This is not my favorite T4 in the area. Their mango crema is not the same as the T4 in Walnut Creek. It's less salty which is weird because I think the drink is technically a Salted Creama. If you order through Door Dash, just know that their options are more limited there than the Walnut Creek T4. Anywhoo, I do go to this T4 when it's the closer options and they've never gotten a drink wrong.

    Matcha Latte with Boba, large-sized.

Honestly, my brother and I have been kind of obsessed with their drinks with cheese cream. You could pair that with any kind of tea, and it would be super delicious. The "cheese cream" topping, as the name might already suggest, is very creamy and adds a little bit of saltiness/savoriness to the overall flavor, snd that really balances out the sweetness from the tea. I still think their boba pearls are a little bit on the tougher/too chewy side and could benefit from being cooked more. But other than that, their drinks are pretty decent. It's still on my list to try their Popcorn Chicken, which my brother recommends. Hopefully soon. It's too bad that they still don't allow customers to sit down and enjoy their drinks inside the store. I could see lots of tables and chairs, but the area for "dining in" was still closed off when I last visited this store. Hopefully they'd open it ip soon.

Thai Milk Tea Black Oil Ramen with Pork

If you've ever wondered if perfection in a cup exists, head over to T4 Clayton and let their Thai tea answer that question with a resounding "Yes!" Unlike the rest of the pretenders, these magicians brew their tea fresh--no instant mixes here, thank you very much! I took a wild ride and threw in some coffee jelly, and boy, did it jazz up my life. That little addition turned my drink into a jiggly, joyous jamboree in a cup, and now there's no going back. But wait, there's more! I dove into their ramen recently, and it was like being hugged by a warm, noodly cloud. It's a huge, beautiful bowl that could probably solve all your problems. I mean, if comfort had a flavor, this ramen is it! And just when you think it couldn't get any better, there's a giant Connect 4 game on the wall that keeps my 8-year-old entertained while I slip into my Thai tea bliss. It's our new favorite spot where she can plot her world domination one blue disk at a time. So, if you're in the mood for a beverage breakthrough or a ramen revelation, T4 Clayton is your sanctuary. Come for the tea, stay for the ramen, and relish in the rare moments when your kid is actually too busy to interrupt your meal. T4 Clayton, you had me at "fresh brew."

Avocado slush - Delicious but more expensive than the one in Concord :/

I'm a lover of all things T4! I usually hit up the Concord location, but I love this location because it has so much more variety. Their drink menu is way more extensive here and they actually offer full on meals (ramen and such). My go-to drink at any T4 location has always been and will always be their avocado smoothie. It's just so addictive and ya girl just can't get enough! They really do their avocado smoothies justice. They use real avocado and it's always nice and thick and never too icy. Their milk teas are really yummy here too. Their coconut milk tea with coconut cream is insanely delicious! You can add so many different kinds of toppings and creams. I tend to keep it pretty basic, but every now and then I'll step outside of the box and add a new topping to my drink. The prices are a tad bit higher here than the other T4 locations nearby, but you cannot deny the high-quality tea and smoothies that they provide. I haven't yet tried any of their food but they always have meal deals and specials. They have discount days for certain drinks too. I'm signed up with their rewards program, so they send me emails with special offers and promotions. It's pretty spacious inside with lots of seating, and they keep it nice and clean. Whenever I'm on this side of town, I always try to stop here for a smoothie or milk tea because they know how to make them right.

The chicken katsu is not katsu at all. It's like Safeway chicken strips with katsu sauce and rice is mushy. Cooked with too much water. Mozzarella sticks and elegant rose tea is perfect.

They need to update the hours for the kitchen. Drove out of my way to get here and kitchen closes at 7:30. Not 8:00pm like yelp says.

This was my first time visiting them again since the ownership change so it's been a minute. What I see here now is just depressing, not just because the place was empty, but it's now devoid of anything that felt like a spot someone would want to hangout at. No music, when I got in there was one person waiting for their food and nobody was even at the front counter for minutes before somebody finally came out from the back. Ordering is just through the kiosk now, which isn't a bad thing. The part that was really rough was the reason why I even came here; the boba. I got a regular milk tea which now they only have a single size. I miss the extra large size they used to have, but oh well. The next issue comes with how much the boba actually costs. They may have gotten rid of the extra large cup sizes, but they're still charging the almost the same amount for it in a much smaller cup. What a deal, right? And we get to the actual drink. When the person making the drink after receiving your order finishes within a minute of making it, it's never a good sign. Why is that? Well, they had premade jug of milk tea ready to pour out for your tasting pleasure. When you have a premade jug of milk tea, it's never a good sign. While I've had them at other places that have done this before, and it's ranged from bad to mediocre, the one here at Milk Tea Lab, now, was in a word, rancid. It was incredibly gross with absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. I generally try not to be so harsh, but this was really not it and I couldn't even finish the boba because of how bad the milk tea was. It's sad to see how big of a dropoff this spot has become compared to what it used to be. This isn't like when they first opened where there were only 2-3 boba spots right next to them. Now there's at least a handful of options within a few minutes away, and dozens of spots within a mile or two, and this is what they're pushing out? It's a shame but this Milk Tea Lab which was their starter store is no longer a place I would ever go back to for boba. It's time is now past with this new ownership.

Ordered a Taro milk tea with red bean and Boba…read more Before I ordered, I made sure that the lady behind the desk had oat, almond, or dairy free milk options. She must've misheard me when I said, oat milk, cause she started using whole milk after I ordered. I told her I have dairy sensitivities. And she said that is the only milk that she had. But this was after I paid for the drink... i've never had a problem at other locations with no other dairy options. ...there was also barely any Boba and half the drink was red bean. Very disappointed. I must've been fourth in line after a family, and three other customers were served before me. If you have dairy sensitivity, DO NOT come here. I do not recommend it. Probably not coming back here again.
