the more costly option). Credit where due: Excellent cut-and-paste skills to show the dear customer how you are trapped because of the contract you signed. read more

The nightmare started with the project designer who promised a lot. He sketched a drawing that apparently laid out the project as my wife and I, along with him, discussed. When the project manager came to map out the project, there were things discussed with the designer that weren't apparent from the drawing and even had omissions. Once the crew finally came, it was apparent nothing discussed in the beginning was written in the contract and the end result was a job that looked like a couple of high school kids did it. There were many deficiencies per company standards and, after taking our dissatisfaction to the CEO, a new, different crew tore out the terrible work of the first crew and started from scratch. When this new crew finished, we were unhappy to see that a pavers ramp up to our shed was at as seventeen degree slope. I am disabled and wear orthotics which walking up or down this grade of slope is out of the question. Management has refused to correct this ramp and stated they are closing the books on my project. Do not set yourself up for disappointment by hiring System Pavers. There are other companies that can do the same type of work; do it right the first time; and at a far better price than System Pavers. read more

I am writing this review after having our pavers installed for several years. We were told these would last a lifetime, so dispite the high expense it seemed it would pay in the longrun. First of all , they sub contract out to a landscape company, so why not just go to a landscape company to begin with and save some money?. Then I did not like the colors they came in when seen in natural light, so they did a "custom blend" which was no different than the ones I did not like. So now my smooth pavers are very ruff on the surface with alot of pitting so I had them come out to take a look. They said this is normal but at this rate we will probably have to replace them with something else. read more

I can't, in good conscience, recommend System Pavers to anyone. It's unfortunate that I have to write this, but I want to save you and everyone else the headaches that go along with this company, and the nightmare we've endured. It all started with an extreme lack of communication within the company. And I mean EXTREME. It is much too extensive to explain it all here, but in short: The designer's complete lack of communicating proper instructions to workers, lack of knowledge of the project amongst employees, confusing contracts (beware, read carefully!), extremely overpriced, and no one really seemed to be in charge. During and after our project, we addressed our concerns at the local level but received silence. We then took our concerns upon completion (in a very professional and thorough manner) to the Regional Vice President, to which he refused both a site visit and phone call to us. We then tried to take our concern to the top. We spent over 5 months attempting to reach the CEO, only to have his secretary call me (yes, finally, a phone call!!!) to tell us that the CEO would not speak to us either. In other words, they had their payment in full, so buh-bye. I felt as though we at least deserved a phone call from someone at management level, but that was never happening. Sad to say, but I regret the day I called System Pavers. read more

This company seemed great to at first but they cancelled our project so many times we could not sit around and wait around on them anymore. They are back logged beyond and will lie to you to get you to book with them and then they will blow you off again and again. They also play various price games pretending they can call in and get better prices if you "book today". Super sleezy vibes. We ended up cancelling our project and they held our deposit even though our contract said we could cancel if they did not start by a certain date. Avoid! read more

We had several areas of our yard which were on-going maintenance problems, which we decided to "hardscape" or gravel. Tamara was our salesperson and designer, listened to our ideas and intrigued us with possible solutions. She took the time to lay out a color-coded design, associated with a selection of paver stone colors & borders, walkways to connect various areas around the house, and a lighted stairway to connect two new patio areas. As installed, we are very pleased with how the design looks and works. Friends and family who have viewed it are impressed as well. Anthony was our project manager and was wonderful to work with. His experience was really helpful, especially when we wanted some of the work touched up, and when we wanted an adjustment to the stair design. He has a broad knowledge of all aspects of paving work. We appreciated how easy he was to connect with, always responding promptly to text messages and keeping us informed of his schedule. He did a good job of coordinating with the foreman and crew. Our crew was nice, though most didn't speak English, which was a bit of difficulty when wanting to ask questions and understand how they planned to work various aspects of the design. One construction concern occurred when the crew was sledge-hammering some old concrete for removal, and the chunks were flying toward our windows -- wish they had first thought to protect the windows. Another was regarding the design of the stairs, which at first were too steep to feel comfortable, and they needed an adjustment for a more natural flow. Finally, the stone placement for the walls of the stairs called for an artistic sense of how to mix the charcoal capstones with the brown wall stones, but we needed to ask for some rework in order to get the design in the best configuration. In the end we added two more stones ourselves which are not glued down but should be ok. All-in-all, we are very pleased, and very appreciative of the work done. It is a significant upgrade to our yard and its usability. We enjoyed working with the people of System Pavers, and if we have a need for further work in the future, we would definitely contact them as well as recommending them to others. read more

