I have been wanting to come here for the longest time as I love taiyaki, bingsoo (or as they call it snowflake), dessert toasts, and anything cafe related. I decided that my boyfriend and I were gonna spend our dive motnh anniversary here, as I wanted him to try out some great desserts too! He got a pork sandwich and some french fries with a drink as he didn't eat the whole day, while I got an injeogalmi toast. Both were very delicious! My boyfriend and I were plesantly surprised. After we got our red bean taiyaki, a matcha swirl ice cream taiyaki and a bowl of oreo snowflake. It all so very yummy that we were able ro devour most of it. The ice cream taiyaki can be very drippy so definitely grab some napkins. He and I will be returning very soon! read more

If this cafe was closer to home, I'd be in trouble... Lol! We stumbled across this cafe for a dessert. At first, we were planning to try the taiyaki, but the hotteok (Korean pancake) sounded really interesting and was something we hadn't tried before. We ordered a hotteok with matcha & ube soft serve, topped with pocky, almonds, and oreo crumbs. I was super happy when they said we can choose any two soft serve flavours, not just the combinations on the menu :) And you're allowed up to 3 toppings. Due to COVID-19 measure, we were asked to wait outside, and they'd bring it to our car once it's ready. We happily waited in our car for about 5-10 mins. Firstly, I was super impressed with the hotteok! It's crispy on the outside, the dough inside is slightly fluffy, and has a honey filling in the middle. It's a really nice combination! The matcha soft serve was not bad (I prefer stronger matcha taste, but honestly as a soft serve it'd pretty good). The ube soft serve had a much stronger taste though, which was nice! And we were happy with how well all the toppings worked. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. During normal times, I can imagine hanging out here with friends (they have a lot of tables inside). And I really want to come back to try other soft serve flavours & taiyaki :) read more

I was craving ice cream and my partner found this place on Yelp. We invited my sister to join us before it closed at 8 (new Covid hours). The inside is really cute and when you order, they do ask for you to go back to your car until your order is ready. I wanted the Belgium waffle but they didn't have it so I freaked and settled for just a cup of cookies and cream ice cream. My partner ordered the green tea Taiyaki and my sister got the Oreo snowflake bowl. A bowl is huge! We also ordered bulgogi and cheese fries. I will definitely not order cookies and cream ice cream again, but I LOVED everything else. The taiyaki was my favorite and I want to eat that all the time. Between a move across country and a newborn all in a few months I've been on a yelp hiatus. But life finally feels like it's starting to slow down so here I am back to my foodie habits and trying to find the best of the best. I had this place bookmarked last year while we were visiting but just never got around to trying it out and I can say I've missed out. I've recently been introduced to korean food and really am loving it, It's just so flavorful. And T-Town Cafe really came through with everything we ordered. You come in order and find seat, now the wait can take a while but it was worth it. My husband and I ordered some bulgogi fries to share, the bulgogi sandwich with kimchi added and a cheese dog and seriously everything was so good. My favorites were definitely the bulgogi sandwich because the bread they used with that sandwich just put it over the top and the meat was great quality but I think my highlight was the cheese dog. I recently saw that there was a place specializing in this Korean street food in Seattle and felt total FOMO so when I saw they had it here I had to order one. Now I don't eat hotdogs so I'm so happy there's a cheese version and if you're into mozzarella sticks then you have to try this cheese dog because it's like a mozzarella stick on crack. I can go on and on about how amazing it was but it was really like a cross between a mozzarella stick and donut topped off with sugar for that extra crunch and ketchup and spicy mayo- sounds like an odd combo but trust me I'm still dreaming about this, each bite had me wanting another. Now we did save room for dessert too, we went back and ordered two of their snowflake desserts ( Oreo and mango) as well as 2 filled taiyakis just because it felt like it was a staple and how can you leave here without trying what is pictured in every picture?! The Nutella taiyaki was really good though we weren't too impressed with the custard filled one. Service was friendly and food was even better. Would I come back here, absolutely! They're set up well for Covid - super clean with tables marked off and plexi glass between you and the cashier. You order at the counter and they'll buzz you when your order is ready. I had my first ever taiyaki here and was so pleased with my choice!! It was a but of a wait but the warm taiyaki filled with nutella went perfectly with vanilla ice cream and oreo cumbs. My one complaint was that it got messy because it melted so fast, but once I had a cute photo, a bowl, and a spoon I was content. The cafe has a great atmosphere and is definitely one I'd like to come back to. I think the prices and portions were reasonable as well. T-Town had a great Hotteok and menu offerings many Korean and Korean fusion cravings. The food was delicious, I would recommend the regular Hotteok over the ice cream sundae version. The biggest downfall here is the wait times for food. It takes the staff FOREVER to get the food out. We made two orders (one was to-go right before leaving) and we ended up waiting about 20 minutes for 2 Hotteok to have on the road. I come here about 2 times a year and this has been the experience every time. Otherwise, I think the food and restaurant with their decor is awesome. Hopefully they are able to reduce their serving time. I should mention that our to go order sat on the counter for about 5-7 minutes before our ringer rang as there was no one at the register. Lines piled up quite often due to no staff being at the front counter to hold down the fort. read more

