From beginning to end, the dinning experience I had here was delightful. Our party of two had a server named Mark who was very attentive and kind with a friendly smile. The wine selection was broad. To begin with the appetizer of crab cakes was mouth watering. For my main course, I had the bone in filet, which was very savory and prepared to perfection. My friend had the special which was the yellow tail snapper with lump crab meat on top with a cream sauce, she loved it and gobbled it up. The view of the bay was very serene. Everything in this restaurant needs a re-vamp, except for the view and food, which was pretty good! The staff (hostess, server, busboy) was lackluster and seemed tired and disinterested! The whole restaurant has a beautiful view with decor that hasn't been updated in at least 25 years, maybe more. If you are going to charge fine dining prices, at least update the bathroom! The carpet in the dining room and stained drop ceiling needs to be updated! The staff needs to be trained properly and the wine list needs a total overhaul! If it wasn't for this restaurant being on the bay (with great views), this restaurant would never survive in Naples. The food? Pretty good for restaurant week! We had the pleasure of eating dinner at T-Michaels this past weekend. From start to finish this restaurant was top notch. The service, the food and the owner did not disappoint! We were seated immediately and our server greeted us soon after. We started our evening with a magnificent view that was complimented by a perfectly made martini. We were then greeted by the owner who made suggestions from the menu and treated us to a glimpse of 5 pounds of spectacular King Crab Legs! Our meal started with the Sambal Shrimp and a pound of Alaskan King Crap Legs. Delicious is an understatement and you must try the shrimp with the cucumber tomato coleslaw, they complimented each other so nicely!!!! Next up was a bowl of Lobster Bisque with a generous amount of lobster chunks and a shrimp cocktail....Yummmm! We then shared the Bone in Berkshire Pork Chop. We aren't big pork eaters but this came highly recommended and we now know why. It was thick and juicy and the seasoning was outstanding. To complete our meal, we shared the 20 oz Bone in Rib Eye. It was cooked perfectly to a Medium Rare temperature and so flavorful that asking for A1 sauce would have been criminal. Finally, no matter what you order, you MUST, MUST , MUST order the Boursin Mashed Potatoes. These potatoes were so good that we have already tried twice to recreate them at home!!!!! We are already talking about our next visit to Naples and on top of our to do list is eating at T-Michaels again. Thank you for an amazing experience. T's is a good place and has pretty good stuff and is a cut above the norm but it is not awesome. I am actually surprised it is not better because of the rich peeps that live in this area. I'll mention the negs and then the pros: The waiter was fine and no big probs except that I had no knife at my place and he took our orders but left the menus on the table. The bread served shoulda been better -just boring rolls that need to be improved as I expect fresh, hot rolls that I've had at other places. These were just meh. Also, what's up with room temperature water? Fill the glasses with ice and pour water into them -who wants warm water with no ice? The food was brought out by (non-rum) runners which is OK but they had to be told who gets what order. I had a steak a la "Oscar the Grouch" which was good and it was cooked rare as I had ordered. The duck was good and my fellow diners were pleased with their grub. The place is pricey and I felt could be better for the money in terms of food creativity. And how about some gourmet veggies (fiddleheads, etc.) instead of the usual potatoes and stuff? Not much more to say than it's good but not a memorable experience. The butternut squash entree was very bland, could have used some kind of salt or spices or something. It was unnecessary that it was vegan--could have used some cheese or butter. If they can't do the dish well then they shouldn't charge $27 for it, and they shouldn't try to make it vegan if they can't muster even a little bit of flavor. I mean, I ate everything, I liked the tofu, but just because I choose to go through a dopamine-free life doesn't mean you have to. My companion got the sweet potato ravioli; they were pretty disgusting, like a sweet potato pie inside of ravioli, sickeningly sweet. Again, if they want to try vegan food maybe they should do some research and go to a vegan restaurant or take a class. My other companion got a cosmopolitan which was basically just vodka with a little bit of flavoring in it--nasty. We had to give it away to a local person. Lastly, there is no craft beer. I'm so mad at myself for 1) not taking pictures of the food and 2) not coming here sooner. When it was Cloyds it was my favorite restaurant in Naples. Aaaand now, it remains my favorite. My wife and I came for her birthday and even she is happy we chose here (she wanted fuse, but I pay I choose... terrible husband). Anyways. I had flowers and a card delivered early and a request for a window table and even during restaurant week they had a table ready and set with my flowers and card. We started with the calamari which was hella good, I enjoyed it and I'm not a seafood person. For our entrees I had the 14oz New York strip and she had the seafood trio and we ordered asparagus to share. The new strip was cooked perfectly, as you'd expect for $49. She said and I quote the lobster is the best she's ever had! I tried some, it is. It's really f&($ing good. As always the location is perfect and the service really good. I'm currently writing this waiting for our dessert... oh and here it is. We did the cheese cake because apparently me ordering a chocolate lava cake is childish. Cheesecake... very good! The "bad": asparagus sucked, very undercooked and underseasoned. But that won't ruin a great dinner 5/5. Management was great, wait staff was great. And the experience was great. read more

