Just today I had to call a T- mobile to have an account closed that someone had opened in my name. Unfortunately my information, including my social, were leaked during one of the T-Mobile breaches. I've had several identity theft problems since this all happened, and every time I contact T-Mobile about it they just give me the same scripted response. Coverage map showed full 5G coverage out here on the western slope of the foothills, but 'twasn't so. The two shiny new phones turned out not to be usable. Returned and had to pay re-stocking fee on each. First store in Y.C. said, "We can't accept returns here. You have to go to the corporate store." Did that and had a hassle there, too, but finally they accepted the returns. It was the last day to return them (14 days), they said, but they counted since PURCHASE, not DELIVERY. I called and explained that I should not be charged for the service on these phones since A. The service wasn't as advertised, and B. We only used them a few times to verify coverage. TIP: Don't cancel your old phones until you verify coverage, if you can swing that. I spoke with a few reps who all held the company line that I was on the hook for the better part of $400 for a couple phones that did not work out. Called the attention of the BBB, the CA Attorney General, their "corporate response" department, and the FCC regarding their inaccurate coverage maps. Guess what? About a week later I got a call back from corporate. The gentleman was quite agreeable. He asked about my experience and I related all to him. He very kindly offered a complete refund on money paid and a cancellation of money "owed," for which I was and expressed to him my sincere appreciation. Their deals on phones and service were really enticing and I was disappointed that it didn't work out. We did subscribe to their internet service as we have line-of-sight to a nearby tower, and that's been great and a big savings in money and hassle compared with Digital Path and Succeed.net. No long phone calls to tech support, just reboot the Gateway device and that usually gets service back up to good speeds. Upload and ping aren't good for gamers, I'd say, but for regular folks wanting to watch the latest episode of South Park, no issues whatsoever. I did ask to be called back if they got a tower near the poor reception area locally, but didn't hear back. I should probably follow up. If the reception was as advertised, I'd certainly consider re-upping with them. read more

Ting Mobile and U.S. Mobile use the T-Mobile network. They are both greatly cheaper and equally as feature filled as T-Mobile.

Be careful when purchasing a screen protector from them. The box says "lifetime warranty " I went back to get my screen protector replaced after only having it 2 weeks. The young man working there says you have to purchase the lifetime warranty??? Wtf that don't even make sense. Don't be a fool like me. Just go online and get yourself a few for the sane price that will come with the warranty. What a rip off!! So disappointed! read more

I purchased a 5G phone at T-Mobile at 1124 Oro dam Blvd on April 11. Salesperson name Dominik charged me 3 lines without my knowledge. Also, he put Otter box around the phone without asking my permission. I am elderly I am not familiar with new technology. I handed my Capital One card. I got charged $162.06. Before I left, I asked him the receipt, Dominik said that the printer is out of paper. I asked him to send it to my e mail address. never got it. After few days passed, I realized my phone with the cover around it was heavy, so I took it back. I was told that they would not take it back. I called 611, the customer service. The lady who answered was surprised and told me it is the customer's remorse, and they have to take it back. She also told me to pick up another phone. How did I find out I was charged 3 lines on the new phone? I called 611 because they didn't take the phone back! The customer service congratulated me for getting 3 lines!! I gave everything back and my Capital One card to get a refund $162. _ I NEVER got a refund on my Capital One card. By the way Dominik never showed me the box of the Otter Box that came in. And he did not take it back because it wasn't in the box. He took it out of the box without my knowledge and put it around my new phone. After coming here so many times some of the guys who work here customer service really suck here. Its like they dont enjoy their jobs but have to be here for the money. The ONLY reason why im giving it 5 stars is because i needed to go in store and after meeting Melina and the gentlemen with long hair and keeps it up in a pony tail actually acknowledges you! I just moved here from Sacramento and have been with this cell phone company for at least 6 years. was the best T mobile experience I've ever had. They made my boyfriend and I feel welcomed and important. They offered us water and told us about the speakers they currently offer and the hot rates they're cooking up. They were all so excited to be providing us with their service and help. I was able to get a new phone when mine stopped working within two days as well as have a lasting impression from the amazing customer support I was given upon arrival. My daughter and I went to the store inside the mall in September/October 2022 to get my granddaughter a kids tablet on a special they were having. Unfortunately, they failed to mention a number of things. Most importantly, the fact that we had to have a separate phone line in order to have the tablet on a cell phone plan. So, imagine my surprise when I received my first bill and it was significantly larger than expected and had to pay for a cell line we weren't using and no cell phone attached to it. I went to another store located on Bridge Street and she reached out to the customer support line and spoke with a manager. So, after much time and a very nice representative's assistance, my contract was cancelled and most of my money refunded. I was then told that once they closed out my account's final bill, I would receive the rest of my money via check in the mail in about 30-90 days. I have received multiple "bills" from them telling me my account balance is -$51, but have yet to receive the rest of my money. I reached out to them once again only to be spoken to rudely and the representative refused to let me speak to a manager even though I continued to ask. She eventually placed me on hold and I hung up after about 10-15 minutes on hold. So, don't go to the store in the mall, they are sneaky, purposefully leave out vital information (likely in order to better their chances of you signing up and they then receive $$ for commissions) and won't give you a straight answer to your questions. I went in to get an upgrade for the phone I've had for almost 3 years, and employee Miguel was so helpful! He helped me choose a phone, since I know nothing about phones, but told him the kind of things I wanted in a phone, and he was able to help me get one that was within my price range and had what I wanted. He took the time to help me transfer stuff from my old phone, and was patient when I couldn't remember my pin or password. I'm beyond satisfied with my experience there today. read more

