Ronnie at the Noho Tmobile store on Lankershim is FANTASTIC and an expert troubleshooter. If you are in the area and need expert 'Genius Bar' assistance for a new Tmobile phone - she is the ONE. I received a new iPhone 17 in a loyalty promotion. For the first time ever in my Iphone ownership history the new phone would not easily transfer from my old phone. I tried for three (3) hours - no luck. I called Tmobile customer service and was on the phone with them for over an hour - again no luck via remote transfer or backup from computer. They recommended the Lankershim store as the next step. When I called Lankershim, they quickly picked up and noted the best time to arrive. They were right - I was immediately assisted when I walked in! Ronnie immediately called me over. She saw there was an issue with the remote transfer and due to her knowledge of the system and transferring, she was able to set up my phone within 45 minutes. Ronnie even provided her hours of work for the next three (3) days should I have a problem before I deleted the old phone - and offered to assist with the deletion if needed! Customer service like this is a rarity today! I must say that I was worried going into the store as you never know if you are going to be assigned someone to make it better or worse - ie is the person capable of assisting with the transfer when there is significant trouble shooting involved or just a 'sales person'. Rest assured, RONNIE is one of the two best Tmobile techs I have seen (the other is in Oak Park, IL). RONNIE, THANK YOU for not only being so customer oriented and a very nice person but also well versed in the technical ins and outs. TMobile is lucky to have you! read more

Sooooooooo slow... I wasted 1 hour waiting only to be told they can't help me and I need to go to an Apple Store to replace my son's broken tablet. I wish they could have saved me the time and told me a lot earlier rather than having me waiting with two kids just so I could be told they can't do anything. They need to vet these situations, check in and ask why we're there, and tell us if they can help us or not rather than have us wait the time and then tell us they can't do anything after waiting all that time. I stopped by this TMobile store today because I was visiting Noho Commons for an event and arrived early so I wanted to look at their Samsung phones. I parked in the parking garage toward the back because it said the parking is complimentary for two hours with validation but today there was no guard rail up at the parking garage entrance so it was free. When I walked inside TMobile, a worker greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I told him I just wanted to look at the Galaxy S25 phones and he left me be. I was able to compare my Galaxy S23 to the newest model. I also look at their iPhone 16 as well. I didn't have any issues during my visit today. read more

A Truly Absurd Experience With T-Mobile's Billing Practices I closed my T-Mobile account because my monthly bill kept creeping up for no clear reason. Before closing the account, I made sure to pay every last cent I owed. Months later, I started receiving notices claiming I still had an outstanding balance -- for one cent. After multiple notices, I finally went into a T-Mobile store and paid the $0.01 just to stop the harassment. But the situation somehow got even more ridiculous: shortly after paying, T-Mobile sent me a letter informing me that I had overpaid, and they mailed me a prepaid Visa card for two cents. So let me get this straight -- the company repeatedly contacted me over a literal penny, but then spent even more time, labor, postage, and materials to send me a refund for two cents. The level of inefficiency is astonishing. It's hard to understand how a major telecom company can operate with systems so poorly designed that they waste far more money chasing and refunding pennies than the amount owed. This entire experience perfectly captures why I left T-Mobile in the first place: disorganized billing, unnecessary hassle, and processes that make zero logical or financial sense. If this is how they manage something as small as a one-cent balance, I can't imagine trusting them with anything more significant. I'm extremely disappointed and hope T-Mobile fixes whatever internal issues allow this kind of absurdity to happen. read more

Wow. After getting my security compromised at AT&T, I started shopping around for a more reliable cell service. I looked at Verizon and T mobile, settling on the one with the best options and the most patient service I have ever received anywhere. Evelyn worked with us for hours to transfer everything over to the new service and advise us about all the free things that come with our new subscription. On top of it I got a snazzy new phone. I recently relocated and I had to shop for internet. T Mobile offers a new 5G tower w/out the need for additional cable (only outlet plug for electricity is required). I contacted this location (Lankershim) and chatted with Jose over the phone. He was really knowledgeable and made the process seamless for me. The good: The store is really clean and their air conditioner works great.. The bad: Let's be honest here. This store needs to really retrain or replace their employees. There is no customer service. Both times I've been in there, I've felt that I could have gone elsewhere for a better deal. I got the feeling that I was ruining the employees day by being a customer. This most recent time on 7/13/2019 at 2:45 PM just took the cake. The woman I was being "served" by couldn't have been more disinterested in selling me a phone. I wanted the s10 with 512gb of memory. You have to order it cause god knows that can't really stock anything better than the standard version. Oh and when that phone would come in? 3 to 10 business days. She offered me $91 trade in on the phone I spent 799 less than 2 years prior. They never tell you about discounts or how to save money on your phone bill. They couldn't care less if you are thinking about switching. She really didn't know the products at all and couldn't answer simple questions. So instead of buying a phone at T-Mobile store, I went on Ebay and bought a brand new in stock S10 the way I wanted for $352 less. The only thing I didn't pay extra for was the attitude. Oh, and when I need to connect it, I'll call T-Mobile's customer service and have them walk me through it. After I got home, I chatted online with a T-mobile customer care representative. We figured out, that I was paying for a lot of things I wasn't using or didn't need. We were able to cut my bill down by 35 bucks a month. My advice, unless you are desperate for a phone the same day, deal with their online support team and buy your phones elsewhere. read more

