BLUF - T&J Waffles is *good*. When I think of Chicken & Waffles, for me personally, this is what I have in mind. I personally don't like it when restaurants will serve their own take on chicken & waffles and it ends up missing the essence of the dish. That essence of what I look for in the dish is the foundation of the food at T&J Waffles. The chicken is crispy and juicy with great sauce options to go with the meal. The waffles are light, airy, and sweet (but not overly sweet). I tend to frequent T&J Waffles whenever they come as the food truck, so YMMV if you eat at the brick & mortar location. That being said, I don't feel like there's an inherent loss of quality by eating at the food truck. My recommendation is to eat the food as soon as possible. Chicken and waffles to me has a very short shelf-life where the crispiness fades away shortly after. I think the best way to enjoy is to dig pretty much right away. Definitely check out the spot if you enjoy chicken and waffles! Side note: they have other options too that look delicious, but I can't not order the chicken & waffles when I go.

Finally got a chance to visit on an early Saturday afternoon. When you order, you'll get one of those vibrating alert things with a number that will match the one marked on your order. Only took a few minutes for my order despite 3 people ahead of me. Waffles are crispy and have a cool design Chicken is juicy and crispy as well Very good as a big sandwich Definitely coming back to try some of the dessert varieties.

Great Food & Great Service Always. I even take a waffle home for later with some ice cream.

T&J's is the bombbbb. I'm only in Maryland for a few weeks for school purposes, but I am determined to come here every weekend til it's time to leave. Their savory waffles are unlike any I've had before. Cheese, egg, meat, or whatever you want can be melded together on a waffle to have all in one bite. I ordered an egg and cheese waffle, and shared a strawberry one with a friend. The egg and cheese was a perfect amount of sweet and savory. The strawberry one was really good too, but made from a different batter it seemed like. Sweeter of course, with a different texture, like a little more chewy, with small chunks of sugar. Not sure if it was sugar in the batter or from the powdered sugar, but it was good. Can't beat the price either. You can either take it to go, or enjoy it at the picnic tables around the corner of the hardware store.

I've been wanting to try T&J Waffles for a long time but kept missing them. They're not at their Clarksville location everyday of the week so Yelp is misleading. Follow their Facebook for an accurate schedule because they move around a lot. I love the waffles at Waffie and my friend told me to try T&J Waffles. I ordered a Nutella banana waffle and ended up waiting a little longer than usual so the owner graciously gave me a free sugar waffle. The waffles are delicious! They were warm, fresh, and sweet! They have sweet and savory options which gives you a variety of options. If you love waffles, you won't be disappointed here. Definitely stop by and give this place a try!

How have I not reviewed my favorite food truck yet!? Hands down the best waffle you will ever eat in your life! Wanna know how good these waffles are? Sometimes my husband picks them up during his lunch break and doesn't get home until 8 p.m.--- and they're still delicious! Mind you, I usually get the dessert style waffle with no ice cream or whipped topping (so it doesn't get soggy).. But still, the waffle is amazing! My favorite combinations are banana and Nutella or mixed berry. Strawberry with caramel is also good, as well as the waffle in a cup with mixed fruit. Ugh, so bad for you, yet so good! I follow this truck on Facebook so I can keep up with their locations. You can usually find them at Columbia Gateway, Jailbreak Brewing, Crofton Farmers Market, National Business Parkway, Piney Orchard, Earleigh Heights Fire Company, and Kendall Hardware. You can also follow them on Twitter!

This place was awesome!!! I got the berry waffle, and asked that the fruit be separated since I wasn't that hungry, and I didn't think I would finish the whole thing. Man was I wrong -- it was so good that I finished the whole thing basically before leaving the parking lot. The only downside to this place is that it is outdoor kind of like a food truck. There is no place to sit and eat your food so you are kinda forced to eat in your car. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! The waffles are really delicious!

I've heard about this place for years and Never had the time to check it out until today- and I definitely was not disappointed! I had the berry waffle with whip cream and it was delicious! First off, for 6 dollars the portion size was huge- the perfect size to share. I really enjoyed the fresh berries, and the fact that the whole waffle wasn't overly sweet. I definitely will return soon, and in the future would love to try the savory options!

