The menu is the same at all of the restaurants, but I would say that each place the service is what would set them apart. I took the kids out to dinner here one night, while the wife was working. Talk about a place that does not get it! One of my kids wanted a meatball with their pasta (no spaghetti here!!!) and we were told that they did not have any meatballs. Then the waitress came back and said they could give us a meatball but it would be a $1 extra (the kids meal was $4.99 to begin with). What was I to say, the kid wanted a meatball so I asked them to bring it. Since they were going to bring us a meatball I expected something that would be decent in size, what we got was something that was the size of a half dollar! Come on now! To top it off, the staff brought out the wrong meals for both of the kids! You try to explain to kids that they can eat what was brought out or wait for what they wanted. What a treat that was. We also had to wait an obscene amount of time to get the check and pay. Kids do not like to sit still, and by the time we were ready to go one of my kids was jumping in the aisles. What ever I say to that, only so much a parent can do. I am sorry for the people that sat around us, but they seem to have gotten it. Perhaps the service is the way it is as they think that they are the only show in town, I think not! Next time I'll take my business down the street to Valentino's! In these times, going out to eat is a treat and to be nickled and dimed and not meeting expectations is inexcusable! Customer service should be their priority, not a chore. read more

Sorry T-bones of Hudson, but you failed last night. I arrived around 8:45 pm and it was pretty slow. I ordered the espinachos, which I've had 50- 100 times in my lifetime. They are a favorite of mine, and if I'm going to T-bones, you can bet I'm getting some espinachos. What was served to me was a thick, congealed, burned disaster. The batch had clearly been sitting in a warmer all day. It was a disgusting and embarrassing excuse for my favorite item. Since T-bones is open late but it wasn't busy, I can only guess they didn't want to make a fresh batch. Instead of serving me that goop, I should have been told they were all out for the night, or they could have offered for me to wait for a fresh batch to be made. Went in with a large group (12) and took a while to get seated, despite a reservation. Understandable though, it's not a huge space and they really only have one option for a group that large. Still, once we were seated, they gave us two servers who did a great job and kept things moving. Food was very good, I had the baked seafood casserole which was tasty. Wife had the filet mignon and loved it. On the whole a solid eating experience. This place has been a Hudson institution, used to eat here 25 years ago as a kid. We picked T-bones while out for a drive and were looking for a dinner spot. We were seated right away. The menu has a bit of everything...seafood, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, etc. The BLT burger was filling and I enjoyed the sweet potato fries. My wife had the lobster stuffed haddock and ate every bite. One of the people in our group got homemade chips with their meal. They were delicious!!! The service was good, but the waitress sounded a little too much like a sales person trying to get us to get an appetizer, additional side dishes, and the desert. I really like this T-bones. The food is consistently good, and fresh. The waiststaff for the most part are excellent. The last time I went to T-bones was Mother's Day, and they more then accommodated our party of 10. My mother in law did a call ahead/ reservation, and we had to wait a few minutes after we arrived. No biggie. They gave us two free appetizer sampler platters for the "inconvenience." Way to go above and beyond. Plus, they were really nice to the kids. Bonus. read more

It seems like a lot of restaurants suffer when they have an obscenely large menu. This goes doubly so when they try to cover a very wide variety of food. T-Bones does not get away from this. Their menu is pretty big. The food is made from scratch, and the menu might not be Cheesecake Factory large, but it is sizable. I think it hurts them a bit. They don't really specialize in anything, so it's hard to expect something exceptional... But everything they do is actually quite decent. I've been to T-Bones perhaps a couple dozen times. I've probably ordered everything on the menu that looks good to me, and have never really come away disappointed. This goes the other way too; a meal at T-Bones is not going to wow anybody, either. If there's one big thing to nitpick about T-Bones, it is a tendency to over-salt things. Particularly the bread, which generally has an obscene coating of garlic salt when it is served (warm and otherwise tasty). If you're sensitive to salt, you may want to ask for less in your meal. If I had to pick a favorite item on the menu, it is the french onion soup. It is very salty (surprise!), but also rich, beefy, savory, and oniony. And it comes loaded with perhaps more cheese than you may find at most restaurants, too. The french onion soup here is better than at Les Halles, as a basis of comparison; sure, Les Halles isn't a bastion of amazing cooking, but it's a solid option in NYC. The desserts here are also very good. Something that sickens me at many places is the presence of a dessert menu that is clearly the exact same items purchased premade as every other restaurant in town. They are not here. The apple crisp is delicious, served sizzling hot, with ice cream that melts about as quickly as you can wolf it down. The service here ranges from so-so to good; it is not exceptional, however, they tend to be better than most places about making modifications (it helps that their food is really made from scratch!). Overall, T-Bones is a decent restaurant that is almost trying to not be amazing. It is crowded whenever I go there - always a moderate wait. There's no indication that things will improve or get worse. And you know what? That's not a half bad thing. Decent food, decent service, while there are few standout items on the menu, odds are that anyone with reasonable expectations won't be disappointed. read more

Very very large selection and you can tell some thought was put into coming up with interesting but at the same time comfort-food dishes. The way servers work there is if there is any food order up no matter who's section it must go out right away. Good for getting your meal hot but you will probably be looking for your server once or twice during the meal. Also you have to ask for bread. I grew up going to this restaurant. i was there when it first opened. i always got the fried broccoli. i left for 10 years and when i came back it wasn't on the menu. i asked and they made it. they still do whenever i am in town and go in for a cold one and fried broccoli they never bat an eye. one day my mom and i went after the lunch crowd and she ordered a special that the waitress said was being tested. it wasn't very good and she wrote down our feedback and took it off the check. this happened last summer. i do agree that it could use some updating but it's a casual comfortable place that i have never had any problem with. and it's great to be able to bring the kids and not worry about them throwing food on the floor. read more