Please read this review before considering this company. I have a long driveway on a hill with a sloping turn halfway up. The driveway had become deeply rutted with some drainage issues. It seemed to fall into the category of: too small a job for the big companies and too big a job for the small companies. I was desperate for a solution. The System Pavers rep came out and measured my driveway and showed me a couple books of their work. The actual bidding process was like the worst used car sales scenario possible- with lines like, "What would you say if I could get you the driveway for this price?" I was offered discounts for putting a Systems Pavers sign up in my yard and posting a five star review on Yelp. The whole bid process seemed somewhat random. At no point was I given a breakdown of costs, only the grand total with multiple discounts applied. I ultimately chose a gravel driveway with pavers lining the sides at a cost of 32k. I was told their "drainage specialist" would come look at the property and make recommendations. Someone from the company did come and looked at the site with the rep, but I received no recommendations past the original design. The crew actually doing the work was very nice, but communication was minimal. They dumped gravel on my lawn in two spots and poured small amounts of leftover cement in my garden. Additionally, a pallet of pavers was put on my neighbors property. The foreman, Christian, was impossible to get hold of and did not supervise the job daily, as I was told he would. When the crew needed to replace an existing drainage channel, I was quoted a price that was over 15 times the price I could purchase the piece from Home Depot. I purchased the piece from Home Depot. They then installed it wrong, recreating the drainage/ wash out issue that was to have been fixed by this project. Much of the above could have been overlooked to get that "Five Star Discount". Here was the breaking point with System Pavers- the work crew did not follow the work plan. Instead of paving up to a very large tree, leaving a growth gap for the tree and picking the line up on the other side, they bowed the pavers out around the tree. There is now no room for the tree to grow. This also visually ruined the line of the driveway. When I complained and asked for it to be made to the plan I was asked to "live with it and see if I could learn to like it". They also stopped a row of pavers short of the what the plan specified. Upon completion of the job, I was asked again to see if the bowed pavers didn't "grow on me" and was told I had six months to decide. Either way, they would come back to fix the shortened row of pavers. Winter was setting in at this point, so all of this was put in as a clause to the certificate of completion. Three pallets of pavers were left at the bottom of my driveway to be used for completion of the unfinished row (including that one placed on my neighbor's property). In the spring, well before the six month mark, I asked to have all items fixed. Someone from the company came out to assess the situation. At that time I asked that the pallets that have been there all winter get removed. He offered me all the unused pavers, minus what they would need to finish the row, as an apology for the job not being done to our satisfaction, making it my responsibility to move three full pallets. At this point I was then referred to the repair manager who came out to look at the work and said his crew was very busy, but I would be put on the list for repairs and be contacted with a date. Weeks went by and nothing. I called and got no return calls or was just told I was on the list. This went around for a couple months, with at least eight phone calls, and still nothing- except endless mailers and emails telling me about the $500 bonus I could receive if I refer someone. On my last call to the company I received a terse voicemail from the repair manager telling me I was on the list and "they would get to my project when there was an opening". At that point I decided to leave it to the company to get back to me. That was a year and a half ago. The driveway is still unfinished to project specification and I am less than one star satisfied. read more