I'd like to share our experience with our Father's Day dinner last evening. 2 weeks prior to Father's Day I called and asked to speak with the manager. I asked if their restaurant was following the social distancing guidelines and if all staff were wearing face masks. I was assured that they were and they were keeping the restaurant at 50% capacity. I also asked if we could have a water view table. He said they'll put the request in but could not guarantee that which was fine as he said you can see water from most tables in the restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant for our 7 pm reservation and as we arrived we noticed 6 tables in the parking lot -- not under a tent just randomly set up on parking spaces. We entered the restaurant and noticed the restaurant was at capacity with all tables next to each other and not socially distant. The staff were, however, wearing face masks and gloves. We asked for the manager who stated they were trying to socially distant. They offered us a table in the parking lot. Really?? It's 93 degrees out and the average tab at this restaurant is $200+/per couple. By this time it was 7:20, Fathers Day and we didn't know any other nice place to go as we're from out of town. Then, we spotted a bar table in the corner of the bar with nobody around us. So we sat there. Basically, a table for 2 and we were a party for 4. And, the seats at the bar were filled - no social distancing there either. We chose this restaurant because it was advertised as family owned and and not a chain. And, during this time we really wanted to support the local businesses. In a time where the coronavirus is spiking in Florida I can now see why. Working in healthcare and living in south Florida, where you cannot enter a store, beach, pool, any business or restaurant without a mask I was so surprised to see how full this restaurant was. Positives: We ended up making the best of this situation and the food was actually quite good. The manager, Kevin, told us he wouldn't seat anybody next to us and our waitress was wonderful. But, we will never go back they're during this vulnerable time in our country. read more

We attended a Naples Restaurant week preview and the sampling from T-Michael's was delicious, so we decided to give it a try. The views are delightful. We went with friends and all had various steaks and found each of them to be disappointing. Not flavorful and served very plainly. Went by T-Michaels today and had an amazing ribeye steak. I'm from NY and have eaten at some legendary steak houses and I have to say T-Michaels is up there with the best of them. To make the meal even better the owner Ty found out that i was a 911 first responder and insisted on paying for my dinner. He said that it's a courtesy he extends to all first responders on 911 and though it was 9/12 he would extend the same courtesy to me. I was amazed by his genuine appreciation of first responders. When 2 people who don't drink run up a $100 tab, you expect great. It wasn't. I had the Prime Rib, which was large and good except for a very tough outer casing. (Couldn't get a knife through it.) The garden salad ($11) was adequate but forgettable. The twice baked potato was overwhelmed with bacon and had that 'made yesterday' texture. The flavor was so strong it kind of ruined the flavor of the rest of the meal. My wife's Bisque was very salty. She had the Scampi appetizer as an entrée and it was fine. We shared sorbet for dessert. There were 3 flavors. The Watermelon was icy and had obviously been in the freezer too long. The lime and raspberry were not actually sorbet, but gelato and were fine. All this plus a nonalcoholic beer and a club soda were $105 with tax. We used a $25 coupon to reduce the bill to $80 before tip. The service was good and the view was very nice. Except for the 275# grandpa in cargo shorts at the next table it might have been romantic. read more

