I ordered an Earl Gray Milk Tea and it tasted extremely watered down. I went back to the store and asked them to remake it. The person in the front taking the orders was nice and apologetic hence the 2 stars but the person making the drinks gave me dirty looks. I'm not sure why as I was polite when asking if they could remake my drink. When I got my drink the second time, it was slightly better (had good sweet and milk flavor) but again seemed watered down (most likely the tea). I've been to many T4s locations and none of them taste like this. I felt extremely uncomfortable by the person who made the drinks and did not bother going back a third time. There was one guy behind the counter but he was quite efficient and we didn't have to wait too long to get our drinks. Two people ordered in front of us and then we ordered. He took the time to ask about the customization (percentage of sweetness and ice content) and sizes. I entered my phone number into the screen and turned it for the stamp credit. We waited for a short time and he had our orders and the orders of the people in front of us at the same time. We were there in the afternoon and the tables were 80% occupied with people. It was a bustling weekday afternoon. There aren't any other boba places in this shopping center or in the immediate area so this is your best bet for this part of Concord and Clayton. read more

I phone ordered pop chicken and a drink. When I got in and my order was ready, I can just pay and leave, it takes less a minute, but the receptionist asked me to go the long wait line to pay. SERVICE Ok let's be honest: sometimes you know your drink will taste like crap before you even get it. There have been one too many times where I know that the guys and gals behind the counter don't care to be there or don't seem to take pride in their work. Not here. Every single time we've been here, the staff (who are mostly young) have treated us professionally and they've always taken their time to measure and mix the drinks according to how we've ordered them. If you look behind the counter, everything is spotless and/or cleaned up after the drinks are made. Be observant and watch how well trained they are. Absolutely wonderful location. The staff are the best and always get our order perfect. The store is well kept and has a great vibe. Unfortunately the only drawback is that the summers get really hot and its uncomfortable in the shop. The staff only have a single box fan to cool down. We are SO GLAD this is open! The flavors are great! The tea is fresh. Great selection without being overwhelming. The boba has the right amount of chewiness. The price is right. Their savory snacks just has the right amount of seasoning to offset the sweetness of their teas. In addition, they have ranch sauce and seasoning on the side for your snacks. They have a streamlined ordering system so that orders come out fast. The only reason we docked it a star is because of the times we went in, they had run out of large boba and we had to make do with the small boba (which the kids didn't like), but no biggie. Super close to the CSUEB campus! Only 5min drive. Very spacious and clean store! I came around noon, no wait and drinks were made within minutes! I've had this kinda drink before but it was a long long time ago and all I remember was that it was mango and had weird yet amazing chewy things in it. So so good. I was hoping this would be the same thing. I walk in and was met by this nice yet shy young girl working the counter. I have NO IDEA what to oder. And the huge menu on the wall was confusing the hell outta me and my ADHD brain. Uhhhhh??? And here I thought I knew what the hell i was doing. I didn't. I tried asking the girl. But she was no help. She looked at me like I had 3 eyes and purple tentacles coming out my head. Startled. A little afraid? Well I was getting frustrated and just said some random name from the picture menu. Apparently I ordered the Snow Glob Milk Tea. Stupid me ordered a large. No odd ons or adjusting the sweetness. Which I asked the girl what she would recommend. Again, my 3 eyes and tentacles must have been too distracting. The drink sucked. It was horrible. And my father said it was the worst thing he's ever drank. So sad. Take two: I'm not ready to give up. I spend a few hours researching Milk Tea and how to order and what things mean. It's quite a process. But I was determined to find something good. So I take my mom with me and go back READY to order. I get a large Taro Pearl Milk Tea with sea salt cream 80% sugar. Making sure to get the pearls and not the bubbles. Again super sweet but OMG OMG SOOOOO GOOD. yay!! My mom got a hot jasmine Milk Tea with no pearls. To me it tasted like just plain regular jasmine tea. Like I could make it at home for 50 cents. Not impressed. Boring. I guess she liked it. Also... I ordered an egg puff. My first egg puff ever so I was excited to try it. When I got home I realize they never gave it to me. Maybe partially my fault? But come on.... I was the only customer in there with my mom. And there are 2 guys working. When he gave me our drinks I asked for napkins and straws (taking my time) and thanked him and walked out. You'd think he would stop me and say don't forget your puff! Right? Oh well. I went back. It's a pretty good bubble tea, though they weren't allowing anyone to sit indoor. Masks were still required to enter. Also, I was the only one there, but it took at additional 30 minutes to get the food I ordered. There was plenty of parking, though the spaces were tight. Chicken was bomb, juicy and good bite sized pieces, the calamari was yummy but the rings were so big! Harder to eat. This was a few months ago but since t4 clayton keeps asking me to review on yelp...I stopped coming here because we were waiting on our weekly order we used to go at least once a week and order 4 drinks plus food. Well my food had maggot in it specifically in the broccoli. I had eaten a good amount of it before I noticed and I was in my car its not like I was under a tree I sas still in front of the store so I don't know if it was more. I was shook! I was super nice and they gave a quick refund (for the food only we did not drink the drinks after either) I do wonder if they were ever honest and actually properly disposed of all food and notify who they need and take the proper steps to correct this. I reported it but never heard back from the city/county. So after seeing yelp always ask me to leave my review. Here it is I hope you were honest T4 and took responsibly because you served me food with maggots. Not a gnat, or hair. MAGGOTS. Maybe I will try walnut creek T4 after I check with the health dept.
