The folks at Spectrum have implemented an electronic "cash system" which will not allow the store to accept cash when it is malfunctioning (although they could accept credit cards ?!?). I am not clear on what exactly their system does, maybe scan the bills to spot counterfeits; but whatever their technology is intended to do it vastly inconveniences customers just trying to pay their bill. I will be returning their equipment on my next (unnecessary) visit to their store. BTW, a related issue; I went to their website and chatted with someone from their customer service team. He was absolutely useless, his solution to my inquiry about if they had solved the cash-acceptance problem at their retail locations was to call the store! Epic FAIL! read more

The worst procedure when you move and need to transfer your internet and cable- spoke to two reps first (an hour call) to "transfer" only to find out nothing could be handled that day is have to wait 2-3 days to pick up at a location not the day of. Came to the store twice to drop off then next day pick up. At pick up day was told I can't pick up it has to be my husband even though on that hour call I specifically verified that I can pick up! So frustrating! Spectrum I hope you're making plans to improve this procedure so ridiculous! These people are predators. I signed up to get a phone and internet, told them multiple times I didn't want the tv box. They sent it anyway. I sent it back. They still charged me for the tv services and took it out of my automatic billing. They are crooks. I spoke with them many times about not wanting the extra service. They are predators. Don't sign up for their automatic billing if you have to go with them. They won't refund you for their screw up/intentional overbilling. read more

I wanted to like this spectrum store but I swear to god these customer service reps are beyond incompetent and making it hard not to hate them. We took our router and modem in for a swap because our internet had been cutting in and out once a week for the past month. They gave us the new router and modem and when I asked if there was anything else we needed to do they said no, just plug it in and it will work fine Well as soon as we took it home and plugged it in we got the "no internet" warning and could not connect to the internet no matter how hard we tried. We later got a call that night while we were out that the internet should be working but when we came back it still showed no internet and we could not activate it. Cut to today where a technician came out, we come to find that the stupid customer service rep never removed our old modem serial # from our account! They swapped out the router serial # but not the modem one. Why? Who knows. Maybe they got distracted or missed a step when setting it up but if that's the case that's unacceptable honestly. I had to use my phone tethering to a hotspot for a day while working at home because of this store's incompetence. If you ever need to swap out a router and/or a modem make sure to have them confirm they removed the old ones from your account! read more

She said to call Spectrum customer service and request a return, but I called customer service last night, and they said to just bring the modem to the Spectrum store and return it. I visited the Noho Spectrum store to sign up for an internet package. After reading some of the reviews, I didn't have high expectations going in. I'm happy to say that my initial reluctance was quickly forgotten. I was helped by Eric who was able to get us a great price for the internet speed we wanted. He explained a little about what we needed to do once we got home and assured my husband and I we'd be able to set it up. If it's your first time visiting, there's an iPad at the entrance you'll need to sign in on. Some people weren't aware that's how you get on the walk-in list and had been sitting down waiting to be called. read more

For the time I used it Spectrum never let me down or gave me any issues. The only outages I experienced were during the fires. Otherwise, my speed has been fast and consistent. Phone customer service is knowledgeable and helpful. When I returned my equipment to the store they were kind and quick. The only reason I'm ending my service is because my new roommate already has good wifi. And I'm doing it reluctantly! I loved spectrum! read more

I just moved from North Hollywood to AZ and had my service disconnected on June 30th. Well today I received a bill at my new address for service from June 22nd until July 21st. When I called for a pro rated final bill for the 9 days I actually received service, I was told they don't pro rate, but indeed only charge by the month no matter how long one actually uses the service. Not only that, but they discontinued my email service I've had for years, and offered me no option to continue its use, even for a monthly fee as some other internet services do. They carefully explained to me how they don't pro rate their service and how that was explained to me when I signed up. I then carefully explained to them that I had service at my address for 23 years, long before Spectrum was around and no one explained ANYTHING TO ME including the customer service person I spoke to when I scheduled my disconnection. This company is terrible and a complete disaster. Their service is spotty at best and I recommend you use any other service but Spectrum. They are the worst. Fingers crossed they go out of business soon!!!!!! read more

First I couldn't make a reservation online. Second I come in and hour after they opened and one person was working, another was clocking in. When the second person clocked in the first person left immediately...an hour after they opened, giving the person her was helping to the one who clocked in and with 2 of us waiting for help.
