    Chicken Waldorf

Craving a sandwich? Look no further. This place is the small town feel with great food. Sandwich shop is delicious. Egg salad sells out quick but so many more selections. The crew is so nice and helpful.

Great sandwich shop! It's very close to where I work, and was recommended by two of my coworkers. Workers are very friendly and will text us everyday to let us know the soup of the day. I usually get the veggie sandwich on squaw bread and a pickle. Portions are good and the value is great; a half sandwich, pickle, and canned drink is about $8. Would highly recommend!

    Turkey Delight on French roll

Fullerton is a sandwich desert, right? I have been working near downtown for over a year and haven't been able to find a decent (non-chain) sandwich place. If anybody knows of others, please let me know! I've had this place on my radar for awhile, but to be honest, the pics didn't make me want to try it. The sliced bread just didn't appeal to me. I noticed on a pic of their menu (from a few years ago) that a French roll is an option. I decided to give them a shot, and i'm glad I did. I tried the Turkey Delight (turkey, lettuce, cream cheese, cranberry sauce) on a French roll. I am a fan! This is definitely not the best sandwich I have ever had, but it was good enough, and cheap! My sandwich was less than $10, which includes an up-charge for the roll, and also comes with a pickle. The rolls are super basic, you aren't going to get some fancy bread with a nice crunch. But their produce is FRESH and they don't skimp on anything.

    Pastrami sandwich

Stopped by here for a bite to eat, opted for a pastrami sandwich on a French roll. It was delicious! The sandwich was freshly made with warm soft bread, had perfect amount of pastrami, mustard and pickles. Service was great, and the restaurant was clean had seating inside and outside. No public restrooms available.

Visiting from San Diego, and now I'm sad we don't have one of these near me. This is easily one of the best sandwich spots I've tried. Such a nice small mom and pop shop. The staff are nice and informative, and everything tastes fresh! I got half of the Chicken Waldorf (apples, grapes, walnuts, lettuce, and mayo on their soft sourdough bread is such a good combo. Along with the TC combo, which had various generous slices of deli meats in it. It's affordable and filling, and there's plenty of parking, which is a huge plus. It's also next to other businesses, so it's super convenient for lunch. Plus, they have cookies, chips, and yogurt smoothies, which is such a nice touch.

I visited tc's yummies for the first time. It's located in a plaza next to the Hamahippo restaurant. I got a veggie sandwich on squaw bread and it was absolutely delightful! Service was great and the sandwich was fresh. There are clean tables to eat inside and ac is always a plus. Definitely coming back for more sandwiches !

A true staple Fullerton gem -- and in my opinion, home of the best veggie sandwich in town -- and I'm not even close to a vegetarian! Chicken cashew, turkey, tuna and any sandwich I've had is assembled with love and with generous toppings. Where else can you get a quality sandwich like this for under 9 bucks AFTER tax in today's economy?! Amazing service and attitude that makes you want to return. Keep up the great work!

    #4: Honey Baked Ham
    Sebastian C.

This place has been open for over 15 years now according to the oldest Yelp review and I barely just heard about it the other day. I was on the way home from the dentist and had to stop by CVS right across the street to get a prescription and this sandwich place was the first thing that popped up in my Yelp search bar so I had to try it out! Got their honey baked ham with jalapenos on wheat bread. Very simple homemade sandwich but extremely delicious! Each sandwich also comes with a pickle to enjoy on the side. Every single ingredient is so fresh. Prices are fairly cheap and portions will fill up the average human being. I 100% recommend this little hole-in-the-wall if you're on a budget and looking for a simple sandwich. I will definitely be back for the great service and delicious food!

Waldorf chicken salad on squaw bread is the best. Service is excellent. It's a very small deli (for lack of a better word this very moment) place with a few tables and chairs. Most people I noticed come in pick up their lunch and head back to work. They have quite a few customers and because their food is delish.

The sandwiches here are amazing. Soup and other things are not so reliable in terms of stock, but I love the sandwiches.

First off, I came in for two pastrami sandwiches which they promptly came out to me and said they didn't have any more pastrami. The lady was nice and said she would upgrade me to a different type of pastrami that actually cost more. Well whatever this crap was it didn't taste like pastrami at all. I got one soft bread and one crispy bread and the crispy bread could've chipped a tooth on a normal mouth so thank God I've got implants. Both sandwiches were painfully boring and I wish I had something good to say. I'm not sure what was put in my wife's sandwich either when she got explosive diarrhea less than 10 minutes after eating her sandwich? The cold cuts tasted off and I wanna say that they were rotten because I've been burping it all day. Something positive? I guess the store looked nice on the inside? My mom usually made the classic ham and cheese or turkey and cheese, so sandwiches never felt like something I got overly excited about. Then I tried the Turkado, and honestly... I get it now. That sandwich was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of turkey, lettuce, and that signature sauce. I don't know what exactly is in that sauce, but do they share the recipe? Because there's something about it that makes the sandwich special. It ties everything together perfectly. I also tried the Baja Chicken, and this one honestly proved me wrong. I've never been the biggest fan of chicken sandwiches on that type of bread, but Board & Brew made me question that entire opinion because this sandwich was magnificent. Flavorful, satisfying, and way better than I expected. Now I'm sitting here realizing I probably need to work my way through the rest of the menu because there are still several sandwiches I haven't tried. The Background: Eggbred is a fast-food establishment with fast-casual aspirations. You pay at the counter but the meals are handcrafted, so there's a wait similar to a sit-down restaurant. Plus, the prices are higher than a Mickey D's -- $9.79 to $13.99 for sandwiches and $9.99 to $17.99 for burritos, for example. The Food: I ordered the Ribeye California Burrito and it was delicious. The beef was tender and moist, the avocado was fresh, and the cilantro crema was tasty. The lemonade was very meh, unfortunately. The Setting: Located in a smallish strip mall on Harbor Boulevard, it has limited free parking in the front. Not a problem on a weekday mid morning, but I imagine it would be quite difficult to find parking at peak times. Inside, it had a cool, modern aesthetic, but it was small, not ideal for mid to large-size groups. Customer Service: My cashier was friendly and quite knowledgeable, providing an eggcellent recommendation (the Ribeye California Burrito). However, the cook staff took awhile making the food (it took about 20 minutes for my order to come out). The Pros and Cons: So, is the food worth the hype and premium prices? Yes and no. It's essentially a fast-food restaurant charging sit-down prices with longish wait times. Your satisfaction level will depend largely on your expectations: if you're thinking it's fast food, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the care they put into the food and freshness of the ingredients. You'll be disappointed if you're expecting a more premium experience to match the premium prices. The Conclusion: I would need to return to try the other dishes on the menu to give a definitive answer, but based on my first experience I didn't feel like I got enough value for the price I paid and the wait I endured. While I would be open to trying their other dishes, I would not return unless I was in the area by chance.