Overall, it was quite tasty, and the ratio of shaved ice to toppings to ice cream was appropriate. The toppings were also not overly sweet, which I appreciated. However, their prices have recently increased and this single serving now costs $9 (!). This is a shame, because what otherwise was 4-star quality is getting dinged for being very overpriced. Also, I'm no shaved ice expert, but the shaving consistency/texture seemed appropriate--no large chunks or significant variation in flake size. With these prices, I probably won't be back. read more

First time coming into T-Town Cafe. I came in with my little sister, she got the blueberry Italian soda and a potato cheese corn dog. I would have taken a picture of everything but it was gone pretty fast. My sister gave the corn dog and the Italian soda a 5/5. I only tried the green tea latte it's sweetness was subtle which I like because I like to taste the green tea more. I'm buying a watermelon boba to bring to my little brother. Not a bad place to go! T-Town Cafe specializes more with bubble teas, ice cream and coffee drinks. The food menu isn't a particularly large one but what they have is good! I got their Spicy Pork sandwich that was very good... and it lives up to it's spicy name. Truth be told I've lost a lot of my resistance to hot, spicy foods but I enjoyed this sandwich the same.I got a side order of very good French Fries too. While the food items seem well-executed and are visually appealing, the cafe suffers from understaffing and perhaps an overly expansive menu. When I visited two years ago, a shaved ice (patbingsu) took over 20 minutes to come to our table. I eat here about once a week so it was about time that I leave a review and give my praise. It's difficult to talk about dishes that growing up weren't in my wheelhouse and frankly would scare away most Americans who haven't traveled the world to try the delicious nonsense everyone else comes up with. But I'll do my best. I come here for the Taiyaki. It's a sweet or savory filling in a fish shaped soft biscuit. The biscuit is crunchy on the outside and the interior is meant to be both solid but gooey at the same time. They are nearly impossible to make unless you're a master and these are the best I've ever had. They are worth coming to Washington State to try. The tteokboki are soft and chewy rice cakes. They are mixed with cheese, cabbage, and fishcakes. Topped with a spicy sauce that reminds me of a spicy bbq sauce without the vinegar. The corn dog is a hot dog wrapped with mozzarella cheese, potato chunks and toppings. Unlike anything I've ever had and life changing. Nothing else to say but it's amazing. read more

We stumbled upon this place when we were in Tacoma which if you are craving Asian desserts & boba, come check out this place. The store on the outside looks like it used to be a fast-food establishment but once you are inside, the space was quite welcoming. You order first and then given a buzzer when the food is ready. As others may have mentioned, the food does take a little bit of time for it to come out. We had the fruit ice bowl which came with strawberries, grapes, pineapple, mung beans, and a scoop of ice cream. I highly recommend sharing this! It was good and not overly sweet. The ice melted a bit fast compared to other shaved snow place I've been to. I also had a taro smoothie which was a bit watery but still good.
