I was craving some popcorn chicken so I decided to give this place a try. I would definitely say that the popcorn chicken here is tastier than the average ones sold at other boba places. The batter of the chicken is more rich and crispy. I would say that the amount you get per order is a decent size. For $4.50, I think it's worth a try. I also tried their regular milk tea and peach mango green tea. For $1.99 (medium size), I would say that their milk tea is pretty on point. On the other hand, the peach mango green tea, in my opinion, had a tad bit too much of a green tea taste. There was a very subtle hint of peach/mango and the drink itself was not on the sweet. Dedicated parking lot which helps considering its on San Gabriel Blvd. The honey green tea with grass jelly was average at best. I found the tea to lack the brew and bitter flavor that one would expect. The grass jelly was pretty good. It's relatively small inside so a few tables and chairs. They do sell food at around the $5 range, so might be a nice alternative to fast food. I'll consider revising this review once I try some other drinks. read more

I came here after hearing about their drink Chamango with boba! When I came here on a Monday night, there was only one employee working in the front. He was friendly- so service was good! The place is located in a tiny plaza that is kind of hard to notice from all the traffic on the street. I came here with my family and we ordered a Chamango with boba, Fruit Frenzy, and 2 Peach Mango GT with boba (we used the "Upgrade to large" on one of GT). The total came out to be around $17 for the drinks- and 3 of them were regular. Chamango w boba- After I took a sip, I thought to myself... Why haven't I thought of putting boba in Chamango before??? The Chamango is actually really good with the boba! And their boba is soft and chewy! The Chamango itself is not that spicy compared to other places I've been to. I can't handle spiciness so I was surprised to find that I was able to drink their Chamango. The mango chunks on top of the drink was sweet and soft. The Chamango with boba is worth it! Fruit Frenzy- The tea in the drink is green tea and I thought it was really strong. There were honey dew, cantaloupe, and mango pieces inside- all tasted fresh. Overall, it was good. Peach Mango GT w boba- When I tried a sip, I thought the tea was light in flavor. it could have been that I didn't taste much after drinking the Fruit Frenzy since the green tea was strong. But I really like their boba because I don't really have to chew on it compared to other boba places. I probably wouldn't get this next time I return since there are so many other drinks to try on their top 10 list of popular drinks. My friend heard this place just opened so we decided to go check it out. It's just like any small boba place, it was pretty mediocre. Nothing bad but nothing great either. What really caught my attention was that they had cassava cake. My friend asked the employee there what it was but she had no idea -________- Since I'm filipino, I knew it was a bread dessert with coconut and my friend ordered it. The cake size was about a small fist size(idk what to compare it to) with green tea ice cream on top. My friend didn't like the two together so she had the ice cream and I ate the cake, but I thought it was pretty good. The seating inside is two small tables and a couch with a table in front of it. I had a mixed experience with this place. While hanging out at a friend's place, she placed an order using GrubHubb & the order arrived timely with our order and the food was distinctly different and pretty good. Noting this experience, I wanted to try it again and sought out their B&M store located next to an optometrist shop in a pretty empty plaza in SGV. Honestly, you can drive by this place and not even realize it's there since it's in a pretty empty part of SGV where not a lot of late night foot traffic happens. Friend & I arrived late Tuesday night seeking a light dinner/snacks and to just catch up. Plenty of parking and entrances in both the front and the back of the shop. Walking in, nice modern décor with a total of 4 tables seating parties of 4-6, and one round high table, easily seating at least 6-8 if you squeeze in. Pretty small space and pretty much meant for grabbing drinks or just a quick chat; definitely not for people to hang around and study/loiter around. Menus are available in laminated format, computer screens, hardboard pictures and chalkboard overhead options. Restroom is located off to the side - clean & stocked. Food: Friend & I both ordered the Chicken Katsu with a scoop or rice & scoop of macaroni salad. Not being a fan of mac salad, I substituted with an extra scoop of rice instead. Additionally, ordered the spam masubi (comes in a pair per order) and a drink each. Being pretty late, there was only 1 employee working that night (it seemed) as after we placed our order, she was in the back the entire time fixing up the food. We were waiting for a good 15 mins. waiting for our drinks (which we hoped would come first), but instead, they were only delivered a few mins. before our actual meal was). Mango slush was nice & icy. Hokkaido milk tea was also pretty good. The Chicken Katsu was heavily breaded and crispy, definitely needed the sauce that came with it for flavoring which offered a nice tangy kick to it. Very disappointed in the spam masubi, however. T4U's version basically has the spam thrown into the oil with a crispy breaded batter prior to wrapping it up in the traditional seaweed and rice with sauce version. The spam was a bit dry and the breading crisp did not do it any favors at all. The rice was not fully cooked and when bit into, can actually hear the pop of the hard portion of the rice and grainy taste still present. We tore the masubi apart in an attempt to savage what we could, but ultimately ate only ¾ of each and left 2 whole untouched masubi remaining and behind. Not sure what went wrong, but probably will not be back for the food. Drinks were better, but a bit far out of the way just for good drinks that can be found anywhere in SGV. read more

