Derek, at the Verizon location by Home Depot/Staples in Atascadero consistently went ABOVE AND WAY BEYOND my expectations for a cell phone rep. Recently I was shopping for an internet company for my new downtown business. With Derek, he established my downtown business plan and converted my cell phone to Verizon at the same price I was paying for just cell phone service. He dug deep to find a plan that would be powerful enough for my location & spent hours (I believe of his own time) helping me set up and get through glitches. There were hiccups, many, but this is where Derek went deep and other companies fail: he stuck with me, although he was busy at the shop, helped trouble shoot on the side via text, he was with me every step of the way. The mark of a good sales person/customer service rep isn't that they can sell you a service, it is that they stick with you and truly show they care about your internet/cell phone success. This is DEREK's way. I can't say enough about how well he represents Verizon. If you need cellular and/or internet service and you want a rep who will be there after you pay for the service: DEREK. After my nightmare with T Mobile who after 3 visits and about 5 phone calls (probably 10 hours all told) who would not cancel me out of their plan even after I paid off the balance for a watch, Verizon and Derek are a breath of fresh air. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff, and it only took a few moments to find the models of phone. I wanted to look at. my husband was also able to solve an issue with an older laptop computer that we had and he only had to wait about 10 minutes to get that service and only about five minutes to get it updated. The staff were really friendly and patient and explained everything so we could understand it all. Despite many offers from my service provider, I decided to take the plunge and buy the phone. I knew I wanted it enhanced photographic ability and read about the phones online before I went to the Apple Store. That made it a lot easier to make a selection once I was there and the knowledgeable sales staff really helped me to compare my old phone with the upgrades in the new phone. I chose the new 17 because of the enhanced photo and video capability. I was able to get one right away from the store. I also got this safety screen put on there and paid for insurance for my phone for a year. The only thing left to do was set it up, which I did at home and found to be incredibly easy. I called the technician who seemed willing to meet up again when I returned from a trip. However, when I tried to schedule a date or time, he did not respond. I also tried to book online several different times and was told by Cracked that they couldn't find a technician. Enough for me, I'm going elsewhere.

By the spring of 2020, we had an image burnt into the bottom part of the screen which was about one foot high and extended the full distance from left to right. After living with it and trying several suggestions to remove that annoying vision, I called LG and went through the process to get the situation fixed. LG determined our screen had to be replaced, but since it was more than 2 years from the time of purchase, they'd cover the cost of the screen ($1,900), but not the work required to install it. Fair enough. Within a day, I was contacted by Robert, the owner of Certified Electronics which is the authorized repair place in the area for LG TVs. He estimated it would take 2 or 3 weeks for the part to arrive and made arrangements for him to visit our house. Later, after it was delivered to his shop, we finalized the schedule. Robert arrived on time and methodically replaced the old TV screen which was heavy and bulky with a new one which, at 65 inches, was also heavy and bulky. I helped a little here and there since the size and weight would be too much for just one person...no matter their strength and skill. After 40 minutes (about an hour from his entrance to exit), everything looked new. Based on this visit with Certified Electronics, I'd give them 5 stars. Robert: - Arrived on time properly masked - Did the job with a minimum of fuss and delay - Packaged the old TV screen so it could be returned to LG - Is a really nice, down-to-earth guy - Charged a reasonable price of $240 for his time and expertise Without hesitation, I'd recommend Certified Electronics to people in need of TV repair.
