The place needs to be renovated a little and the staff does not do a good job cleaning up after previous diners for new diners which is dissapointing. My wife and I joke that we've spent over $50k at this place over the last 20 years or so. We go here every Saturday night with very few exceptions. We do sometimes order take out when we're being lazy. Great American style food (love the CBC). It's true over the years prices have increased and portions have decreased, but the place is always packed on a weekend, especially as the holidays approach. Over the years, I'd say we've had a handful of completely awful experiences (if it was our first time, I doubt we'd ever have come back). However, those are far and few and the average night is exceptional although there are times the kitchen can be pretty slow (when there is a party of 10+ in the center and they're consuming the kitchen). They just opened outside seating which is great for the spring, fall and summer. The food can be pretty expensive, even if you don't order drinks. My wife, and both kids usually push about a $70-$80 bill on an average night with 4 dinners and an appetizer. read more

Got into T-Bones for a lunch a few weeks back and I have been meaning to post a review. While we were seated immediately adjacent to a fairly loud and obnoxious high school or college touring group, our service was great: quick beverage and bread service and a prompt order taking set the stage. I should note we had our three year old daughter with us. I have to say that T-Bones had the best children's menu I've seen so far as a parent. I am so sick of the chicken tender, grilled cheese, pizza rotation. Thank you, T-Bones, for offering something different. Our three year old ate salmon and broccoli. (yes, I know- not all three year olds eat this, but they had steak and turkey and other GOOD meals on the kids menu, as well). For the kids menu alone, we would go back. That bread...Yum. I ate a broiled haddock that was lovely, although I didn't care for the rice offered with the dish. My husband demolished his salad. All in all, it was a great trip and we left the restaurant feeling like great parents because we were able to give our daughter a nice meal without having to pay for an adult portion. I had a very good experience here. I ordered food to go -- Greek salad with steak and grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries -- and everything was delicious. Ordered a great Manhattan cocktail while I waited for the food at the bar and the bartender could not have been nicer. Went to T Bones for the first time last night. The service was prompt and friendly - the bread was really great (tasted like it was just out of the oven with some garlic salt or something). We were all happy with our meals and I tried the T Bone Ale which was surprisingly delicious and drinkable. All in all a very positive experience. read more

Chili, Caesar salad, and if you are lucky and they really listen to your request, the cornflake battered chicken tenders (that are truly fresh and recognizable) are definitely "good" items to rely on. Meal prep has been consistent of late and service has improved somewhat, depending upon the staff that you get. Booths vary considerably in comfort, so beware of that when you sit down. If the booth is so narrow that you are crammed in and have to sit so ramrod straight that you can't bend to take a bite of food or tuck in your napkin, ask for another table. I can only think that people who are larger than average could not even fit into some of these spaces. Most dishes here are fairly good, though a bit heavy handed with garlic and spices. The cooks simply cannot leave any dish alone. That said, prices are still much higher than they should be, no doubt an effect of their complicated frequent diner "Payback Bucks" rewards program, which is designed to keep you coming back in order to benefit from your earned points. We have been going here as a family for years. The menu is pretty extensive with options for lighter, heart healthy fare and a nice selection on the kids menu. Prices are decent, portions are large. Take advantage of the call ahead seating if you are going on a weekend or during the dinner rush. We really like the chicken fingers in a basket ( nice pieces of white chicken breast), as well as the chicken fajita salad. Prime rib was excellent as were most of the sandwiches we have tried. The size of my dinner was very small. 3 tips, and one very small scoop of rice. I was still hungry after all that. I recommend getting there early for parking. Stopped in today after a motorcycle ride. I had not been in a T-Bones for 9 years. Not that I don't like the place, there is no location near where I live. I perused the menu and could not find a plate I really liked from days long gone. It was the Blackened Chicken Pasta. I asked the server if they could make it and she said it would not be a problem! My family and I (7 adults and 2 children) have decided to try the T-Bones in Hudson. The line was very long, but it was worth a wait of 45 minutes. Our waiter, Anna, was very sweet, and all the staff were very friendly. It's warm and delicious food. Clean and comfortable surroundings. Two thumbs up for this one's owner. My wife is a picky eater but enjoyed the Yankee pot roast. I got a Reuben and it was spot on. My brother got fried haddock and fries, very fresh with delicious tarter sauce. My dad was the only one that didn't enjoy the place, but he complains about everything. Overall, great place to go, glad we stopped in. read more

