5 Stars!!! Soooo good. My wife and I are not vegan but Tabay's impressed us greatly. The food was so tasty. My wife got the Persian Kabob Wrap and I got the Mexican Pizza. The Kabob Wrap had wonderful seasoning and flavors that took her back to when her dad would make kabob. The Mexican Pizza was delicious with the perfect crispy and flakey crust. I added guacamole and pickled jalapeño peppers and it was amazing. We both couldn't believe it was Vegan. To top it all off, meeting Tabay and his mom Sahel is one of our highlights of our trip to Maui. Both are infectious, kind, and great people. Sahel's Cordon Bleu training and Tabay's two Culinary school degrees show in the wonderful creations. They both have a passion for delicious healthy eating. You must meet them. The food truck is parked next to Costco in a food truck park. Easy to get to and great parking. They also have one of the largest menu's I have seen in a food truck. After missing a flight with my wife, two young sons, and mother-in-law, we stumbled upon this gem next to the Courtyard Marriott. The food blew me away! I had the Persian Burger and cherry drink, thanks to a very attentive and informative walkthrough of the menu by Tabay and his mother. I'm a meat eater, and I was genuinely surprised the meal was completely vegan -- it was packed with flavor and not gimmicky at all (which, unfortunately, I've experienced before due to my wife's lifelong vegetarian diet). Found the most incredible vegan food in Maui! I got the fish tacos, breakfast sandwich, chicken nuggets, chicken wrap and chimichangas. Everything was beyond delicious and my non-vegan family couldn't tell the difference haha..that's how you KNOW it's great vegan food. Holy crap!! Repeat after me: You do NOT need to be a vegan to eat here!! Admittedly as a self-confessed hardcore carnivorous, omnivorous consumer, I felt compelled to visit Tabay's after reading about the tragic fire that incinerated the home of this wonderful Persian family. Thankfully they re-opened and serve yummy food daily! On my first visit, I ordered the Persian burger and the Persian cherry drink. The point of service touch screen was very easy to use; and easily allowed for modifications and additions. Suffice it to say, the food was beyond scrumptious--- definitely leaps and bounds beyond the typical veggie burger. The Persian burger was so flavorful, fresh and filling; served on a nice warm bun with crisp veggies; the tasty white creamy sauce made it truly delectable. Also, in the midst of the afternoon Kahului heat, the Persian cherry drink was really refreshing. After consuming the Persian burger, I felt way more energized in contrast to when eating the typical animal protein burgers (albeit delicious) that leave me feeling exhausted and sluggish with bouts of intermittent animal aftertaste!! Best of all, I got to meet the food truck founder / creator: Tabay and see his beautiful mother in the foodtruck. The service and ambience was warm and welcoming, very typical of Persian hospitality. Please come support this wonderful small business. And make sure to support the other nearby food trucks. Just remember that this is the food truck village adjacent to the Marriott Courtyard Maui Hotel situated directly across from Costco.
