The quality of food has gone downhill. The staff is always amazing but the portion size for the amount of money charged for hospital quality food is borderline disrespectful. I go to T Bones quite a bit for my prime rib. I called yesterday just to order a couple of orders of mashed potatoes. The girl that answered the phone was very rude to me. Apparently, she never heard of anyone ordering just mashed potatoes and said she didn't think she could put the order in because I wasn't ordering anything to go with it. I explained that I already had dinner but wanted T Bones mashed potatoes to go with it. Once again she was pretty insistent that I order more stuff. I think it will be a while before I go back there. Visited tonight & it was a slower evening in the restaurant. My friend & I were seated with Josh & he couldn't have been more friendly! We expressed we needed a little more time to order & he never once made us feel rushed. He allowed us to chat, order as we were ready & was the perfect level of attentive. We each had the special lemonade cocktail, my friend with Tito's, mine with Milagro tequila & they were perfect! We ordered the espinaca dip & it was delivered quickly. Josh offered us some more chips when we were running low & our dinners followed quickly after. I had the crispy chicken salad (always a personal fave) and my friend had the fish tacos. Went for a late lunch today with my wife. First time we had been in many years. We ordered the Jerk wings from the lunch specials menu. The menu said 1/2 pound of wings, fries, bread (the bread was like garlic bread, toasted with spice) and coleslaw. Asked if we could make a substitution for the fries that would be same price. Waitress said we could and decided on the baked potato and my wife requested it loaded. Waitress said okay. We decide to start with this and see how it would be. It came out quickly. The wings where okay but there was no way there was a 1/2 pound. There were 5 pieces of chicken, one drum and 4 of the lesser 'wings'. The toast tips were very salty, too salty in fact. We never got the coleslaw. The 'loaded' baked potato had a tiny amount of melted cheese , some sour cream and chives. When the bill came, I pointed out that the charge for the lunch special was $19.99 not the $14.99 menu price. I pointed it out to the waitress and she said that she would check it out. When she returned, she said that the EXTRA $5.00 was for the 'loaded' baked potato. First of all, when we ordered we asked specifically if we could substitute at no additional cost. Why can't a waitress tell you if something costs more when you ask for what's included at the same cost? How difficult would that be? Beside the fact that there is absolutely no justification for charging $5.00 stinking dollars for a few shreds of cheese. She ended up taking the charge off. To top it off, $6.99 for a 16 oz. Coors Light draft and $7.49 for a 22 oz. is absurd. Not a happy camper. read more

What is it with this restaurant? (Hudson, NH). I frequent this restaurant often. And I usually order the same thing, Charlie's broiled haddock with broccoli and rice pilaf. And every time I ask the broccoli and pilaf be hot, and every time it is barely luke warm if not actually cold. Today, it was cold, soft butter didn't even melt on the broccoli. On Thursday, November 21st my fiancé, my 6 month old daughter, and I dined at T-Bones. After a short wait, we were seated in a booth with a baby high chair that was already attached to the table. We sat the baby down and started to read through the menu. All of a sudden, the baby slipped out of the high chair and landed under the table. This was very traumatic for us considering we are new parents and our daughter is just 6 months old. The baby started screaming and it wasn't apparent to us if she was seriously injured or not. During this moment of chaos, the waitress came up to us and said she was going to get the manager. Moments later, the manager came up to us and asked us if everything was okay. At that moment, NO, nothing was okay. Our baby just fell 3 feet and possibly hit her head. It was a very scary moment for us and being new parents, we had no clue what to do. After a thorough examination, the baby appeared to be okay. We didn't see any obvious signs of injury and we were able to settle her down. We decided to stay for dinner. Once the baby settled down, I decided to inspect the high chair that the restaurant set up for us. It turns out, there were straps that were hidden under the cushion of the high chair that we were supposed to strap the baby in with. At this point, you might be thinking this is our fault for not knowing how to strap our baby into a high chair. Trust me, we feel like complete idiots for allowing this to happen. In our defense, the restaurant set up the high chair and should have at least taken a moment to tell us how the chair works. The high chair we have at home looks similar to the one at the restaurant and does NOT have straps but instead has a piece that keeps the baby seated in the chair. Like I said, we are new parents. We are not an expert in every single baby product. The restaurant set up the chair for us and I feel like they should have taken the 30 seconds it would have taken to either EXPLAIN to us how the chair works, or at least PULL the straps out from underneath the cushion to make it more obvious the baby needed to be strapped in. I've attached a picture of the high chair in question to this review, please take a look at it, As you can see, the high chair straps are hidden. The kicker to this whole thing is, once the baby settled down, the restaurant treated us as if nothing even happened. I think the manager could have came over to make sure that we were all definitely okay. She could have come over to investigate how and why this happened. How often does a 6 month old baby fall out of a high chair and land under a table? It was very obvious we were in a lot of distress at that moment. When I mentioned to my fiancé that we should probably leave the restaurant (to go to the hospital), the manager asked us not to leave. I was very surprised to see that when the bill came, they didn't even take a nickel off of it. There's no amount of money in this world that could have made us feel better about what happened. I think comping our meal would have at least made us feel taken care of and would have come off empathetic about what happened. T-Bones, PLEASE train your employees to explain to parents how these high chairs work. Please take the 30 seconds to explain that there are straps that might be hidden under the cushion. Parents are not experts in every single type of high chair. If you set up the chair, take responsibility in making sure the straps are visible and the baby is seated properly. When something traumatic happens at your restaurant to your customers, take care of them.... Even if it may have been partly their fault. -Bob read more