When I purchased my new iPhone the guy that helped me put it on my plan was on the phone with another customer the whole time. I couldn't ask him the questions I wanted to ask because I felt like I would be interrupting him. The only question I got to ask just before he went into their back room to get the brand new phone was, "will my plan remain the same?" He assured me it would as I was just buying the iPhone for an existing line. My plan actually did change because I had a free line promotion, that I had to call corporate to get back. I was lucky in finding a really nice person in corporate after a whole month to fix my plan. When I got the first bill I also noticed that I was being charged for insurance and device protection even after I told the guy that I did not need either of those services as Apple will pretty much replace the phone if it's faulty. And we exchange phones every year anyways, so I did not need any insurance. When I left, the guy was still talking on the phone with the other customer. After this experience I will no longer be returning here. It was a disaster, and this should not happen to customers spending $1000 at your business. read more

I went in this past Friday night and took my 13 yr old with me, he was very adamant about me switching to an iPhone, and when I chose to continue with an android he threw a nasty fit. Kam the associate was incredibly kind, patient as he could see the embarrassment I had going on. I told him his brother had just left to the military, and we were in transition as a family, and Kam was beyond kind due to the episode that was going on. Kam suggested I take my time, deal with my situation and come back when I was ready. He was very personable and by far offered the best customer service I had seen in a while:) And because of it, I decided to hold off on my new phone until the wknd was over so I could return back tonight when Kam worked again. read more

1 star only because I have to. This store has no customer respect. Not one employee knows what to do. We were told some accessories came with the phone we bought then we were charged and put on a payment plan. My mother in law went to change our plan so monthly charges would be lowered she ended up paying 40 extra a month and charged for an extra line we had nothing to do with, plus she was not given a reciept. I told salesman I was shopping around for best new network to get and I didn't want to be pressured into anything which is exactly what he then did. He told me to see the best deal they'd have to give me a "soft" credit check. They did, and when I told him I'd possibly come back he said "well, you should at least put money down now so next time you come back we don't have to run your credit again. " Me:"I thought it was a soft check." Clerk(with a puzzled look)"oh yeah it is a soft check." Sure enough for home and checked credit karma and it was a hard inquiry. As the other reviewer said, this is the worst T-Mobile store I have been to as well. The employees are not helpful save for one but unfortunately, I cannot recall his name. Anyways, I recently bought a iPhone from there and the screen was having some issues. They did nothing but tell me that the phone was fine and to contact Apple for more support. After I got through Apple, they told me I should've been able to replace it. I told them I'd rather head to the nearest Apple store and let them handle it. I go into this T-Mobile regularly, to pay my bill, and to upgrade. I usually upgrade my phone every 6-12 months. I do like this place and the people quite a bit, however I usually end up being very frustrated at some point during my visit due to 1 fact, The music is VERY loud. I am young, 23 years old, and a musician, however it is very unprofessional, and makes it hard to understand your terms and conditions, and can make the atmosphere quite confusing. Don't change what you listen to, don't shut it down, just turn it down a few notches and I will give this place 5 stars easily. read more

I had an issue with T-mobile and I was getting it resolved through the support team online- and via customer care over the phone. I then had to go into the store and get something verified and have a T-mobile representative call over to the customer care and verify. From there a customer care agent would handle everything else. All the T-mobile rep had to do was look at something and call. For such a small task for a rep to do, I got the most terrible response and service. I was told NUMEROUS times that it would be a waste of his time. The reason behind it was because he had simply never heard of such a thing. He, in front of me, had asked several other employees "have you heard of this before?". In which all of them responded no. Yes, my case was different and complicated, but he in no way had to do ANYTHING, but call over and verify a text message in which I was ADVISED to do so by a customer care supervisor. When I was told it was a waste of time because he calls customer care all the time and that he's never heard of that before I was taken back, and asked if I was going to have to call them even though that is not my job and I have been with the company over a year. He told me to go ahead because if he did it he knows it's going to be a waste of time. I again stated that I shouldn't have to and asked if any other T-mobile rep would DO THEIR JOB and help me. I kid you not, They all just stared at me like I was crazy. He ended up calling which he didn't seem happy about it and after being hung up on twice and put on hold for 7 minutes he had the audacity to say "well I've been on hold for 7 minutes, like I said before it's going to be a waste of time". I DONT CARE IF YOU THINK YOUR TIME WILL BE WASTED. I WILL NOT, AND DO NOT EXPECT ANY CUSTOMER TO EVER JUST TAKE AN EMPLOYEES WORD THAT "THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME AND NOTHING WILL BE DONE" WHEN IM TOLD OTHERWISE. WHY NOT CALL AND FIND OUT? IT DOESNT HURT TO TRY RIGHT? AND WETHER OR NOT HE WAS RIGHT IT IS NOT OKAY TO MAKE A CUSTOMER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, FEEL LIKE THEY ARE WASTING YOUR TIME. The one star is because I have to give at least a star to review. This is literally the worst T-Mobile store I've ever been to. There are 6 employees here and apparently only 3 of them are actually capable of helping customers. So far, I've seen employees playing on their phones and stepping outside to talk to friends. Don't come here!! After leaving the store, I noticed that I was charged almost $80 for accessories that I was told were included with the price of the phone. Obviously the salesperson lied and needless to say I called TMobile and they were nothing but kind but said that this store does have "a reputation." Avoid it if you can. And after dealing with the manager, it's obvious why this store is so horrible. He obviously doesn't care about the goingson in his store and has a horrible and cocky attitude that does is not suitable for someone in customer service.
