My son's track meet wasn't too far from here and this place came recommended by one of the people I follow on Instagram. The place is nice with colorful paintings on the wall and colorful tables. I ordered a wet burrito and my son, carnitas tacos and my other son queso birrias. I enjoyed my burrito but honestly wish I there was more carnitas instead of cheese. Was it good? Yes. Came here recently when my favorite La Piñata taco truck was closed and I really wanted Al Pastor tacos. The first time I liked it- not as good as my favorite place but pretty decent and I liked the avocado slices. Came back again and got tacos and a veggie super burrito. The burrito was in no way super. It was very small and wasn't grilled so it didn't stay together, everything inside glopped all over the place and the tortilla tasted old. Definitely not worth $11. The tacos weren't decent like they were last time. I took one bite and something tasted really off about the meat. Like maybe it wasn't fully cooked? I don't know but my intuition told me to throw it all in the garbage and avoid food poisoning. read more

Went to Taco Jalisco taco truck one night and ordered an Asada quesadilla, two asada tacos and a pastor taco. The quesadilla and pastor taco were for myself and were really flavorful! It's hard to get a good quesadilla from a taco truck and taco Jalisco definitely did their thing with that one. All of the food was hot and made made perfectly. The pastor taco was good too, but that quesadilla was my favorite. It was a nice size and had a good amount of meat and cheese inside. I ordered the Asada tacos for someone else and they really liked them too. I would definitely recommend hitting them up for some good, quick food. read more

Hands down they have some great tasting street tacos . This is outside with very limited seating , like one picnic table. Inexpensive tacos for a party in your mouth . I love that they have whole grilled baby onions and peppers . I had 1 carnitas taco and 1 fish taco . The carnitas was juicy and seasoned well, and the fish was fresh . Five stars all the way for the tacos! Here is why this has become one of my favorite trucks: Lengua, lengua and some more lengua(tongue)! I don't usually eat lengua tacos but I was sold when I tried them here not only is it soft and fresh not chewy but the tacos are topped off with avocado. There is Tacos Jalisco Restaurant and Tacos jalisco Taco Truck. Tacos Jalisco Restaurant the best food in town. But, The taco truck the worst . one time they did not put the meat in my burritos and the other time they put chicken instead of beef lengua. I called because I didn't feel like driving back to the truck and he argued that I ordered them with chicken , he was very rude on top of all that they raised the prices. They have bugs in their food... This truck is NOT CLEAN and needs to be SHUT DOWN. If I could give 0 stars I would. Usually I am not hard on companies especially small businesses but this is absolutely unacceptable. I found a grilled fly in my onions. I am disgusted and had to share this review to caution others. I am just glad I did not eat the bug...I did however throw up after seeing this bug in my food. About 10 min later after driving all the way home, I came back to the truck to return all my food. The Lady at the truck was very rude and did not want to give my money back! I even told her what happened discretely out of respect not making a scene (her 2 kids were in the truck playing and I didn't want them to see me cuss their mom out). I would have deleted this review if she was understanding but she literally said it was my fault! This lady is absolutely insane! Great little taco truck with a great mission style burritos. I've only been her three times but i leave very happy. I usually find that most mission style burritos (restaurant or taco truck) are poorly proportioned. I HATE when every burrito I order tastes like a bean and rice burrito with a few pieces of meat scattered throughout. That Does not happen here. The flavors of the spiced meats always shine and that's a big plus for me! One of the best MISSION style burritos I've had. The street tacos are always good here also. I think they're like $1.50 each. It makes for a good chance to try different meats. The lengua is very good probably my favorite. They will definitely be getting a fifth star from me when I go back for a consistency check.... read more