I went earlier today for dinner with mom and friend.This place was recommended as they have been to a different location previously. The inside is clean.They are pretty busy, however, we got a table right away. We ordered something to drink and they ask if you want bread.I always say yes. It was pretty good, the only thing is that the butter is colder than what i like and that is soft. But thats ok.i can take it without it. I order the turkey dinner.Big plate of turkey, mashed potatoes, squash and homemade stuffing.with cranberry sauce. It was really good. Mom had the chicken fingers with french fries, which did not look like your typical ones you see.But she thought it was good. My friend had the fried haddock, very flaky and fresh.Fish is either very bad or very good. As long as it doesnt have a fishy smell and cooked properly. Two of us shared a caramel cheesecake. This one was different, it was a round small piece with caramel and vanilla sauce. It could have been a slight bit moist, but it was ok. Ok, I have been living in the southern NH area for over 20 years. This place has been here for at least that long. I've been visiting on and off for 20 years and I must say this is a great place for some good old comfort food! The place is nice, with a comfortable bar. At times catering to an older crowd but a good place to bring a young family. I've never really had a bad meal here. Crowd age ranges mid thirties to 60's for the most part. The head hostess can get cranky if it gets too busy but over the years I've noticed her mellow a bit. Beer is cold... Sandwiches are great! I love the Turkey with stuffing, cranberry and mayo sandwich. yummy! CBC is a big hit!!! The CBC is a T-Bones Original and signature sandwich. Home made chips are great. The help is very friendly, quick and attentive. Refilling drinks frequently or asking if you would like a refill. Prices are very reasonable. I would categorize T-Bones as a PUB. But a very up scale PUB. Of the two restaurants in that area, T-Bones would be my choice. read more

I am a regular T Bones goer. I tend to go in late night as I get out of work around 9/10. T bones is great because their kitchen is open until 1230. Which is super convenient for other industry employees. The service here is always great. I have never had a problem with any of the t bones employees. Always smiling and great service. The food is also not bad. Some of my favorite menu items are the buffalo chicken egg rolls, open face steak and the T Bone steak. The only complaint is beer prices but that's to be expected when going out to a restaurant. They have a points system here which is also super convenient for those who regulate the restaurant often. Overall, I keep coming back and will because of how great the service is. read more

We have been coming since they opened. My late Nana's favorite place, holds many memories.my husband and I went last weekend and were told it would be 35 minutes. We sat at the bar and after a while noticed everyone who came in at the same time got seated. The bartender asked our name because she was even concerned. She came back and said it would be 25min more! This was after an hr we had already been waiting. My husband went to the desk and talked to the girl who admitted they screwed up and our name was moved. Finally we were seated. The mgr came over and offered free dessert! Really? After an hr and a half?! We spent 30 plus on drinks already. My husband said no thanks , keep it. She said ok and walked off. The waitress wasn't very friendly either. Very spotty with service. Sometimes they're reasonably fast, but other times dead slow with multiple wrong orders. They've gotten better over the past few years, but I only come for specific meals because it's so close to home. Their prices have also gone up a bit. Still reasonable, but a little high. Slow service on a slow Tuesday night. Waitied over 25 minutes for our dinner. The waitress did not bring any bread to our table, forgot our salad and soup and the food was poor. They finally brought the salad right before the meal and I asked them to cancel the soup. Maybe if the waitress wrote our order down, she wouldn't have forgotten part of our order. Ordered their Reserve Premium Choice Pan-Seared Prime Rib Meatloaf - this was not pan seared and doubt had any prime rib. To call this meatloaf would be an understatement - it was more like Salisbury Steak, which I had better quality from a frozen dinner. Very disappointed, quality and service has gone down over the years. Thanks goodness we had gift cards and did not have to pay out of paocket. Four times in a row they messed up so I decided not to go there any more. The first one was that they brought the wrong order. Second one food was delayed for 40 minutes. Third we were served the main plate first and when I asked where was our soup, they brought it fifteen minutes later after we had finished the main dish. I asked one of waitress to bring some napkins. She passed by several times while talking with her co-worker about the last night "adventure!" and ignored us so I had to whistle loud like if I was in a football game to catch her attention thing I don't like to do and usually don't but... French onion soup is salty, couple of times we had to return it. I do not recommend this restaurant during busy days/hours like Saturdays afternoon or in holidays during the lunch time. I recently did a review on the Laconia location and realized I never reviewed the Hudson location which I consider my mainstay for entertaining visitors to my business facility in Hudson. I can honestly say I and everyone I've been with has always had a good meal here. Everytime my visitors come back, when its time to eat they seem to always ask to come back here. The service has always been good, of course it varies depending on your server, but I never had a bad experience here. Take out, we will sometimes call ahead and our order is usually ready when you arrive based on the timeframe given. The food has always been consistantly good. They have a nice bar area seperate from the main dining area which is nice for a drink and apps. As in my other review, I really like the T-Bones/Cactus Jack's rewards card and think it's a great deal. read more

I have to agree with the negative reviews above. I've been coming to the restaurant for years and have had good food and service. The take-out does not live up to the food you get at the restaurant and we also sat waiting over an hour watching other people seated before us. They did not admit to an error on the waitlist, though and the waitress was (unexpected) not nice, as we had been accustomed to. Then they messed up on my rewards card and lost my credits.