Bought an apple watch for my daughter, they couldn't add it to my sprint plan, so they forced me to opened up a plan on T-mobile, they botched the purchase, and did this whole shady refund thing, long story short, I have two bills for two apple watches, one from T-Mobile, and 1 from Sprint. .... (I only Bought 1 apple Watch!)....I called support from both companies to cancel the imaginary line and excess charges. No one has been able to help me, they tell me not to pay the extra bill, but now I'm getting calls from Collections. All because THIS store screwed this whole transaction up. All the 1 stars really tell you something about this place. Oh god this experience at this place has been so bad for so long. I know the manager "doesn't care" but I'm trying to get out of a domestic violence situation. She had me pay my bill but REFUSED to give me a SIM card for my new phone. My baby's dad destroyed my cell phone. After begging and BEGGING T Mobile to give me a new phone, they finally did, however, they REFUSED to give me a SIM card so the new "cell phone" is useless because they refuse to give me a new SIM card. The manager had her employee say, "well let's pay the bill 1st and we'll TRY to get a SIM card". So basically, the manager KNEW she was NOT going to give me a SIM card but wanted to see what last bit of money they could get out of me. Look, I know this manager doesn't have a conscious or anything, but I have a baby and I can't afford a babysitter so basically, I can't work anymore and this "manager" took my last bit of money KNOWING she wasn't going to give me a SIM card for my "cell phone" so my new cell phone is useless. I can't even work anymore, even if I get a babysitter because I don't have a working cell phone. If you jump 1 hoop/obstacle they will just invent a NEW obstacle. IF you can avoid T Mobile please do. They will make you pay the bill but REFUSE to help you even after your bill is all caught up. You actually have a part of your website that says Domestic violence? In person representatives have poor communication and listening skills. I don't know what is up with the Sylmar and North Hollywood employees but they are causing financial complications on my part. Who ends up paying for it? Me. Yes it is my responsibility to look at my bill, yet, I question the integrity of Tmobile when services are added without my consent. Started off having a poor experience with Gabyy (sic) when purchasing the phone but it was otherwise uneventful. 9 days after purchase already had a technical issue and returned for help. Was given instructions on how to verify the issue but even after doing so was given the run-around, such that I called T-Mobile and had the issue verified by their tech support. Once tech support noted the account I was instructed to return to the store. However, I was told by the apparent manager, Oscar "what tech support says doesn't matter," they needed separate verification. Furthermore felt completely disrespected. I'd like to think I got a few good traits going for me. I'm not bad at math, am pretty good at writing, and can talk myself out of most any situation-- even when the women around me are enraged. But one area where I've always sucked? Applying screen protectors onto mobile tech. Every time I've tried to do it myself, the result ended up looking more mismatched than Paris Hilton with a Rubik's Cube. But that's where the folks at T-mobile saved my tail. I happened to get a screen-protector kit for my Galaxy S8 as a present a few days earlier. Knowing it'd be a bad idea to try to put it on myself, I stopped by T-mobile. That's where I met Noel. Guy with a terrific demeanor, and facial-scrub that'd make Matt Damon proud. ...And for North Hollywood that's saying something! Noel was actually a little nervous about being asked to apply the screen-protector. It was a bit of a unique screen-kit, compared to what he'd installed before. But despite that inkling of reluctance, he rolled-up his sleeves and dived right in. Which is the most that can ever be asked of a man, and what made him really stand out. And the end result did NOT disappoint! The screen protector looked perfectly and professionally installed. When I turned on the phone, there were ZERO dead spots as touch-interaction went. Nor were there any 'air pockets' which detracted from the visual appearance. My phone looks terrific, and now it's well protected.