This place is friggan ridiculous! I was debating on what and where I wanted to eat (Sunday September 1, 2019) and was in the mood for "Teriyaki Steak" of some sort. I looked online ahead of time and saw that these people had what I was craving. So I proceeded to the restaurant, I was met by a couple RUDE girls, that were taking names and giving pagers to all incoming customer's. (Not a big deal to wait) infact, they told me 30 minutes and it ended up being 20. So that was fine. I get seated and I'm placed in the middle of the restaurant, where I feel I am "on display" that was strike #1. Then the waiter comes over to me and I gave my order right away, having walked in knowing what I wanted to eat already. So he proceeds to take my order, then walks away. I stopped him before he got too far, he never asked me what I wanted to drink, so I called him back and had asked him about a drink. He says to me: "Oh yeah what would you like?" So I told him. He brought it back to me and didn't offer me a straw, so I had to ask A DIFFERENT WAITER for a straw. He brought me a straw that was made out of PAPER! Strike #2. The straw was barely able to withstand a few sips and eventually became so saturated and disgusting, that I had to keep asking for replacement straws. Strike #3. So 45 minutes or more goes by and there was NO FOOD at my table yet. He then decides to come over and tell me after already waiting so ridiculously long "Oh we're behind in the kitchen" alright, I understand and I get it, you're busy, things happen. But the fact there was no communication early on, caused me to start evaluating their level of urgency to the customer's. Strike #4. (I should have just got up and walked out) But I didn't.. So now the food finally makes it way over to and is placed on my table. There were only (3 steak tips) on the entire plate and probably less than 10 french fries and 1 onion ring. The steak tips looked like "ALPO" which if you don't know is a wet dog food. So I bit into them and tried them out, they were very well flavored (that's the only good thing I have to report here.) But tasted like they were made out of "rubber bands" Strike #5. I gave too many opportunities, when I should have just refused to pay for any of it and just walked out. The service was TERRIBLE, the food was disgusting and the portions were embarrassing! I left there hungrier than when I walked in! I WILL (((NEVER))) BE BACK! I also wanna pass along to anyone reading this, if you're in the same position as I was (in the beginning) looking for a steak dinner and have never been here before, SAVE.. YOUR.. MONEY.. you can go to the supermarket and get better food and bigger portions from a T.V. Dinner! This is no way to run a business and I hope these folks end up getting shut down eventually. I will finish with this: The bill came to $22.98, I gave the waiter $23.00 and nothing more. I really hope he doesn't spend the $0.02 cents foolishly and worse yet, in the same spot! What incredible service!! For a Friday and a party of 5, we only waited 15 minutes. They were, of course, busy. Our server, Jenna, was terrific!! She was friendly, respectful, and prompt with our order. She kept us updated every five minutes as to the status of bringing our food. I ordered the T bone and it was just a little too done. Not only did they allow me to eat what was brought, they replaced it with an entire new meal, took the cost of it off my check, and, Julie gave me a gift card for a future visit. Utterly disgusting. Unusual Ruben was definitely worthy of the name. It was unusual in the sense it was cold and the coleslaw was dripping out of it. The lack of meat was also laughable. When I told the waitress the issues she made it like it was my problem and reluctantly took it back to the kitchen. At the end of the meal when the check came they actually had TWO of the unusual Rubens on the check. If I was not super observant I would have paid for two of these disgusting sandwiches. Called the same waitress over to alert her of the issue and she told me she had to ring it in again to have the kitchen make another one. Really? Solid craving for burgers hit today and this was the perfect answer to the need! Take out order was made here. Not only were both burgers perfectly made to order, it was warm and delicious when we got home. Most importantly I'd like to note the hostess (Kailey!?) that took my order on the phone was super courteous, prompt and friendly. I appreciated her asking if we needed utensils or not. That is a good step towards reducing waste and our impact on landfill. She was super customer focused and engaging when I went to pickup the order. I also want to call out positively, Tbones and their parent organization on their decision to make an environmentally conscious decision to use 'clear' take out containers which are actually recyclable as compared to cheaper black take out containers which are not accepted by many towns/recycling providers. I wish I had pic of the burgers to add to this review, but they have been long gone and immediately consumed excitedly. Went here the other night and it was delicious! I have been here before but that was around 10 years ago. We got the homemade chips with ranch to start with and then some popcorn and bread. All was delicious. The chips were so good for homemade chips and the ranch to dip them in was perfect. The bread is a loaf and so good and different from any other restaurants bread. The popcorn is so salty it is delicious. Then I got the French onion soup and it was yummy. Wasn't too salty at all and liked that you could order a cup cause most places French onion soup only comes in a bowl size. Then I got the special which was the blacken chicken. It was delicious. I would say though blacken chicken usually is spicy but it was not.. at least for my taste but it is hard to hit my spicy level. My boyfriend got the chicken pot pie and loved it. He did say though he wish there as potatoes in the actual pie but said it was good even though there wasn't. Definitely will be back for more! read more