I think that System Pavers is "OK" as long as the only thing that goes wrong is broken pavers... In our case, a tree root has totally warped our driveway, and the cost quoted to fix it is about the same price as we paid in total 10 odd years ago (yeah, price of labor has gone up, but you've got to be kidding me). OMG. I didn't think think this place could get any worse but they did. Our patio is still sinking. Now we have pooling rain water in different spots. They promised to fix it last year. They had 2 guys show up, one made fun of me and was chauvinistic. They apparently are no longer with the company including the manger who promised to fix our sinking patio. They sent some other guy out a few months ago. He agreed our backyard looks like shit. He said he'd be in touch to fix it but hey guess what? STILL nothing. We were told originally that they guarentee their work. (She's no longer with the company either) We call they fix...yep big lie. BULLSHIT. 2 years later and we are looking for a lawyer. We were promised a ton in the beginning. Low maintenance, no weeds.. Lie! Then we're told oh hey sorry so n so doesn't work here anymore. Thats why we haven't been in touch. We have gotten the runaround and same comments for over 2 years. Guess even the employees realize this is a shit company. DO NOT USE System Pavers. Our yard looked great for a year. No square footage quotes means we're going to try and get every penny out of the customer we can. I had System Pavers bid a $100K paver project and was terribly disappointed with the quote. So a couple things here's about System Pavers quoting. No square footage, this is a huge red flag that anybody should be concerned with. How do you know they have an understanding of the amount of material and labor for the job? This is how contractors get themselves into trouble and why people get screwed because they're quoted a price that isn't correct for the job. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! Second very little description of the job, my quote says "Drive way" or "side yard", this is a very large project and there's a lot that could be miscommunicated and/or misunderstood and I get generic descriptions for the scope of work. I asked for a breakdown of cost (sq footage, material costs, labor costs) and the parameters of the work after the first quote but all I got was another quote with the individual projects priced out with same generic work descriptions. Soooo, Systems Pavers is not a good fit for us but I would be extremely concerned when you ask for the square footage and the sales person tells you "we don't really do it like that" apparently Systems Pavers is using a form of measurement that no one else in the world is using. Of course all of this is my opinion. Also, if you read some of these reviews it sounds like System Pavers is paying/discounting work for 5 star Yelp reviews, if this is true System Pavers, Shame on you! read more

I would give this company 'zero' stars if I could for honesty and transparency. I was looking to install a small paver patio in my front yard. The quote for 234 sq ft was ($9774 or $41.75/sq ft). Although I was told that the project would be about $35/sq ft. This is more than the industry average of $30-$38/sq ft, so beware and do the math before you think you are getting a good deal. System Pavers likes to 'toot their own horn' and tell you how much better they are than everyone else, but I had a very different experience. The terms of down payment, financing, cancelation, etc.. were NOT clearly explained at my 'free in person design consultation'. The contract was sent via email and was cumbersome and wordy. No one EVER said that I had 3 days to cancel before having to pay 10% of the cost of the project! So beware and be sure that you want to pay premium pricing before signing!! I did put a down payment on the project of more than required and have had difficulty getting any kind of refund. I believe all they can legally keep is %10, but the rep. sounded like he was doing me a favor to do that. I had to cancel because I had to make 2 emergency room visits in 1 weekend and felt I needed the funds designated for the paver project to pay for medical bills. When I finally reached someone in authority to refund my deposit, they were less than understanding and blamed me for not canceling in the 3 day window! They are very sneaky about slipping this clause into the contract and rigid about making the customer pay. Other paver companies do not have this business model and are more flexible. Absolutely NOTHING had been done up to this point other than my 'free design' which they took credit for and ended up costing me 10% or $977!! They offered to 'keep the deposit' and schedule for a later date, but I wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with this company!! They do not listen to the customer, have no compassion, just justify all their behavior and make excuses. It is difficult to reach someone and they are not transparent and did not cover all the details in person before making a decision. They were very flippant about financing, but if you need to cancel and don't do it in those 3 days, they will take your money!!! If they keep the excess deposit, then I guess I will need to get a lawyer! Hope this is helpful to any unsuspecting potential customers of System Pavers. read more
