Drink wasn't overly sweet like some other avocado smoothies I've tried at other places, but the taste of alocado was subtle taste. I might order it again if I want a not so sweet alternative drink. My friend got the chamango drink, and he said it was really good. I saw that it did contain a lot of fruit. The place itself was nice. There were cards and some games available for use. We played dominos. Overall an enjoyable experience. I gave it four stars instead of five, because we did wait a long time for our orders to be made. It must have been about a twenty minute wait. Pretty friendly staff and nothing too spectacular with their selection (Vietnamese coffee, iced tea, milk tea, smoothie/slush, iced milk drink, etc). This has been one of my favorite places to get Boba since I've been back in San Gabriel. The drinks are delicious, the server is so sweet, and I love the free upgrade for checking into Yelp. I couldn't remember what I got when I first tried this place out, I believe it was the Almond milk tea. I love their Taro Milk Tea with boba. The boba was soft and chewy throughout the "meal." The taro had great flavor, it would be interesting to see how it taste with chunks of taro in it. Their Rose Green tea with lychee also had great flavor. Their Jasmine Green Tea, didn't stand out after trying my friends' other teas, so I would avoid this one. Can't wait to try out their other flavors here. Keep in mind it is a cash only place if your order is under $10. Oh! I also wanted to mention, it takes awhile for them to make your boba because there is only one women working there. I really like this place! The seats are comfy, outlets are abundant and the noise level isn't too bad. Since it's close to schools, it can get busy at times but once they clear out, it's a great place to get some work done or just chill. The owners are pretty chill. I believe I got the mango passion and I forgot (again lol) to tell them less ice and less sugar. It was perfect and definitely not too sweet. I also ordered the popcorn chicken and I really liked how it had a nice crunch without being too thick on breading and not too dry or overly seasoned. Five stars for cleanliness, service and quality! If I were to knock of any points, it would be for access, but, if you know San Gabriel, it's a lot better access than most places. I have been here a couple times and had two great experiences. The place is kept really clean, not the usual for San Gabriel tea, coffee and eateries. It was nice to walk in, look at all the seating and not pick a place to sit based on it being the cleanest table. The drinks I ordered both times were very flavorful and exactly how I expected them to taste. Different drinks per visit. The service was impeccable!!!! The owner and server were very welcoming and made me and my buddies feel like we owned the place!! Well, except for the fact they charged us. Ellen the server actually sat with us and played a card game while we enjoyed the drinks she had just made us. And she even let me win! Haha! The one time I went, everything seems to be hassle free! I had no problem with parking, finding tables, ordering, and so on. So my friend and I came here on a Sunday night to study. Don't get me wrong, it gets packed but we were just lucky enough to have tables open for us as we walked in. The setting is not too bad; homework and studying can definitely take place. The background music are almost all covers by Boyce Avenue, just a heads up. The songs don't even finish - it stops halfway, plays the same song but with the preview, then proceeds to an another cover. Kinda weird if you ask me. Drinks are pretty good. She always orders this one with aloe, which adds a fun jelly-like texture to the drink. *Popcorn Chicken - Not the best popcorn chicken I've had, but definitely different from what I'm used to. The spicier flavors come out with a brighter red color, which I found interesting. *Cajun Fries - Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Its just like fries you get anywhere else except saltier and slightly spicier. *Chicken Cutlet - I don't see many tea houses and boba shops selling these traditional Taiwanese chicken cutlets. But they are goddamn delicious. Don't mistake these for popcorn chicken though. The craving for spam musubi hit hard on Friday, so I planned to pick up some orders for Friday night dinner. I (and the BF) loved the spam musubi at Boba Tea Lounge but it was slightly out of the way. Thanks to John T's recommendation to try the musubi at T4U Cafe, I found this spot to be much closer on my path from work to home. Right after work, I stopped by for 2 orders of spam musubi ($3.99 for each order, 2 pieces per order) and an order of popcorn chicken ($4.99). I noticed when checking in on Yelp that there is a offer for a free size upgrade on drinks, but alas, I wasn't planning on ordering any drinks this visit. While I was waiting for the food, the server mentioned it will take some time to make the musubi and popcorn chicken and said I can take a seat at their couch or chairs while waiting. Appreciate the kindness of that gesture. The place itself is not meant for gatherings of large groups. They have about 4-5 tables and a couch (2 seater) with coffee table. So how was the food? The popcorn chicken comes in 4 flavor options: original, BBQ, cajun, and spicy. I didn't realize original meant no flavor (no wonder they didn't ask how spicy I wanted it) -_- so I ended up using all of the side of ranch for dipping. And yes, this is also the first time I've seen ranch given as a dipping sauce. The popcorn chicken was crisp and crunchy, but not chewy, reminding me of those shake and bake type chicken. BF kept saying he tasted a hint of seafood, like maybe they fried it in the same batch with fried squid or something. We give 3 stars for the popcorn chicken. Solid tea place in SGV! Comparable in quality to A+ tea house, which is basically right next door. I think T4U specializes more in their slush and smoothie options than their teas. I ended up getting a taro slush, which was a little icy, but overall very true to the taro flavor. It didn't taste artificial, something I'm always hyper critical of! They also have a huge menu of other popular slush options. My friends got their hot tea options, and were pretty satisfied. We came on a Thursday night around 8pm and didn't have trouble finding a table, though the place was pretty populated. Almost every seat/table was taken. I was craving some popcorn chicken so I decided to give this place a try. I would definitely say that the popcorn chicken here is tastier than the average ones sold at other boba places. The batter of the chicken is more rich and crispy. I would say that the amount you get per order is a decent size. For $4.50, I think it's worth a try. I also tried their regular milk tea and peach mango green tea. For $1.99 (medium size), I would say that their milk tea is pretty on point. On the other hand, the peach mango green tea, in my opinion, had a tad bit too much of a green tea taste. There was a very subtle hint of peach/mango and the drink itself was not on the sweet. Dedicated parking lot which helps considering its on San Gabriel Blvd. The honey green tea with grass jelly was average at best. I found the tea to lack the brew and bitter flavor that one would expect. The grass jelly was pretty good. It's relatively small inside so a few tables and chairs. They do sell food at around the $5 range, so might be a nice alternative to fast food. I'll consider revising this review once I try some other drinks. read more
