The ambiance and service here is great. The drinks are great. I'm only disappointed with the calamari since it's nothing like the picture and was too burnt. I asked for a redo and they did but it's the coating in the squid rings that made it caramelize and burnt. Picture squid dipped in sugar chilis and refried a few times. Theeeee BEST T4 there is around the east bay! I've gone to a few before and have got to say the T4 in Clayton is wayyyyyyy better than the one in Walnut Creek by 1000%! The girls at this location are so nice and they make the tea so fast!!! I will forever choose this location for boba. Oowww and the egg bites here are made to perfection! My friend and i on friday (9/29)went here and had to wait 40 minutes just for 2 drinks. My other friends walked to burger king and walked back, which is about a 5 minute walk plus waiting for thier food another 5 mins. Our order still wasn't ready. They also wouldn't take our order so we had to order on the tablet.When i went up to the counter because i saw my drink, they made it wrong and switched up me and my friends' order and had to wait another 20 minutes. They were also very rude and was spilling the drinks everywhere. They also forgot my friends order and they had to go up and remind them about her order and when she tried it, it wasn't how they made it before and wasn't sweet. read more

The drinks were standard T4 BUT THE SNACKS WERE SO BAD!!! We got the calamari and popcorn chicken, neither were good. The calamari was burnt and very tough, not great. The popcorn chicken was awful and tasted like the chicken went bad, it too, was burnt. So bad.. had high hopes because I love T4 usually but damn. read more

The picture is the amount of food I received. The calamari was delicious. I just wished I received more of it. And for 5.95, I do not think the amount is worth the money. However, I enjoy getting the roasted oolong tea from this location. I get mine with regular sweetness and 80% ice. read more

I was very excited that they opened a location so close to home. Went in today to pick up my fave Fried Tofu and Basil Popcorn Chicken which I've had numerous times at other locations. Good but the boba was sweeter than im used to and the tea was a tad too sweet. That's on me though, forgot to specify sweeteness i wanted for the drink. My friend and i got the chicken katsu, really enjoyed it :) it's not the best i've had but come on. It's not a dine in restaurant. It's a quick serve tea shop. It's definitely worth what i paid. Went back to T4 Clayton today to grab a bento box for lunch. Got the chicken katsu bento (the other was the popcorn chicken). First, I'll say that not many fast food places ever get rice right (Chipotle never gets it right) but the steamed rice in this bento box was very good, kind of sticky which is the way I like it. The chicken katsu was ok, maybe just a tad overfried. A nice chicken cutlet sliced which gave me like 6 pieces which was good for the price. Maybe it's me but I'm not a big fan of the katsu sauce...a little too sweet for me but maybe, as I said, it's me. It came with some steamed broccoli and two gyoza dumplings on the side. The gyoza dumplings were like the ones you buy in a bag from the frozen section of the grocery store. OK tasting as well but I wouldn't order them by themselves. The flavor was nowhere close to how it's supposed to taste; it tasted like a milk tea. And the drink is usually layered (see their own marketing pix on yelp). I went here quite often when I was working close by before. The inside of the shop is clean, and now that I think about it, it was always clean whenever I would go there, the employees there were friendly and attentive to your needs. Parking situation was hit or miss, but it is in a Plaza so there is plenty of parking, but parking close by the shop was either vacant or occupied. When you look at the exterior, you would probably think it's small inside since that's what I assumed which I was wrong. Mt top 2 to-go drinks were the Mango Royal Tea and Caramel milk tea with clear pearls, and for some reason I prefer clear pearls over actual boba, and it's not that I don't like it, but because clear boba was easier for me to chew on. I've also had their fried tofu which has friend basil that compliments the aroma, that's another one of my to-go savory snacks! Gross,, today-- Super Bowl Sunday. I was there and ordered several drinks. Two workers, one woman with pink hair at the cashier and one woman with dark long hair in ponytail making drinks. At 2:35pm, the dark haired Asian woman killed a bug that was on the wall inside the drink area, with her bare hands. That's gross enough. What's more, she didn't even wash her hands after smushing a bug with her bare hands. She then proceeded to make drinks. 2:35, 2/2/2020. I hope there is a camera. Contra Costa health should do something. No wonder the store is running so many promo but people don't come. I for sure am grossed out.