This place was recommended to us by friends who live in the area, so I figured I could return the favor. The menu is diverse enough that anyone should be able to find something they like. I had seafood, my wife had steak, and both meals ended up being terrific. Truth be told, we had a minor issue with my wife's entree, but the staff worked hard to make it right, and gave us a gift card towards our next visit for our troubles. Nobody seems to do that anymore, and we certainly appreciated the effort. All restaurants make a mistake now and again, but the staff at T-Bones not only made it right, they also guaranteed that whenever we are in the area, we will be stopping by for lunch or dinner. I sat at the bar and must say the service was amazing, super attentive and friendly without being annoying. Had soup, salad and an entree and all of it was very good. I really do like this place. It's just as the name implies a really american place, which I don't find a lot of. The prices are decent, and the menu has several pages, I think 5 or 6 with a great variety of American food. Turkey Dinners, Hamburgers, Fish, a Fisherman's platter with Scallops, Onion Rings, maybe Shrimp. I've always had it cooked well, and never had a problem with their cooking. Ambiance and service I'd say are right on, service has been fast and the place is well staffed with enough servers. The lights are adequate to a decent level, not too bright, not too dim. The temperature is just fine, I was just the right temperature, not cold or hot. Right now it's winter, but going in the summer was just fine as well. Music is kept at a decent level, I really couldn't even hear it last time I was there. I found out last time that different music is played in the men's bathroom than the bar, at least. I was listening to "Genius in Love" as I walked through the bar to the bathroom, but once I arrived in the bathroom it was another song, I don't really know what the reason is for the difference in the two places, and it doesn't really matter, it's not good or bad, but it's a little peculiar. One rule they have that's someone what peculiar is they have a sign saying they don't allow "club colors." I didn't know what this meant at first, and I asked, what it means they don't want people like motorcycle bikers wearing their jackets and creating an un-family-like unfriendly atmosphere. I kind of like it since I wouldn't really want to be around bikers either. I'm certainly not in one, so I don't have to worry But, it doesn't mean you can't go there with the kids sports team after a victory (or even a loss- I remember once the losing team was eating better than we were at a restaurant, (not T-bones) and I was like, what?? :) ) They also have a diners program called paybacks in which for every $100 you spent you get $10 off. It also costs $10 to get into it, but I heard a hint that this might either be reimbursed or it goes as a credit to your next visit at this restaurant. I've seen better deals, personally and I don't think I'd sign up for this. At Outback Steakhouse in Tyngsboro, and the other blooming brands restaurant, if you spend $60 or more ($20 per each visit- not including alcohol) you get a 50% credit with a maximum of $20 off. If they eer were to adopt something like this, I may come more often. I really have to say, I think of the best, if not the best server there is a girl named Danielle LaRosa, who always does a good job, is speedy, asks all the right questions and is very knowledgeable about the menu. My wife and took a trip up to NH to peep some leaves but it is way to early. So she found T-bones on yelp and I remember going to the one in Salem NH a while back. The only thing I remembered that there was a interesting couple trying to get a free meal and they were so drunk! So I said it's early and who knows let's give it a try. So we ordered the app sampler and it was really good! Our server Robin was awesome also! She had perfect timing and was a really great professional server! So I ordered the T-bone steak and my wife ordered the prime rib. Mine came with a Greek salad which I chose. My wife's came with a French onion soup. They were both really good. You know you have a good server when they are attentive to filling your beverages. But you know you have a professional server when they have perfect timing in bringing your meal. Our main entrees came mine was cooked perfect! My wife was also but and a no big deal but. She didn't like the seasoning on her prime rib. Robin totally took notice when it came time to wrap them up. This is were you know you go to a great restaurant. With out any pause Robin brought our check over and said we were not charged for the prime rib. We will go back for sure! This is a great restaurant. The food over the last 14 months has been predictably very very good. We frequent the restaurant 2-3 times a week. They honor veterans with their "Veteran's Tuesdays " discount. If anything is ever the slightest bit off, they bend over backwards to make it right. They have a frequent customer program that is second to none. Bonus points add up very quickly toward meals. There is one peculiar policy. We were in the area and starving. Never been to a T-Bones before so we thought we would try it out. My husband said his steak was cooked perfectly to order, my food (mashed potatoes, corn on cob and steak tips was great as well. Unfortunately I am allergic to preservatives and we still do not know which one. The spices used on the steak tips must have had one of those preservatives in them. My neck swelled out and my throat closed up making it really hard to breathe and unable to speak. My husband knows my medical problem and gave me epi pens to try and weaken the reaction. Their was a waitress there doing the jaw thrust method to keep my airway open. Of course an ambulance came and had to take me to the emergency room where I received another medications Intravenously to reduce the swelling and bring back my voice. All of this with a waitress on her very 2nd night of work at the restaurant. A couple days later I called the restaurant to pay the bill and the waitress and they refused to accept money from me even though this was not something that they could have prevented. The food and service was great and I look forward to going back, just no steak tips next time. read more