I can not begin to express our disappointment and disgust based on the treatment received by this restaurant management and owner. Last evening on Valentines Day, we had a 7pm reservation for four with a request for a window seat. The reservation was made three weeks in advance. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:25pm, well ahead of our reservation and we're told to approach the the front desk closer to the reservation time and that it appeared they were on plan. After numerous requests for updates on our table and after watching a number of people sidestep the process, we were finally seated at 8:25pm, one hour and twenty-five minutes later than our reservation and two hours after arriving . Needless to say we were not happy and to make matters worse we were seated in a back corner, worst table in the dining room. We asked for the manager or owner and we're told he would be over....never came. Waiter was very good and understood our displeasure and attempted to save the experience. He stated the owner wouldn't be over but said to reduce our check by 50%. A good gesture for sure but, no desire to speak with customers who were clearly wronged by his own doing, as he seated his friends ahead of our reservation. Me husband and I went there on our 22nd wedding anniversary. Although it is quite expensive, it's worth it. The service was excellent. I had the French onion soup and my husband the lobster bisque. Excellent! Our entrees consisted of a red snapper for my hubby and a filet mignon on the bone for myself. I ordered my meat medium-well and that's what I received. The meat was juicy and tender, however it lacked some seasoning. Had to add some salt and pepper to get some flavor. The red snapper was perfect, well cooked and very good. The risotto was a bit sticky as if it was made in advance but nevertheless very good. Couldn't resist the deserts so we had the cheesecake and chocolate lava cake. Both delicious. I highly recommend this new restaurant which came under new management last September. It has improved 100%. Will return when in town again. read more

The food was good at a reasonable price. The restaurant wasn't busy which makes you wonder why was the service so awful, very slow. Our waiter had a personality of a dead rat! He would be great at checking parking meters. When the check came of course he got it wrong and had to call in management. The hostess was very nice and friendly. Went last night, June 8, 2018....asked about any specials...told about the fish...then asked about 'restaurant week specials' told they were for locals and none tonight (found in todays paper 3 course $36 all night-every night) FYI we are locals. We ordered salads and soups...3 of us got a salad, then 5 minutes later 2 more of us...then the soup came along with our dinner entrees...So they took back the dinners only to bring back a few minutes later while we're still trying to enjoy the salads/soups. The prime rib was SO tough, fish no taste....I felt so bad for our friends who set this evening up...they were mortified. Think this was our last visit to T-Michaels. read more

My friend & I were treated to a free drink as a courtesy for shopping nearby. Happy hour turned into a satisfying small dinner. I had the "mini lobster roll" which was included for $9 on T-Michaels' small plates, happy hour menu. The crowd who comes here obviously is in search of the good prices and luscious small plates. Ironically, however, be prepared to dress like your clothes are 6 hours old, and your Gemological Institute appraised jewelry doesn't have time to linger in a wall safe. We had the pleasure of having our wedding dinner here. We had 30 guests and everyone was amazed by how delicious the food was and how wonderful the service was. My wife and I along with my brother and sister in law went to T-Michael's last week for a special occasion. We were visiting the area and had heard good things about the restaurant. Boy, we're we not disappointed. The restaurant has a really nice vibe to it with a lovely view of the water through beautifully large windows. Our table was set beautifully with real linens. Our server Edward was fantastic. The perfect combination of attentiveness without fawning and his knowledge of the menu was great. The manager Ty made his rounds periodically to make certain the patrons were satisfied. Now to the food. What can I say. This was the finest meal I have had in perhaps a decade. Everything from the wine pairing to the Shrimp appetizer, green salad, French onion soup, sautéed mushrooms, asparagus was of the highest order. I have been here before but wanted to take my boyfriend here for his birthday. I made a few requests on the reservation such as to sit by the window and to arrange a dessert with "happy birthday" written on it. I also requested to make the experience really special so he had the best birthday ever. When we arrived we were greeted with huge smiles and they wished him a happy birthday right away. There was a wait for a table by the window so the General Manager bought us each a glass of wine and an appetizer, and then topped off our wine again before being seated. We waited about 45 minutes but we didn't even mind. Him and the servers checked on us constantly to make sure we were ok waiting. The GM then brought us another appetizer when we first sat down at our table. This was followed by a visit by the owner himself, who brought us each a glass of champagne to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. All of the appetizers were delicious, we couldn't wait to order. We both got the surf and turf to have the lobster and a cut of steak. I asked to substitute the filet mignon for ribeye and they had no problem doing that (they might upcharge, but it's a huge cute of steak so it's worth it). Our food was insanely good. Everything was cooked perfectly. Every bite melted in our mouth. Compliments to the chef!!! To top it all off, our server arranged for the exact dessert I had described. The owner came over and chatted with us for a good amount of time. We really felt so special and cared for from the second we walked in until the time we left. We spent nearly 2.5 hours there but it was enjoyable the entire time. This is going to be a staple in our visits to Naples. If you are looking for steak, seafood, and amazing service, this is absolutely the place to go. We will 110% be back and this is the first place I will recommend visiting when in Naples! Amazing job the entire staff - from the hostess, servers, food runners, general manager, and owner himself, you can tell this is a staff that cares about the quality of your EXPERIENCE along with the delicious food.
