When I got my crepe, they apologized for the wait even though it did not seem long at all! ‼NOT ABOUT THEIR CREPES‼ this review is simply for their "milkshakes". just moved from florida recently and my family n i were in the hunt for some milkshakes as we all grew up in the south on the thick shakes. saw this spot was selling milkshakes and had to come down to purchase some. the store is a very nice and clean place (has a homey feel to it because of the theme). i ordered two shakes, the dark chocolate and strawberry bananas. i wanted a half chocolate and half vanilla shake and asked if they could accommodate my order for me, however, the cashier looked at me so confused as if that was something she has never heard of. she asked her manager and her manager also gave me the same look and said no. i'm surprise they never heard of a 50/50 shake ... anyways, each milkshake was about $8 and let me tell you. this was straight up not a milkshake it was chocolate milk. i watched her make the shakes and not once did i hear a blender go off. the worst place ever to get an authentic milkshake here in Flushing. please ... if you are going to sell milkshakes, do research on how to make a good one before selling it and having it just be straight up milk because if i wanted milk, i could have gone to the corner store. regardless of this experience, i for sure will be back to try their crepes! read more

I've been to T-Swirl Crepe twice and haven't been disappointed so far. Food: I've tried the Okinawa Hotdog, the Thai Chicken, and the Matcha chocolate truffles. Both savory crepes were very delicious and were packed with fresh veggies. For the Okinawa Hotdog, I wasn't so sure what exactly made it an "okinawa" hotdog per say. It tasted like a normal hotdog to me. Also, the banana ketchup sauce that went with it wasn't infused with enough banana flavoring. The Thai Chicken crepe was quite good. It was packed with flavor and had a kick to it. Though, for my own personal preference, it could be even spicier. The Matcha Chocolate Truffles crepe was more crispy than the other ones that I've tried for some reason. It was yummy also, but I wish they were more generous on the toppings. I ordered the lychee romance crepe, it was made within three to five minutes. Thus, their service is on point. FOOD: their crepes have a nice cripsy bite and begins to tenderize seconds after. I had the dessert crepes, and it was not too sweet. It was made in front of me, the flavor was satifying. Overall the taste is good, not wow! The best part was the exterior. I really enjoed the texture, since often times crepes are either too soft or too crisp for me. I wish they had better packaging for the crepe. T-swirl Crepe is one of the recently opened stores on that stretch of Union Street and the latest addition to the crepe with a twist craze. This creperie is totally worth the walk from Main Street. The storefront is decorated with plastic models of their different sweet and savory crepes and tasteful dark wooden furniture. The crepes here are made of rice flour so they still have the delicate crepe texture but are a little more tender and hold up to toppings a little better. The menu is extensive with equal number of sweet crepes like blueberry cheesecake and savory crepes like BLT and chicken teriyaki. I ordered the Lychee Romantic crepe and it was mind-blowingly delicious. Filled with rose-scented custard, lychee slices, fresh raspberries, it's a winning combination (especially those who don't like heavy desserts). The staff is friendly and fast and the open kitchen is very clean. The only negative is the small space. Cute little creperie place. Tiny in fact, with about 6 seats overall. A short walk from Flushing-Main St station, T swirl crepes is convenient for a crepe on the go. When you walk in, the smell of coffee hits you. The have a small espresso maker so you can enjoy a coffee should you want to pair it with your crepe. There are a number of crepe flavours, such as chocolate banana, matcha with azuki red bean, matcha chocolate, and mixed berry. They also have savoury flavours. But we were there for dessert. We ordered the matcha chocolate truffle crepe with slices of fresh strawberries and crushed pistachios. We also ordered the mixed berry crepe with strawberries, blueberries, and custard cream. Both were delicious, with a great textural contrast between the crunch of crepe, sweetness from the strawberry and pastry cream, and softness of the blueberries or chocolate truffle bits. Neither of these were overtly sweet, which I appreciated. The matcha however could have been a bit more prominent and perhaps was lost in the combination with chocolate truffle. I like that this place serves iced lemon water to cleanse your palate while eating their crepes. I also like that the crepes at T swirl crepes are made of rice flour, which makes it compatible for those looking for a gluten free dessert. The sweet crepes are different from the all others I've ever had as they put this yogurt cream mousse kind of thing inside and make it so that there is something in each bite. You're never just eating a crepe by it self. The crepes are crispy fresh off the grill?pan?(I don't know that that crepe making thing is called). The only other legit creperie I've been to is Eight Turn Crepe in Soho so I guess the best thing to do is write a comparison review. Decor: T swirl wins! I really liked the Christmas decorations that they put up because it's very in line with the rapidly dropping temperature outside and the imminent approach of the holiday season. There were also 2 benches to sit at, at T swirl as compared to 1 at Eight Turn and more seating FTW! Service: T swirl had nicer/quicker service. It took forever for me to get my crepe at Eight Turn but at T swirl I got it relatively quickly after I ordered. Crepe: I would say they're about the same. I would say I liked Eight Turn's crepe just a little more because I didn't like the egg-y taste of the one at T swirl. Toppings wise, I think I liked T swirl's more but the two flavors that I got were completely different so I can't really do a fair comparison. I got the Matcha azuki bean crepe and it came with green tea ice cream, strawberries, red bean, matcha cream, and yogurt and I found it to be very tasty. It also didn't seem as filling/nauseous as the one I got at Eight Turn. Price: T swirl is a little bit cheaper so T swirl wins! I probably won't be back since, again, I can probably live without crepes. This place is so yummy!!! I love it that we finally got another crepes place in flushing. Stopped by today with three of my friends, we got the nutty chocolate (extremely sweet!!) smoked salmon (really fresh) and banana chocolate (my favorite). It was pricey, ranging around $6.50 to $9 depending on which on you get. However, for the price it was filling! It's on Union st, so no parking near by! I love it that they have free iced lemon water for their customers (so thoughtful). They also have iced coffee and latte, I saw a little espresso machine behind the counter, super adorable. The girl and guy behind the register was so sweet and kind, they smiled! The menu is pretty straight forward in what kind of crepes they have, the price is pretty standard for a crepe in NYC nowadays. My friends and I ordered the Matcha Chocolate Truffles, Blueberry New York Cheesecake and the Lychee Romantic. The crepes are made fresh and you can see the detail they put into assembling the crepe behind the counter. I love the texture of the crepe, the center was soft while the edges are crunchy. One small thing - the crepe isn't exactly full size. What I'm trying to say is that the batter when placed on the pan and spread out doesn't cover the entire pan, which means you don't really get the whole crepe experience. I've been meaning to visit this place for the longest time, so my expectations were high. Aesthetically, this place did not disappoint. I love the window display of their cute and creative concoctions, and when I was handed my own matcha azuki crepe, I had to take a picture (not uploaded to yelp because there are already soo many pretty pictures for T-Swirl Crepe). The crepe was thoughtfully layered, with a mixture of matcha paste, red beans, and strawberries comprising each layer, two Pocky sticks on the side, and a scoop of matcha ice cream and pistachio shavings on top. These are some of my favorite dessert ingredients (minus chocolate), so I enjoyed the mixture in every bite. The reason why I ultimately gave it four stars is because I wish more thought was given to the texture. The crepe held the ingredients together but didn't add to the flavor, and it seemed a little floppy. I wish the crepe was crunchier and that there was more than a single scoop of ice cream, but these are nitpicky critiques and I would definitely revisit.
