Our family just had many amazing meals at Stoney Creek Inn with great service. Our original dinner plans in the area fell through last minute and they accommodated our party of 7 without a reservation during a super busy time. Every single dish was excellent and the waitress was attentive and helpful. We went there by accident but can't wait to go back ASAP and explore more of their menu and their outside area. We went here once during the summer and twice this winter. The Ambiance is superb, service was good twice and once subpar. The food is good and the new updates to the bar and restaurant area is beautiful. The owner seems to be hands on, every time we were there he was there and made sure everything was good. As a non chain restaurant we need more of this, because it makes customers want to come back. Also we seen delivery of the fresh seafood, and that's why we went back and it was really good in the seafood fra diavolo , but the sauce is not a true arrabiata sauce, it was more of a blush sauce that was spicy. Domestic beer is cold and priced well, the old fashion was meh, I've had better and worse so for 14 dollars I kinda expect more maybe train in an amazing drink so everyone does them the same. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here, though it was nothing formal planned with the restaurant - we just made a reservation. This visit was super disappointing because we had to wait almost an hour past our reservation time because tables were not turning fast enough. They didn't tell us in advance that our 13 person party would be split into two tables across from each other, where we could not talk with one another. However, the food was delicious - hence 5 stars still. 10/10 recommend the New York Strip, boom boom shrimp, seafood pasta, salads, and especially the cream of crab soup. SO good. My husband and I went back recently (3 months after our rehearsal dinner) and the food was just as good, although the menu had changed slightly. The portions are huge and prices are reasonable. This place is the best kept secret in Dauphin County. All of the food is fresh. I have not had a bad meal there yet. Their prime rib is Grade A and their pork chops are the best. I have never even found a brown piece of lettuce in their salads. I'm that girl that pushes all the brown lettuce to the side of my plate. At Stoney Creek I eat every morsel. Nick the owner, is on point with quality control. The staff is friendly and efficient and the place is clean. If you've read my other reviews, I'm all about cleanliness. They also have a great deck with live entertainment, during the warmer months. It sits right on the creek and it has a picturesque waterfall, as your deck backdrop. One of our best dining experiences recently! It had been many years since last dining at Stoney Creek so we didn't know what to expect, but from the initial greeting to the final bill, it was a welcoming experience. Our waitress, Patricia, was phenomenal from her friendly/professional demeanor to her expertise in waiting on us this visit. If you have her, be sure to upgrade to the Caesar Side salad, which she prepares and adds extra touches to make it one of the best I've ever had! The menu offers a nice variety of choices to meet everyone's tastes. We started off with a specialty cocktail and a house Manhattan, both very good. Appetizer were the calamari, very tasty, and the Brussel sprouts in a mild chili sauce. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. Entrees consisted of Shrimp Scampi (very good, large portion, and seasoned perfectly); the Pasta del Greco (very good); and the Shrimp Santorini (lots of shrimp). The highlight was my entrée, grilled pork chops! The order came with two - ¾ inch thick grilled pork chops, which were amazing. Some of the best I've ever had and I could cut with a fork! The portions were large enough that we took half our meals home and had them for dinner the next night! With the quality of food and portion size, I found the prices to be very reasonable. I do recommend getting a reservation on the weekend. We will definitely return and sample other menu items and sit on the amazing deck when it is warmer. read more

We celebrated my 45th birthday here last evening. Our waitress, Lacey, was fantastic! She was personable, friendly, and accommodating. The food, however, was something to be desired. There were 9 people in our party and only 2 of the 9 had no complaints about their meal. The crab soup was salty, the scallops were overcooked and like rubber, the salmon was served with a strange slimy "wine" sauce that smelled rancid. We told Lacey we were unhappy with the food and she offered to bring us something else. Shortly after, a man came to our table, waving his arms and talking in a very condescending tone, as if he were angry about our complaints. He very rudely offered to bring us something else, and when we declined, he stormed off. Only then we find out, that's the owner! How unprofessional and uncalled for! Lacey did make it up by taking the items off of our bill which was so gracious. However, we will not be visiting Stoney Creek Inn again. read more

I have never been to this place, and it was surely delicious wish we were able to sit outside by water. However, it was all taken. I do recommend if a nice day to try and get a table looking out at Little Waterfall very beautifully. We ordered two appetizers, and they were both very good! First time going to Stoney Creek Inn, and we ended up walking out after sitting for over 30 minutes with ZERO service. No one came to take our drink or food order, and to make it worse, people who came in after us were waited on and even served their food! Our waiter was the bartender, and he passed our table multiple times without even acknowledging us. Another waitress came over--not to take our order--but to grab a drink menu off our table for another group! The lack of basic customer service was unbelievable. This place doesn't even deserve one star. Save your time and money--don't bother coming here. Major disappointment! read more

Highly disappointed with the way we were treated last night at an attempt to eat at this restaurant around 4pm. The girl at the front of the patio barely looked up when we arrived because she was too busy texting on her phone and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, she replied well my first one isn't until 6:15pm and then took us to a table furthest away from the waterfront, dropped some menus and said she'd be right with us. Then she proceeded to go and have a cigarette with the rest of the staff outside in plain site. The table next to us had been there for several minutes before us and still didn't even have their drinks. We waited for about 5 minutes and felt like we weren't wanted there since no one returned, so we left. I've been in the industry for over 20 years and a smile or kind words can go a long way. We went to a different restaurant and were greeted with multiple friendly faces and a we will be right with you, which they were. Excellent customer service and a much better experience! read more