But then again, I came around 8:30 and they close at 10 so I understand they wouldn't make boba. I'll probably come back in daytime to see if their boba is different. The popcorn chicken was good because the batter. I like really crunchy but not burned... if you know what I mean. If your a college student and need a place to study it's a small quiet place to do it. As for the drinks I'd have to say it sucked. As the ingredients for my drink wasn't even fresh. It had this strong aftertaste and I can see powder crystals floating at the bottom. Since these places are a dime a dozen I'll just find another spot to check out next time I'm in the area. Also when your patrons are smoking outside the door and the fumes and permeating the inside it gets quite annoying. Ordered my drink at 1:12 am through the app they have on their website. Arrived at 1:20. Sat in the car for 10 minutes. No confirmation- but the "owner" saw me pull up. Went today so excited to try the popcorn chicken and tea with my friend around 1pm. Long story short there was only one person there and it took about half an hour to make our three drinks and our food (3 orders popcorn chicken and 3 orders of musubi) My friend and I were not at all upset about the wait since we were not in a rush; however, the food..... I'm confused. I read all these reviews about how good the food is..... but our popcorn chicken literally tastes like nothing at all. Like.... cardboard, or something. For Studying: Recommended by my cousin, she enjoys studying here because it's not really packed. They play music here at a reasonable voice level, it's something you can hear in the whole place but not overly loud. There are multiple outlets around the store, which is something I look for. Also a good parking lot, that's kind of small, but it doesn't seem to fill up easily. For Food/Drinks: I got the avocado smoothie with boba. I was surprised by how much I didnt like it, especially without the boba. It's on their top 10 list of drinks. To me the drink tasted super bland, there was no flavor, my cousin agreed. Read some stellar reviews of the popcorn chicken so I had to come here to give it a try. It is close to my children's art school so it is conveniently located for me. Right off the bat I have to give the Service a 5. The people are super friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. I had the mango green tea and it was very refreshing. Not super sweet or watery. Good flavor. Now for the disappointment. I think this was the worst popcorn chicken I've ever had in LA. I ordered it with Cajun spices but when I ate one there was hardly any taste at all. In fact I wasn't even sure it was chicken I was eating. It was so covered with breading that I couldn't discern any meat inside. The closest equivalent I can think of is the popcorn shrimp you get at Red Lobster. You know it's supposed to have meat inside but you can't really tell through all that breading. So if you like super crunchy popcorn chicken but don't really care about taste or meat content this is the popcorn chicken for you. We ordered through Door Dash and we got popcorn chicken 2x, 1 chicken katsu plate, mozzarella sticks with a side of rice and cajun fries. My son said the fries were a bit salty but cajun is like that. The dipping sauces were good. We were all happy with our food at almost 3am. Oh and we got 1 Italian soda and 1 Milk tea. Got my hair done and after sitting in a chair for 4 hours, decided to grab something to eat before I fainted. I found this place on YELP (obviously) and knew I had to try it b/c of all the good reviews. Can't lie, I am REALLY impressed. POPCORN CHICKEN: The popcorn chicken here...wow. I've had A LOT of popcorn chicken in my life-especially back in college (there's this boba cafe that had a special on popcorn chicken and rice with a milk tea boba) and being Asian and loving boba, I've tasted my fair share of them and this place takes the cake. It's SOOOOOO good. Most popcorn chicken is basically just a small piece of chicken devoured in thick batter, but the popcorn chicken here is actual chunks of white chicken with a crispy (reminds me of shake and bake) batter. It's enough to give the chicken some flavor (I got the spicy one, they also have different flavors) but not too much to overpower it. The spicy chicken wasn't even spicy, so that was a bummer :( but it was still good nonetheless. It also comes with a side of ranch dressing which is different from the standard sweet n sour sauce. Although the ranch did go well with the popcorn chicken, I kind of wish they did offer sweet n sour sauce :X DRINKS: I got the fruit frenzy(half sweet) (one of their most popular drinks on the menu) and it was really light and refreshing. The little fruit bits at the bottom were good, but could be sweeter. The overall tea wasn't super strong, but it wasn't super sweet either which I liked. It tastes the way a fruit taste should taste-sweet, refreshing, and light. I got my brother the peach green tea (regular sugar) and he said it was good, and not overly sweet. PARKING: Parking lot is pretty standard for a plaza that size. When I went (around 5pm on a Thursday) there were some spots left, but I can imagine that it would be difficult to find parking here on the weekends. INTERIOR: Very clean, and nicely decorated. I love their menu (the font, colors, ect) and the guy in the front was nice. I DID wish that he would have mentioned the free drink upgrade though (I didn't know until afterwards) so that was kind of lame. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that he 1. is new or 2. forgot. He was the only one working I'm pretty sure since he took orders then went in the back, came back out with food, and served it. I'm assuming it's because the place is so small that they only put him in charge for the day, but hopefully during the weekend they would have at least two people working b/c I can see how it could frustrating being one person and doing three people's jobs lol.