DELICIOUS FOR A FOOD TRUCK. My husband has been coming to this food truck since 1991 and I finally got to try it tonight. It was that good! I asked if they had guacamole salsa since that was what I was craving. Lady made my tacos and put a slice of avocado in each taco along with the cilantro, chopped onion and spicy green salsa. OMG they were DELICIOUS! They also placed a grilled jalapeño and grilled onions which make "Mexican" restaurants have forgotten about. My husband had a burrito and it was really good too. I was shocked that for 3 tacos and a burrito it was only $11. We sat in the car for about 15 minutes before getting out of the car to order and clients just kept coming and going non stop. That is how you can tell that place is good. (And it was not just Mexicans) Loved how cook tried her best to satisfy me with me avocado craving. Only thing this place is missing is a building with a restroom so I can eat, used the restroom and keep eating. Lol read more

I love burritos and this is a solid place to get my fix when in Vallejo. My favorite is La Perla, but when it's closed, I'll head on over to Tacos Jaliscos. Their carne asada and chicken are good. I used Yelp in an attempt to find some very awesome Mexican food in Vallejo. I've actually known and seen the Tacos Jalisco truck for years, but I never made the effort to actually try it. I ordered the tacos with carnitas, al pastor, and chicharrones. It was pretty much a symphony concentrated on the pig! I was impressed with the generous amount of meat they actually gave. The carnitas was juicy and had that nice porky taste to it. The al pastor was nicely spiced and very flavorful. There was even a hint of pineapple to the taste. The one that blew my mind was the chicharrones. That is now to this date my most favorite taco! I fell in love with the cut up pieces of salty, crunchy pork skin goodness with the toppings all slathered on two fluffy pieces of corn tortillas. It was a pig lovers fantasy. The truck is located on a fairly decent part of Vallejo next to a nice fruit and vegetable vendor. The service was pretty much no fuss but nice. There's even indoor benches if you can't wait to bring your food home. I will definitely return. Definitely a "must try", especially if you're a native Vallejoan. read more

Location: Deep within the heart of the ghetto. This natural habitat of the roach coach suits Tacos Jalisco well. The "rough" neighborhood brings all sorts of interesting and scary characters together to enjoy some traditional mobile cuisine. Ingredients: While the carnitas were tender and flavorful, they were drowned with sour cream. Sour cream can be enjoyable and delicious. Everyone knows that. Even so, when sour cream starts becoming the focal point of the burrito, something is wrong. Price: At 5 dollars you would be hard pressed to find a better cost per pound (even though a good deal of that pound would be gooey sour cream). In the end, if you enjoy sour cream and don't mind venturing into the ghetto to get it, the Tacos Jalisco truck could be for you. read more

I was actually pretty impressed with this taco truck. We recently moved to Vallejo decided to let Yelp guide us to a new place to try, and we ended up here. For about $17, I was able to order tacos with every meat they offered and even doubled up on a few (probably a total of about 10 tacos). The $17 also included two orders or horchata and the best mexican corn I ever had. The tacos were delicious and they were generous with the meat. They had your typical choices and also had chicharron and buche (stomach). They offer different kinds of tortilla for your burrito, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. The corn was amazing! It reminded me of our trips to Mexico and the street vendors that served corn in a cup w/ mayo, cheese, lime & spices. This place actually serves it on the cobb, which is much more fun to eat. Definitely give the corn a try, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to try more stuff from the menu. This is a place I can see myself visiting regularly. read more

I guess I'm something of a burrito officianodo. I order them everywhere I go. Somehow, I can't get enough. What's not to like in a food that's compact, cheap, filling, flavorful and combines all the major food groups? Vallejo is a town with a taco truck on nearly every corner--they're to Vallejo as Starbucks is to San Francisco (too many and too mediocre). But Tacos Jalisco is not the same. Their Burrito Vegitariano is perfect, flavorful, friendly, fast and super economical--everything a great burrito ought to be. It is hands down the best I've had in Vallejo--or the East Bay for that matter. I'm in burrito heaven every time I go. What more could you ask for $4.50? Unlike most taco trucks, this one also has an indoor dining area next to it, so you can enjoy your meal on site if you wish. Next to Pizza Hut and near Little Maya bakery on Broadway. read more