Our first visit here with a friend for dinner at 5 pm on a Saturday evening. We sat in the bar area instead of the dining room area. Loved our waiter who was helpful and spot on even though he was, at first, the only person taking care of the bar side. Many choices from seafood to sandwiches and everything sounded delicious! Stopped by here for lunch while in the area. It turned out to be a surprisingly decent spot that was in a fairly quiet area. We got patio seating which was nice.... large patio table with lots of seating (although most tables were on the smaller side... 4 chairs only). Our group had to split into multiple tables cause the handful of larger ones were taken. It was right by a creek, which was cool. Menu had fairly standard American items. Got a ruben which was pretty good. The meat and also the sauerkraut couldve been a bit more flavorful, so I needed to add a lot of sauce that they provided on the side. After adding the sauce it was fairly good. Prices of most items were in the $10-20 range. read more

And he was right., He didn't like any deviations from the menu, forgot a salad, brought cold potatoes and we had to ask for more water. As for food, there was fake crab in the over salted soup and my veal was over cooked. Stoney Creek Inn gave me a home town feel, think Cheers (where everybody knows your name) which was a welcomed change from chain restaurants. The wood walls, stained glass windows, working jukebox and cozy setting made it easy to see why the regulars love it. Our waitress Lexi was super sweet, she ran down the specials and was attentive throughout. When they say "Special" they mean it. We started with the Barbarian pretzel log stuffed with crab meat and severed with seasoned beer cheese, which was a top tier crab pretzel experience not too salty or loaded with filler. I also tried the PB& J Manhattan, great drink but a little too strong for me (full disclosure I'm a lightweight) During a time when we are paying upwards of $6 for a dozen of eggs, a NY Strip topped with butterfly fried shrimp & crab cake served with loaded baked potato and house salad for $29.99 is insane!!! I would pay that for the crab cake alone which was super lumpy very little filler. The steak was prepared correctly and the shrimp was crispy. Although I was ready for a nap after I couldn't resist the baklava cheesecake. I love both separately so I had to try it. The cheesecake adds a smoothness to the flakiness of the baklava and will be something I order again. Overall the family owned feel and food will keep me coming back. Nick, the owner personally checked with each table, you could tell he loves what he does. It was such a casual vibe and not over crowded and the outdoor space looks like it will be fun to dine in the spring/summer. Definitely a place to dine if you're in Dauphin. read more

Great local spot serving up a nice menu with some seasonal changes here and there. I sat outside and enjoyed the view of the water and the nice misting fans they had. The only thing I don't like is drinking out of plastic and having my cocktail out of plastic. I get it with safety and covid and all but it just sets the tone for me. I can accept it if i'm at a kids party or kegger but when I spend good money on a nice meal i want to drink out of a glass. Service was good --Next time I go- I will try something different as the prime rib is large but was not my favorite. The fresh lump crab meat appetizer was enjoyed at my table. What a great place this is. Went there shortly after they opened at noon. It was a chilly day and was expecting it to be empty and cold as they were just opening. We enjoyed dinner here. The stuffed mushrooms were my favorite with lots of crab meat. Clams casino were good too. Our friend had boom boom shrimp. They had just enough heat to be tasty. I ordered the Greek salad with salmon. I did not know it would be smoked salmon. Still good. The salad was too too big. More than enough for two,people. The feta on the salad as well as the olives and capers were great. Our friends had fish and chips with shrimp. Again so much food! More than enough for one person! We have tried to get in there all summer. I have called in the past to make a reservation and no one has answered. I called tonight and gave the lady a time for 2 people. She put me on hold. After 8 minutes she never came back to me. The previous time I called and a bartender put the phone down on the bar. I could hear her carrying on her business. After 7 and a half minutes I hung up. The waiter said that we can only have one type of sauce bc 'this is how it comes'. The drinks, mojitos, had no alcohol inside. Main dishes, we could not eliminate the bacon from a burger because, "this is how it comes"... Again, overall quality of food and service was awful. A very attractive venue, adjacent to the falling waters of Stoney Creek. The seafood aroma as you approach the front door is intoxicating. And the meal was memorable. I got the sauteed seafood, and did they ever deliver goods. Four big shrimp, four U-10 scallops, clams and mussels. And that was half of it. The other half was a full meal's worth of linguine tossed with sherry cream and lump crab. I have a big appetite, and I didn't make it through it. Curiously, though, my wife didn't get nearly as much of a meal with her stuffed flounder. She said what she got was delicious, but the portion was not quite worth the price. This place gets 5 stars right off the bat, for the locale itself! It is pretty heavenly to sit on the deck by the dam. The staff are all super nice and friendly, and we never had to wait long for anything. The last two times we ate there the food was really top notch! The seafood boil featuring a Maine lobster was simply divine, I felt like I was in Maine eating it. The salads are great with their dressings, I liked the bleu cheese alot. The time before last a friend ordered the pork chops and was in heaven, so my last visit I ordered them and they were OUTSTANDING. Grilled to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. Highly recommend! The drinks aren't super great compared to some places, but they are good enough for me. And the bonus for me is, they are close to home! A hidden treasure in Dauphin. They are often full to capacity so I would recommend go on a weeknight, or make a reservation. I was super grateful they squeezed our party in the last two times, very accommodating! read more

We ate here about a year ago & loved it! Much more than bar food!! So, we were excited to stop there again since we were traveling past it on on way home! I checked their website which said they were open on Mondays but closed Tuesdays but when we got there it was closed!! We saw the door was open so we went in & saw the owner unloading his food order that was just delivered & I told him his website was inaccurate about their hours! He apologized & said he'd love to be open but like everyone else cannot get the help! So, please note they are closed both Mondays & Tuesdays!! read more