This is the best place to get breakfast on a Saturday morning. It just happens to be served in a truck. Food trucks are the dinning experience of our era. It's fast service, good food and you have to hunt them down. T and j waffle truck really is a great way to get your waffle fix, that is if ur able to track them down. The food is worth waiting in line for. The food is made fresh to order. My favorite thing to do is get a savory dish and a sweet dish in one order. That way I can get the sweet and savory fix. When you take your food to go, the food does get super soggy. So if you can try to open the container lid and if you can try to eat it in your car. Also to keep your food from getting soggy ask them for syrup to go. And pour the syrup at home! Overall, this food truck is worth every single calorie and it's even worth the wait, even in the cold!

Exceeded my expectations! I'm always wary of food trucks which are usually overpriced and not so great. The pulled pork sandwich was so good! So much pork and it was very tender. So good with the perfectly crispy waffle. The strawberry banana speculoos waffle was also good. The waffle itself can stand alone because it's perfectly crispy and soft and perfectly sweet even without all of the toppings. This is saying a lot because I've had mediocre waffles where the toppings are totally needed. Overall, definitely worth it and a lot better than expected from a food truck:) and the guys were all super nice

I had a chicken avocado blt from T&J and by the time I was ready to dig in, the waffle was super soggy, also the chicken was a bit rough, and the bacon burnt. I'm giving four stars b/c let's face it, where else besides T&J could I find heaping hot waffles and fruit topping located just outside of our back to school night at my son's elementary school?! Cmon now, I can't! So all the praises due to T&J for offering that experience. Next time around I will stick to the basics: waffles + fruit + whipped cream, can't go wrong that way!!

This bright and colorful food truck caught my view as I entered the Sunoco gas station in Hickory Ridge Village Center off Freetown Road in Columbia. I placed my order, then checked the air in my tires and got gas--two birds with one stone! By the time I returned, my lunch was ready. They serve freshly prepared Guatemalan-style food with very generous portions. I ordered the tacos choosing 2 flavors each of chicken and steak, burrito filled with tender steak pieces and then a Carne Asada burrito. The flavors were delicious, ingredients were fresh and nothing was overly spicy. Sliced cucumber and radish with sauces topped each dish and the service was friendly with no long wait. A convenient spot for a quick, tasty bite. I'll definitely be back to try more.

I heard that the lines can be long but when we went on Saturday around noon there was no line and the wait for our food was around 10 minutes. Just like everyone says the portions are huge! I really loved the torta, it came with refried beans, lettuce, a special sauce, steak (you can choose the meat), all on a super soft bread. The tacos come loaded up with meat, the steak wasn't the best I've had but the chorizo was phenomenal! The drink options are limited, but if you've never tried coconut water that would be my recommendation. There were some tables right next to the food truck available to use. It was the perfect day to sit outside and enjoy our fresh food. The person who took our food order was super friendly, patient, and happy to answer any questions. I'll definitely be back, and will probably order a torta again. I've also heard great things about their quesadillas!

We've seen it from Columbia to Finksburg MD! We already had hot dogs before we saw the DMV truck, and we had no regrets, but also no room for more. But we love love these birria tacos. Tender, juicy, flavorful, with lots of consommé on the side for dunking. We got some to take home, and they reheated really well, losing none of the flavors or aromas, just losing some of the crispiness of the taco shell. They were a glorious mess! We got an order of flavorful shrimp tacos, too. Scrumptious! Generous! They had birria, chicken, shrimp, or veggie tacos or quesadillas or burritos or rice-bowls, loaded fries, even a birria grilled cheese, birria empanadas, or a birria or combo hoagie! I was told the peach cobbler French toast was really good. The cinnamon roll French toast was prepared perfectly. Not soggy which was surprising given how much syrup and melted cream was on the plate. It was just VERY sweet. It also came with a side of eggs and brown sugar sage sausage patties. I loved the sausage patties and 2 was just enough. The chicken and waffles were good, the chipotle honey that came on the side complimented the chicken really well.
