Service was a little slow for it being empty as we needed to get server every time. The actual food was very good and a little bit spicy. They are cash only so make sure to have your pesos to pay!

The folks were nice but... Damn I was disappointed by the food. I had really high expectations after all the good things Eater said about this place in their top 25 food destinations in Pureto Vallerta, but not a single thing I ordered from here left an impression on me: two tostadas, fish carribon appetizer, crab roll appetizer. Most were just really plain and unflavorful.

After a long day of venturing off in the sea , snorkeling and going to the hidden beach ; We were starving. We were told this place had good seafood. We got to the place & you can tell the place is good because it looked like a lot of locals /Tourist were there. We waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated. We ordered guacamole,Fish ceviche, shrimp aguachile, marlin tostada, and Pulpo with mashed potatoes & French fries. The guacamole was delicious. The fish ceviche & pulpo were my favs. The pulpo was super tender and the mashed potatoes were excellent! It actually went great with the pulpo . There was also this sauce ( soy sauce , onions , Serrano peppers ) that tasted amazing with the pulpo . No complaints. The food was excellent & the prices were pretty cheap compared to the mediocre hotel food that charges $$$ for food that doesn't even taste decent. Super happy we got to try 8 Tostadas.

The servers are on their toes and speedy. When we went...there was a wait. But they moved people through quickly and it was obvious it was a local place. There was even a birthday celebration at one table which made the atmosphere festive and fun. The food was served quickly and was fresh and good. We only had Vallarta style ceviche and it was great. Remember to bring cash as they don't take credit. 10 minute walk from the Sheraton.

This place is amazing, off the beaten path but well worth the effort to get there. They close at 7 so don't miss it

Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. Servers are very attentive and accommodating. We ordered an adult beverage and a virgin for the kids. They both tasted like virgins. Without hesitation, the server took one back and made another one with alcohol. No big deal. Stuff happens. If you don't like seafood, the pasta is amazing. The Gorgonzola penne is to die for. So rich and flavorful. You wouldn't think you would get good pasta in Mexico but we would be wrong. I ordered the Red Snapper. I wasn't prepared to receive a full fish on my plate, that was a different than what I was used to but it was amazing. Short walk from the Sheraton through the park. It was safe even as it got dark. No issues for those that are worried about safety. The next day, we spoke with a local that said that is his favorite restaurant around for seafood.

The freshest seafood in Vallarta with very friendly staff. The avocado salad has a Spicey kick but you have the option to order it with out Chile.

It's just great spot, try "Atún a la Romana" with baked tostadas, avocado and spicy mayo and usually their catch of the day rocks as well

I honestly could have ordered two. The house-made ricotta was creamy, the tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and the aged balsamic brought everything together perfectly. For my main, I had the Asian noodle salad with grilled shrimp. It was refreshing, light, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. The grapefruit added a bright citrus note, and while I initially thought the candied pecans would be an odd pairing, they worked surprisingly well. My only suggestion would be to remove the shrimp tails to make the dish a little easier to enjoy. I finished with the mango-strawberry almond parfait, which was the perfect ending to the meal. It was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet, making it a great dessert after two flavorful courses. The service throughout the meal was warm and welcoming. I'm still working on my Spanish, and everyone was patient and encouraging, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Located just a short walk from our Airbnb, it's perfectly placed for a relaxed dinner after a day of exploring. The room on the second floor was air-conditioned -- a godsend in June's heat -- and made the whole experience far more comfortable. The setting feels casual but thoughtfully executed, with attentive service that never felt intrusive. Drinks: the Tamarind Margarita is a must-order. Tangy, balanced, and truly memorable -- one of the best cocktails we tried during our stay. Food: outstanding. The Tuna Chicharrón taco was superb -- honestly the best taco we had in two days in PV. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Shrimp Ceviche tostadas were equally excellent: fresh, bright, and well composed. Service: Jesús was a standout. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable -- he made solid recommendations and kept the evening running smoothly. If you're nearby, do not miss this spot. Great food, fantastic cocktails, and comfortable indoor seating with AC make Tuna Azul an easy top pick in Puerto Vallarta.