We've returned here several times over the year, and I still agree with my original review, except that the service can be so very bad here, and today's experience was a perfect example: It wasn't crowded, but our server was as hard to reach as could be when we really did need more water, more ketchup, and it was so unacceptable to us that one diner waited and waited and waited for our server's attention while refraining from eating fries because she needed something to drink! It's just that bad. I actually put my empty ketchup cup at the end of the table so that someone, maybe, would actually notice. Nope. Another server was very present for his diners, and I resented that we were seated with a bunch of other diners all around but were almost entirely ignored by our server. Two stars only because the food is good. They actually put sugary root beer in the diet soda dispenser: an absolutely unacceptable slip-up for people that need to watch their sugar! When we brought it to her attention, she picked up our glasses and stuck her nose over them to smell them and argue with us that they were not root beers! But lo and behold, she came back a while later to tell us that yes indeed, they mixed the two up. Speaking of drinks, I really hate that you have to ask for a stupid straw. If you don't want people to use straws, then stop putting ice in drinks. I hate the guilt trip of having to freaking ask for a straw -- I don't mind recyclable straws at all -- so the drink doesn't spill out all over my clothing when the ice gets in the way. I hate that, and I hate that you can't just have enough ketchup given to you for your burger and fries. This is just a lack of consideration for the diner. We couldn't get our server's attention to ask for more, so it was really frustrating. She purposefully walked back into the kitchen along an aisle where there were no diners, and the disappeared from sight for long periods of time every time, not coming out with any food for anyone, so who knows what was going on with her. Couldn't flag her down for anything. To me service is half of the picture, and here, with the absolute disregard for our needs, service doesn't measure up. I can make and eat very good food at home, but the reason we go out is to be treated and served and made to feel welcome. Forget this place and try one of the other locations. Service is just too inconsistent here, and they just don't get it. read more

We've been coming here for over 12 years! Eating in is good the staff is nice but everytime we get takeout the food is horrible! Tonight I got the chicken Cesar salad, the dressing was not their normal dressing & the chicken marinade was not the same either. My daughter got a garden salad & she ended up throwing it out! It had all first of things I it that in 2 years they never put in salads! & the dressing was hardly that more like just crumbled huge chunks of blue cheese! GREAT FOOD ALWAYS!!! I have never had bad food there ever! But besides the food being amazing, the bartenders are as well!!! They try so hard to keep up as much as they can!But if you go after 5pm they are so busy that I feel bad for them! It is definitely not their fault and they definitely cannot fit another bartender behind that bar! Each bartender definitely does the best they can do but with how busy it is and the way the bar is set up they not able to do as good of a job as you know they are capable of because of the small area they have to work in.