I am finding that this place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the server is great and the food is off the hook. Other times the server seems mad that they are working and the food is eh....... Sometimes the wait for your food is very long, other times its out so quick you didn't have time to enjoy the bread plate. So, ya never know what to expect when you sit down......... Reason for the four stars is that when they are on - its a great place to eat, so, benefit of the doubt if you will. I do have to say that without a doubt the French Onion Soup "NEVER" fails, by far one of the best I have had. Ya, we will go back, throw the dice, and see what happens. I ordered a turkey dinner. The turkey was tender enough to cut with a fork. Mashed potatoes and gravy were perfect. Love stuffing but not the one I received. Tasted like someone accidentally dropped a package of pepper into it. You can always add pepper...you can't remove it...obviously. Would definitely buy again if pepper wasn't so prominent. Very disappointing performance Sunday night all around. My friends and I got there around 830pm for what we were hoping would be a nice dinner. Sunday night is 50% off bottles of wine but the wine we wanted they didn't have sadly, so we settled for a different bottle. My two friends and I were going to get three different steaks and share it amongst us. My friend starts the ordering off by having the 25oz T-Bone and seconds after the words come out of his mouth, the waitress said "we might be out of that hold on one second." My friend and I look at each other half heartedly laughing knowing that they were going to be out of it....story of our lives. She comes back and not only tell us is she is out of the T-Bone but she is out of all steak. They do have the steak tips if we wanted that though.......my friends and I just started laughing. The waitress also relayed the message that they are out of dessert, except for like two things. We decided to take a couple minutes to regroup and figure out what to order. To be honest, it would have been nice if the host told us before we sat down that they were out of steak as we would have went elsewhere for a steak dinner. One of my friends orders the country fried chicken and the other goes for the steak tips. I passed on eating dinner as I had my heart set on steak and wasn't settling for steak tips. As we were sitting in disbelief waiting for the food, we started talking about how it has been quite some time since we've been here. We weren't sure if this was the new normal or not, however we did notice that we were never given bread before we ordered which use to be a given right when you sat down. We didn't care to ask for the bread as we had already been waiting a bit for the food and knew it would be out in a couple minutes. My one friend really enjoyed his country fried chicken, while my other friend was left very underwhelmed by the steak tips. He had to smother the steak tips with his sides and sauce to try to make it more enjoyable. I also noticed my friend who got the steak tips never got his garden salad that is suppose to come with it so I mentioned something to him about the salad and he said "what's the point of asking, they are probably out of lettuce." The waitress cleared our plates then came back and asked us if we wanted anything else? My friends and I chuckled, not to be rude, but because we were told they only had two dessert options available. We didn't even bother to ask what dessert they had left as we just wanted to leave. We aren't sure if things have changed as it has been many months since we've eaten here. I left a 4 star review a while back and I'm leaving this experience with a 1 star for the time being. We went for lunch today. I wanted the Philly Cheese Steak wrap, but it wasn't on the menu anymore. I asked the bartender if they could do it. Yup! I had it on a low-carb lavash wrap. I think they grilled it because it was not falling apart at all. My friend had the Cajun Chicken sandwich also on the lavash wrap. She said it was delicious. Then the Bruins scored. My wife and I joke that we've spent over $50k at this place over the last 20 years or so. We go here every Saturday night with very few exceptions. We do sometimes order take out when we're being lazy. Great American style food (love the CBC). It's true over the years prices have increased and portions have decreased, but the place is always packed on a weekend, especially as the holidays approach. Over the years, I'd say we've had a handful of completely awful experiences (if it was our first time, I doubt we'd ever have come back). However, those are far and few and the average night is exceptional although there are times the kitchen can be pretty slow (when there is a party of 10+ in the center and they're consuming the kitchen). They just opened outside seating which is great for the spring, fall and summer. The food can be pretty expensive, even if you don't order drinks. My wife, and both kids usually push about a $70-$80 bill on an average night with 4 dinners and an appetizer. read more

Eh. I used to go to T-Bones every once in a while when I lived in town. Went back during a trip home recently and wasn't impressed. Nothing was bad but nothing was great either. Food was ok but overpriced for what it is. Why get steak tips here for $19.99 from a waitress who doesn't want to be there when you can just go to the 99 and get better / more steak tips for $12.99? And they're polite at the 99. (I should also note that the menu says an order of tips is 3/4 lb. But no way 4 tips is 3/4 lb.) I had a very good experience here. I ordered food to go -- Greek salad with steak and grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries -- and everything was delicious.
